This is a Miscommunication

I have come to appreciate that i have over reacted to the difficulties I experienced. After asking, management was polite and helpful, providing a full refund. Please use if you have better experience with such programs and take my first reply with a grain of salt. This is a SCAM - avoid at all costs. You should report this site as an illegal site and continue to point this out to everyone who will listen. Either that, or drop a hundred and learn your lesson the hard way. They are crooks and their site is shit. Don't let their fancy blitz marketing think otherwise. Burned and turning it back on full burner!!!

This company advertises "over 3,500…

This company advertises "over 3,500 professional templates" which is completely deceptive. In reality, you get maybe 15 actual cover templates total unless you pay for the Pro version. The rest are borderline useless items like soda cans, coffee bags, CD covers, tablet mockups, and binder designs - things 99% of customers never need. I bought this specifically for ebook and print book covers to help with self-publishing. Instead, I'm stuck with a handful of basic options and hundreds of irrelevant templates that inflate their count. The Pro unlock only adds a few more useful designs while still pushing all that junk content. Save your money and find software that actually delivers what writers and authors need.

You are correct that EZ Cover Maker includes many "non-book" items like binders, mugs, and devices. We designed the tool this way because many authors use these specifically to create "Bundle" images and bonus offers for their marketing. Our goal was to be an all-in-one branding suite, not just a cover designer.

That said, we hear you. We are actively adding new book-specific cover templates to the library right now to ensure the selection is robust for authors who just want great book covers.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have tried a number of cover design and template programs, and have never come across a worse one. Here's my gripe:
1: Very deceptive advertising. They claim to offer ~3,500 templates. In reality what they offer are a very small handful of cover templates, with a "Pro" unlock that provides a handful more. There are other "templates" for things that are borderline useless. I guarantee 99% of people buying the software are looking for ebook or print cover templates to make their self-publishing life easier. You will NOT get these with this software. Instead, you'll get a few more templates for things like: 3D book covers, phone mockups, tablet mockups, binder mockups, brochures, cans (seriously?), coffee bags, mugs, cups, CDs (WTF?), and other such useless categories.
2: Attempting to use the design software on its own is pretty much a joke. Just use the free version of Canva and you'll get more features and a bigger library of imagery and fonts.

My disappointment in this software could only be greater if the owner had personally stopped in to slap me in the face for giving them money. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

1. Regarding the "Useless" Templates: You are right that our library includes assets like mugs, binders, and cans. These are part of our "Mega Mockup Expansion" set, which is designed specifically for authors creating "Book Bundles" and bonus offers. However, I completely understand that if you just wanted a book cover, seeing a soda can felt like clutter. We are actively adding more book-specific templates to improve this balance.

2. Regarding Canva: Canva is a fantastic general design tool. We built EZ Cover Maker specifically for authors to get 3D mockups and KDP-ready print files in one click, things that can be tricky or require paid add-ons elsewhere.

I am sorry we weren't the right fit for your workflow, but I hope the immediate refund proves that we are here to support authors, not "scam" them.

Price advertising illegal in Belgium

I found this companty through an add on Facebook.
As a selfpublishing author, I subscribed and upgraded to pro.
Immediatly, I regetted it. The account was 49 USD, the upgrade 69 USD.
What did I get? An account that said 69 USD, which I was willing to pay,but turned out to be 118.USD.
No working support button on the page.
The software was dissapointing. Not usefull for me. The templates were not my genre and E-book covers were not in the deal, while I needed them.
Asked my money back through PayPal. A useless no go for me, since the cover editing sorftware of my publisher is better and free.

I also want to clarify two points for all readers, as there seems to be a misunderstanding of how the software works:

1. The One-Time Pricing: The $49 is the lifetime license for the core software. The $69 "Pro" upgrade is an optional add-on pack. When you select an upgrade, it adds to your total (just like adding a second item to a shopping cart), it does not replace the original price.

2. E-Book Covers: You mentioned E-book covers were not in the deal, but this is incorrect. The standard $49 license absolutely includes unlimited E-book cover creation and export. It is the primary function of the software. If you couldn't find them, you may have been looking in the "3D Mockups" folder rather than the "Templates" folder.

I am sorry you had trouble finding the support link (it is located in the footer of every page and inside the dashboard), but I am glad we could resolve your refund request quickly.
