AVOID!

My partner dropped his car off at FastFit for a standard MOT and service.

Something went wrong during the appointment, meaning that the automatic transmission stopped working and therefore the car was undriveable. This might have been because something was unplugged or tinkered with during the appointment as there were no issues with the transmission prior.

They called him whilst we were out, informing him of the issue and that they will 'try' to fix the issue but they do not have their diagnostics guy in until Monday so they might have to give him a courtesy car in the meantime.

This was very annoying to hear but what can you do.

Then, he gets a call saying to come to FastFit. When we arrive, all of the workers were standing outside with beers in their hands, having a good old chat and loitering around until their finish at 5:00pm (opening times on Saturday state 8:00am-5:00pm - we got to FastFit to collect the car at 4:30, so they still had half an hour to go)????

The car was not fixed, and he was given a courtesy car - an ELECTRIC Nissan Leaf, with only 70% charge and limited mileage range. He asked if they had anything else to use as he travels quite far for work and this would not be sufficient. Nope - no other cars. No petrol/diesel cars, only electric. It was the ONLY courtesy car they had on site. How ridiculous. What standard person has the kit/capacity to charge an electric car at their house??

They said it was either that or nothing.

The whole experience was awful from start to finish and this gives FastFit such a poor image and reputation, and quite frankly, it's embarrassing.

Absolutely avoid this company at all costs. They are money thieving cowboys and do not provide any sort of customer experience or service.

Me and family will certainly be avoiding FastFit, and I will be telling anyone I can also.

Mixed experience

So, I needed a new set of rear brake disks, pads, and I thought callipers quickly and my normal garage couldn’t fit me in. The guys checked it over and said the pistons had seized and that I didn’t need new callipers as they could clean them and put them back. This was all very good I thought. So, I collected my car and everything looked good… However, on the Monday I had my MOT and service with my regular garage. When dropping it off I told them not to change the brake fluid as it was just done with the brake change. When I collected the car they told me the brake fluid had not been changed. I questioned how they knew this as I was billed £47 for new fluid 2 days ago. They said there is a meter that identifies a green, Amber or red indicator when they dip it in, and mine had an amber light, meaning the fluid had not been changed, and would need changing at the next service…

I decided not to confront Fast Fit over this, as to be honest I couldn’t be bothered arguing over it, and I couldn’t personally prove it otherwise. But, I can withdraw any further business. Shame.

Waste 5 days waiting = -1 customer.

Milton Keynes - Have used them for 4 years without a problem, so I book my car in for it's annual MOT and they tell me they don't do appointments before 10:30 anymore and I have to wait 5 days for the next one. So I book it anyway and wait for 5 days, then take my car in and they tell me they aren't MOT my car because the ramp is broken. They can't recommend an alternative. Go away kind of attitude. What a waste of time. -1 customer, FastFit.

Fastfit HATES women!!!

My Mother’s car sadly had a puncture at night meaning the RAC had to drop her car off there as she didn’t have a spare. She called them in the morning to get it sorted and straight away was treated to hostility from whoever answered the phone. She asked how much it would be and the man responded ‘I don’t know’ in a very inconvenient way. She gets down there and some how the mechanic is unable to find the wing nut… the mechanic there couldn’t find the wing nut. We might as well of had Stevie Wonder sort the tyre. Anyway, as he couldn’t find it, he starts shouting at my Mother as where it was. I’m sorry but they wouldn’t have treated a man like this. It’s pure and simple sexism with this disgusting place. If you’re a woman or you’re man that likes women, don’t come here because they’ll hate you for it.

New Tyres…

The greeting at the main desk was friendly and informative. The tyre fitter was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He went out of his way to explain what he had done and did extra for me to ensure that I was happy.
A great garage and highly recommended.

AVOID AVOID my car was vibrating and…

AVOID AVOID my car was vibrating and was told it was wheel balancing. They clearly didn’t take it for a test drive before or after they done the wheel balancing because I drove home with the same problem. I took it to another garage to find it was the drive shafts that was actually the problem 😡😡.

scammers and can’t put a tyre on the right way round!

I went to fast fit at Milton Keynes Kingston branch as I kept loosing air in my front left tyre. Took it there without an appointment, they were happy to check it out for me.

A bloke brought my tyre into where I was waiting and I was told where I drove it on a flat I had ‘destroyed’ my tyre and would need to spend £100 on a new one! He didn’t explain how or where it was ‘destroyed’ but in the tyre there were bits of loose rubber where they clearly had put that there to make it look ‘destroyed’. funnily enough they didn’t have my tyre size in stock so they put my tyre back on put air into it and I’d wait for a call to fit a new one. I wanted a second opinion on this as I didn’t believe what they were telling me at all.

Went to a different garage today, I explained to that what FastFit had told me. After they had inspected my front left tyre they told me it was to do with the rim and not the tyre where the paintwork was wearing off it was causing air to leak through (i’m not 100% on the correct words used) but it was nothing to what Fastfit had said and I left with my wheel fixed and without paying a penny as well.

They also told me that the person who put my tyre back on at fastfit had put the OUTSIDE part of the tyre on the INSIDE! How on earth you make that mistake is baffling to me and dangerous as well! (I have a photo of this).

I am absolutely appalled by this branch and the fact they tried to scam me out of £100 by making up complete and utter lies! I will tell everyone I know to not trust this branch as they scam you and they clearly now nothing about cars!

Impressive

So far only 1 experience with Milton Keynes franchise. Customer service was impressive. Inspection was free & got complete explanation for a small defect which was fixed very cheaply. Was a good day in the end.

Avoid MOT here

I have taken my Car for MOT in Milton Keynes, Kingston centre.

They have failed MOT for one of the tyre's tread depth is below 1.6mm and they have also mentioned I shouldn't drive until the tyre is replaced.

I have believed them that they have failed for a valid reason.

I went to Costco which is opposite to their Garage, and I asked them to check if the tyres are ok, is MOT going to fail due to the tyres condition ?

They have checked the tyres and mentioned 2 tyres are worn but MOT shouldn't fail for that reason.

I don't know about Fast Fit station Garage intentions but please avoid this garage, find a better place.
