I had an exceptional experience with the company from start to finish.

I particularly appreciated that they served as a one-stop shop for all planning permission needs and were able to recommend companies they had worked with before. Their prices were also significantly better than those of other architectural firms.

Although I was initially hesitant to try them since they were relatively new, I decided to go with them, and I’m glad I did. I successfully obtained planning permission for a double-storey back extension and a front porch! 😁

The experience of working with Extensions Plans Uk from start to finish has been exceptional. I cannot fault a single thing, from the initial video consultation with Philip to the planning being approved has been seamless and extremely professional. Phillip listened to all my needs and created a plan which met all my expectations. Everything was mentioned right at the beginning, including details on the process and the costs. Cameron was also very helpful in dealing with the issues we faced with the planning officer, he communicated regularly provided me with updates and made several changes accordingly without any hesitation. As this was our first time applying for any building work, we were a little nervous, but the nerves were unfounded. Extension Plans UK made this understandable and straightforward, the guiding hand was reassuring, and the presence of our co-ordinator, Rebecca, excellent.

We couldn’t be happier with the service provided by our architects. We originally chose them because they offer a comprehensive service—from the initial survey through to build-over agreements, planning, and building control—which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Their competitive pricing was another big plus. Throughout the project, they’ve been incredibly responsive, with any design tweaks or amendments handled at lightning speed. We’re really pleased with the brilliant service and would happily recommend them to friends and family.

So efficient and has delivered on exactly what they promised. It is a confusing and costly process if things go wrong, having the team doing the heavy lifting, providing guidance and special thanks to Rebecca for keeping me updated on the progress.

First meeting with Josh - Design Consultation takes place on Zoom, to be fair 15 minutes and all done (me and my wife we knew what we wants so was very quick meeting) Josh done all correction on plan and explain everything what can be done and what can't go through due to regulation concern. Thank you Josh you have done great job with our plan. (plans accepted straight away without any correction by Oxford Council).
We have been also regularly informed about status of our application and about next steps of it by Rebecca Parnell - Studio Administrator, thank you very much about that.

Gave this company the job of drawing up the plans for an oak framed orangery and carport. They said they understood oak framing but it became apparent very quickly that they didn’t have a clue… I pulled them several times about idiotic mistakes (like putting an oak post in the middle of an existing doorway & bi folding doors which when folded back blocked the entrance into to orangery) it was like dealing with children. They were unresponsive coming back to me regarding my project & when I chased them up I was continually passed around the office, I barely spoke to the same person twice! They finally drew up plans which looked ok to me & I did gain planning permission but when I started to get quotes the builders were laughing as they were structurally unviable. In the end I gave up on the orangery - so I completely wasted my money here. I went ahead with the build of the carport but they kept trying to charge me to put in for building regulations even though I had an exemption certificate.. they didn’t realise that it didn’t need building regs. Both myself & Council planning office were getting really frustrated with them. Dealing with them was exhausting and I wouldn’t use them again and would not recommend to anyone. I’ve gone to another architect for my new extension & I have recently been asking them for the CAD drawings from my initial survey to save the cost of having them done again but they have just ignored my request, even though I’ve paid for this initial survey.
Cost of their unprofessional service was just under £2,000

UPDATE; They said I could have my CAD drawings but only if I took my review down. I wouldn’t do that so never got my drawings

Really recommend. I have never done any renovations before so this is a great place to start and get the project underway. There was a few bits of cost I didn't quite expect but if you are ever unsure they are always patient and polite to answer to make sure you fully understand the process.
I find the timeline documents really user friendly too.

Very professional. They listened to what we wanted and provided it. Very helpful with any questions and always replied straight away. I would definitely recommend them.

In my first home extension project, I chose to use ExtensionplansUk for their high levels of experience, turnaround time and their level of communication. They did not disappoint and the process of planning was explained at each and every stage. The design team really listened to my ideas and made some excellent suggestions for my project. Highly recommend, and my council application got approved in just 4 weeks!

The Team at Extensionplans is fabulous. They really simplified the process for us; were always available to answer questions/queries; shared their own suggestion/ideas on the drawings based on their experience which really helped ; and overall were very proactive and efficient in getting our plans approved.
