F-Secure Reviews 

I had this service for aprox 10+ years.
But sadly what not many people know about this company is due to it's heritage.
Even if this company is knowns as a Finnish one,but it's herritage is Russian.

Not physicaly,but when it comes to where the servers are located( and the team behind).
I myself wasn't so supirzed of what I've discovered when I performed an IP- Test.

Since I myself have Polish parents( grew up in the end of cold war back in the 1990's), but also of what I' ve read about this company.

Because however this maybe sound concpiracy,but to know the truth of modern history,you also havecto have knowledge of the past.
So,since the outbreak ( or should I say some sort of Russian eavle); We in the western countries( EU), have put some sort of embargo against Russia.
In wich not only is about goods,but also telecomunication.

So I had this service for many years,but the past 5-6 years it all went down( like an rollercoaster).
Because however when F- secure had the old type of Antivirus( not the modern based on Safe)- in wich my oppinion is more of an joke( or an open candy store).

Because however the old versions detected any threats( and if it was possibel remowed it), but sadly the modern once newer detect anything.( false detection)

But when it comes to their VPN- Services( wich is a part of their Total license)- I personaly wodn't recomend this service at all.

Because however you guaranted will be banned from any service.
Just a simpel Google serach will result in a ban( or Captcha code). I personaly can make this list infinity.
Not to mention any of the local public service companies; in wich is quite tolerant against VPN.

Since F- secure have not made up with it's heritage, you will have an usless service.
So I personaly woudn't recomend anyone to use this service.

It's even doesn't let me download my invoices from aliexpress! Very irritating app. Now need to find how reinstall it. And I payed in advance for 2 years.

i would never go back to f-secure i used to use them a few years back and it was descent i don't what happened but all it ever seem to do now is let infection through the irony is that the free one have cleared up and continues to protect what f-secure failed to

If you want the VPN fuction, for se some gepolitical blocker regions? It will NOT work. Have it, but regret that I baught it. And ofc, I do set the correct sever!

Never bye anything from this scam company.

The service is so bad you'll end up having a broken pc/connection to the internet.

Their VPN service mostly holds IP addresses that are banned, and most websites refuse to let you access their website due to bad and suspicious service.

I paid for 2years, 5 devices, F-Secure Total. The money was talen from my account but i never recived any product.
According to F-Secure it is the external company that handles the payments that messed up. But I must say that I think that a company like F-Secure must take some responsibility.

Used Bullguard until they sold to Norton which was awful and they want your card details even though you have already paid - shocking auto renew settings to so switched to 'F-secure Total' from ebay for £25 for TEN devlces. Really easy set up and operation now protecting out laptops pads and phones. the security and VPN run seamlessly without effecting speed so have the VPN set to auto run now. The ID security found some shocking breaches of our personal details and passwords which we have addresses immediately - First day of use and its paid for itself already - customer service it good and responsive too - recommended by our local pc repair shop

There is no reason for anyone to buy F Secure. You can get the same level of protection from a free anti-virus as well. F Secure does not even come with a firewall (many other Internet Security suites for the same price range do). F Secure has a broken interface that opens up every time your computer boots and the worst part is that you can just uninstall the product with no additional verifications. Click of a button, and your anti-virus is gone. :-O

Very bad service and customer relationship

Very poor ,always saying not protected and having to rejoin the same phone that itsalready on,won't be using again !

Nice company staff management is very nice and good COVID-19 policy is good

I was a user of F-Secure for probably 5+ years. Last year my laptop was becoming so slow that I bought a new one, and transferred the F-secure to that too.
I was really disappointed because this too was slow - very very slow. When my F-Secure subscription came up for review I looked around, and there were good reports of the inbuilt MS Defender. So I switched F Secure off, and Defender on. All of a sudden the laptop runs fast! I then went back and did the same on the old laptop, and bingo! It runs fast too!
Whatever F secure does, it seems to conflict with MS .. and slows the computer. Avoid!

Very poor communication service. they do not reply phone calls or emails for days and can take weeks.

Terrible product. Very buggy, can't update database, and keeps freezing. Not worth the money or your time trying to fix a dysfunctional product. I had to ask for a refund and although the product never really worked, they refused to give a full refund, and only offered a partial one. Essentially you pay for something that does not provide the service it's meant to. I won't waste my time again!

I have had F-Secure for a few years now and it has been effective.I decided to set up online banking and despite my best efforts I was thwarted by F-Secure. I contacted them but found myself confused and confounded by the help and support which really made me abandon my online banking facility.

F-secure product did not meet my needs.

It took a bit time to get reply for 30 day full money back guarantee.

Finally they refunded full amount. all good

F Secure does a good job, i have not experienced any issues with viruses and malware and i tend to visit risky sites on a regular basis.
major issue is the cost. It is much higher priced than comparable or better products, so i t have tried to unsubscribe for 2 years now.
The process to unsubscribe is deliberately long, time consuming and tedious. After 3 hours online and on the phone, i gave up the first time. I am going through this again.
It is designed to hold you hostage. BEWARE!

I reluctantly had to give a star to be able to continue. I have been trying for months to have f-secure removed because it allowed a porn channel entry and blocked all my payments when I tried to donate to charity. Finally a lovely young man called Francis, a technical team adviser, solved the problem. I was being charged for this service and it should have been free therefore it could not be removed. Francis achieved this tonight. I have spent MANY HOURS trying to have this sorted.. Tomorrow I look for compensation!

Don’t bother, absolute waste of time. F secure safe came with ad blocker which o thought would be handy on my iPhone. Turns out it blocked most featured pages on safari as they came up as ‘ads’. I contacted customer support and they told me that ad blocker for IOS doesn’t exist. I messed around on the app the try and turn it off in the AD BLOCKER icon (even though it doesn’t exist apparently) and there was no way to turn it off. The website was also useless and I was unable to cancel my subscription. I deleted the app in the end and low and behold, nothing is blocked on safari and all works fine.

Useless. Pointless. Unhelpful customer service staff that clearly don’t know the software.
