Have some Christmas cheer, this is a good company
I have ordered from Expertec a few times in the past and had no issues. I ordered a gaming pc for my boy, on Black Friday and although it took slightly longer than anticipated (as everything is this year!) it is here in time for Christmas as promised. Jo has been professional and answered any queries promptly by email. Although I do get the frustration when things arrive slightly later than expected, everyone is working hard and trying their best, especially Jo who must be at her wits end! People please be nice, some of these reviews are painful to read, have a little patience and if your order is fulfilled by Christmas, be nice and leave a positive review, this company has never let me down and are clearly under pressure this year like a lot Of is. Just be kind.

Was picked up by DPD to go back to the company to be fixed, I emailed for an update and was told it was being looked at and I would get an update tomorrow, this was on 12th Jan, I have sent further emails with no response, when I logged on to see if any update online, the order shows as cancelled which is not the case. I paid by PayPal so looked up transaction on there which shows a different email address, tried emailing this only to have it returned as undeliverable. Hoping this is just a blip but am losing confidence. Like I said in my original review, I have dealt with this company before with no issues, so have been trying to be patient and understanding, especially with everything that is going on in the world at the moment, but I am now starting to get concerned and will raise a dispute with PayPal should

I ordered a gaming PC bundle on the 3rd December and was told my order would be ready on or before the 17th. Initially the responses were quick and professional from Jo but this has since dried up. I am really panicking as this is the main present for a 9 year old who, like most of us, has had a tough year. I am in NI which makes me panic even more as delivery could take longer to here. I will happily post a positive update if there is a good outcome but I am not confident at all.

I am so sorry, due to recent events we are waiting on graphics cards arriving, I was not aware of this previously and due to bexit and covid this is stopping the supply chain within the country getting them out to us and other retailers.
Due to this I want to be honest and I really don't know if we are going to get them in time to be able to ship before Christmas as I have been told they are due in 1-2 working days,
I do understand if you want to cancel but If you did not I would make it a priority in the new year. I will also install an SSD as a gesture of goodwill
I really am so sorry I did not foresee this happening and again I cannot apologise enough for the upset that this is going to cause.

This is so disappointing. The delays they are blaming only took effect over the last few days so I find it very difficult to believe. It is totally inexcusable to have such little regard for your customers that you would even risk not being able to fulfil a Christmas present order. In my case I ordered 3 weeks in advance but I see others have ordered earlier and have been let down. To me this is a case of profit before everything else and I don't think a company like this should be supported.
I have cancelled my order and requested a refund, I would certainly hope they do this in a timely fashion or I will be taking my grievances much further.
13/01/20 - Update
I have received a full refund including postage into my account today. I want to thank Jo for her her help, she has been very helpful and professional throughout.
In hindsight, had this occurred at a different time of year it would not have been as big an issue for me or many others I'm sure. Hopefully this has been a good lesson for Expertec.
For those saying the company is a scam, I have to say I do not agree. Mistakes were made but I seriously do not think there was any malice intended.

Same problem as every one that has posted since 5th December, I ordered and have had bullcrap replies promising me delivery before Christmas, 3 days before and I cannot get anywhere, I will be taking this as far as possible and I will make sure this company isn't a reputable company anymore, I will be going to trading standards and everywhere social media wise , you have ruined so many childrens Christmas, even after a crap year you can do this to people ## reply received, you sorry are not good enough , maybe start explaining why you ignored my emails and just didn't care how many christmas's you have ruined!!!!

I had a query about which way I could mount it and after sending an e-mail, I received a friendly and informative reply from Jo within 2 hours. So well done.

Ordered a pc for my daughter and when it arrived, I was missing the moniter, mouse and powerlead. I emailed jo and she sorted everything. I received my items the next day and she even upgraded the keyboard and mouse.

I have had a very pleasant experience I have got what I ordered it works perfectly it is fantastic value and they answered every queery I had promptly.

My father ordered a gaming PC for me 21 days ago, I can extremely understand that they only have one agent which does make me sympathise with the fact customer service isn’t the best aswell with it being Christmas and with COVID but 21 days is really ridiculous especially with a 7-10 days build time they said it would be with me this week but it has not I don’t even know the condition the pc will arrive in and if it even works !!!honestly I don’t think the company is that bad but they do need to communicate that there will be delay with your order!!!

It’s here towards the end the communication was great and it arrived with everything there we couldn’t be happier with it, honestly I just think the company needs to talk to its customers more with the build and delivery time especially with Christmas and Covid

Lied about build time / impossible to contact for refund
Ordered a bundle from them expecting them to build within the advised 7-10 working days. Queried the order via email at day 9 for an update and told that it will take 7-10 days to build and expected delivery should be on or before 15th Jan. Would have even accepted a delivery a couple of days after Christmas but not 3 weeks! Not answering calls so impossible to get a refund so I can buy an alternative. Thanks for potentially ruining a child's Christmas.
Update: responded via email - have cancelled order with 3-5 days for refund. Have added an extra star purely for processing my request to cancel via email quicky.

Ordered a refurbished gaming pc bundle as a Xmas present on 25th. Despite the website and order confirmation saying 5-7 days from ordering, it has just arrived today. (19th Dec) Communication was not really great as it was only when i emailed for an update that id get a reply. Some of these replies were not accurate and it was dispatched much later than i anticipated causing me to panic and order a back up for my daughter just in case which i now have to pay to return.
Have not unboxed it yet but everything appears to be there. Hoping it all works ok- 12 month warranty offered is good- just gope they are happy to sort any arising issues.

UPDATED REVIEW: PC arrived after delayed delivery - was purchased on Black Friday and due to COVID restrictions for dispatch staff & high volumes of orders it wasn't dispatched until 2 weeks after the stated delivery time. This was communicated by Expertec but only after I requested information - I would have liked them to contacted me first to update me if stated delivery times weren't able to be met.
The PC arrived, and although stated as 'refurbished' it looked brand new. It had a small technical issue when first set up - but Expertec responded to my query promptly on the same day I raised the issue, and an engineer talked me through a simple solution. He was brilliant and very helpful.
Overall - the PC runs very well and is extremely good value for money. If there was better communication & accurate delivery times - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
3 stars due to the significant delay in delivery and only communicating when a request for information was made. If these issues were resolved - I would happily give 5 stars!

Ordered a gaming pc tower on 3rd December, conformation email stated 5-7 working days for dispatch. I was then told it would be dispatched on the 17th I have again emailed today to now be told it’s been dispatched the beginning of next week. This is not good enough a very worried mum as this is my sons main Christmas present don’t need this stress with a newborn baby

Well I was so happy to receive my order especially as I’d read other people had been told their orders couldn’t be fulfilled,
My son opened the box xmas morning and it was not what I’d ordered, for starters it’s the wrong case to what I’d chose and it has a nice dent in it and then the 500gb hard drive is only 100gb

Website states 5-7 days to build and despatch. Ordered on 30th November, emailed 10th December asking for progress, told at busy times it's 7-10 days, received email on 11th saying it would be out for despatch on 14th and I would be emailed with tracking details. I emailed again explaining I needed a definitive date as would need to sort someone being in to receive the PC, no response to that mail and no tracking. No one is answering phones either. What's going on Expertec?

UPDATED BASED ON FURTHER EXPERIENCE
I bought a new PC from Expertec due a recommendation from a friend.
However it kept rebooting for no apparent reason - sometimes after an hour or so of operation, sometimes before it even finished booting.
I was frustrated at them not answering their phone line, hence the earlier poor review. However following that they contacted me via email and the service since has been fantastic.
They arranged for pick up, fixed the issue and redelivered very swiftly and kept me in the loop the whole way.
Based on this I'd definitely use again!
