Fastfield Forms account and data deleted

I strongly caution you - DO NOT use Fastfield Forms (FFF). We had used it successfully for several years, but there were always a lot of random problems with form submission and not being able to download data from forms that we had submitted. However, the worst problem was that they cancelled my account and deleted all of our data without notifying me. In speaking with FFF support, they maintain that the account had been cancelled in April 2024, but this makes no sense because we used the account almost daily throughout 2024, and I have email proof of subscription to FFF, so I had provided payment information. We use FFF intermittently for projects. So, several months passed, and when we tried to access data from our FFF account, I could not log in. FFF tech support told me that my account had been cancelled, and so they deleted all of the data from their servers, since it had been more than 6 months since the cancellation date (the cancellation that we were unaware of and not notified of). None of what FFF has told me makes sense because: (1) there is only one FFF account manager, that is me, and I did not cancel our account since we were still using it, (2) we used the FFF account throughout 2024, which does not seem possible if the account had been cancelled in April 2024, (3) I regularly received emails from FFF about form submissions throughout 2024, demonstrating that FFF had the ability to email me if the account was about to be cancelled and our data was about to be deleted, and (4) I have proof that I subscribed to FFF. I will also say that FFF tech support is not very helpful - their replies are always superficial and curt, and it can take many emails to resolve a problem, if it gets resolved at all. Since everything is done by email or the web interface, this creates all sorts of communication issues that could easily be resolved with a phone conversation. The cancellation of our account and deletion of our data by FFF without any notification at all is outrageous and completely irresponsible and unprofessional, particularly for a company that is supposed to be managing client data. For us, this was several tens of thousands of dollars of data that FFF deleted even though we thought our account was still active. Most of our data was already backed up, but there were some missing files that we were searching for on FFF, which is how we even figured out that our account had been cancelled. So, do NOT use FFF unless you want to risk losing data, to deal with less than competent tech support, a work with glitchy interface, and face serious unreliability in how your data are stored and in account management and communication.
After dozens of emails today, FFF continue to state that our data have been deleted from their servers. If they manage to find a solution to the problems they created and can restore our data, then I will revise this review.

No courtesy after years of being a customer

We were a loyal customer with FastField for nearly 3 years. We came to the conclusion that we no longer needed the service, and requested to cancel. Unfortunately, they had just recently changed their billing schedule to bill prior to the month rather than at the end of the month. We weren't aware of this. Only one day after the charge, when we asked to be refunded as a courtesy for the upcoming month that we won't use at all, the only response we got was "the charge was valid if you didn't request cancellation prior to the bill date". I explained they just changed their billing system or we would've made sure to cancel before the charge. They were unwilling to extend any courtesy for a $50 charge after years being a customer. Bad customer service.

An apploication that loses your data in you make a simpole error

I work for a survey company involved in quantifying Train Fare dodging passengers and we used Fastfield as a Data Capture platform.
I made a simple error in logging on and it resulted in the loss of a whole days work.
I lost my days wage and expenses and was brow beaten that much by my employers that I was forced to resign.
It appears that the data was not recoverable or so I was led to believe.
Fastfield Forms is anything but user friendly and data can be lost quite easily due to errors that inevitably arise working on the hoof.
I would not recommend Fastfield to anyone.

Appalling Service

Due to a system upgrade, this stopped the GPS working. This happened in August/September 2023. We have emailed Fastfield many times, with no response. Finally, received a response informing us this would be resolved by Thanks Giving. This was not resolved and to date, still not resolved.
Again, we have sent many emails asking for updates and again, we have received nothing back.
The communication from Fastfield is appalling and that is why we have given 1 star only. We are still paying for a system that no longer provides us with the information required.

Beware of the extra cost of public forms

The forms are relatively intuitive to created there are a lot of options in the reports. Problem for us is that in the small print it states that you are charged extra for forms that are publicly accessed. We were unaware, you cannot set a limit to the forms, it has wiped our total budget for over 2 years and it makes it completely economically unviable to use....feels like we have been scammed - should really state clearly in the tables that this is the case.
