It’s about my refund

It’s about my refund, I was told I would receive my refund back in two billing cycles and all now I can’t receive my payment, I’m about to contact a lawyer. This very frustrating and dishonest.

There is absolutely NO customer…

There is absolutely NO customer service. I booked several hotels, cars, pickup service for 4 people to two countries. There were charges that were wrong and I was told that I would have to take it up with Expedia. There is NO place to take it up with them. Only constructed comments that do not address the issue. I will have to take it up with my credit card company. I will never use this service again.

They don't back their recommendations

They recommended a dirty motel that ripped me off and charged me $100 extra. Expedia said they couldn't do anything. I'm a Gold Member and I've spent thousands with them but I'm deleting my account. Virtual chat agents are useless and won't escalate even if you demand it.

Virtual Agents and Refunds

Whoever designed the response function for the Virtual agents need brain surgery and jail time.
The responses are repetitive and does not even remind you of common sense. It makes you feel like the Virtual Agent is really an idiot.

Once one finally get to a person, this person is just full of excuses that are not even by a stretch of imagination viable in the normal private industry.
To spend a week to calculate a refund is absolute nonsense, and if this is the performance of the accountant, they should be fired.
I may very well stop using Expedia since I do not have time for so much nonsense as I have experienced this time

Will never use Expedia again

Purchased trip cancellation Insurance, attempted to add a day. They charged me 103 bucks and the hotel/Hampton and Expedia refused to refund and help me add one day to my trip. I will never book with Expedia again.

Messed up and wouldn't fix it -- WEASELS!

I booked a flight and rental car on August 29, for a trip October. 9 through 13. Checked on Oct. 3, they said they had no record of my reservations. At their rep's suggestion, I promptly rebooked -- this time directly with the airline and with a different provider for the car. Shortly afterward, Expedia "found" my earlier reservations. They refused to refund the airfare, claiming that the airline viewed this as a voluntary cancellation and would only issue me a flight credit. One Expedia rep told me that I could submit a refund request to the airline and walked me through that. The airline still had the matter "in progress" more than 48 hours later, and Expedia's rep could only advise me to wait and see. I will, and in time possibly I will sue, but in any case I will never use Expedia again. WEASELS!

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Do not use this BS service.

Expedia did not tell us that we needed to have new Visa clearance before our flight, They simply took our money. When we went to check-in, we could not get on the plane. Due to Expedia not telling us about the new requirements they said," oh, we needed to contact the embassy". Never again . Lost our $

I went out of town and I didn’t have no where to stay at the time so I booked a room thru this app Expedia for the 9/10 of August the day on the 9th on the calendar it showed up as the 9th then when I paid for it it booked it for the 10/11 which I needed for the 9th then I canceled it right away cause it wasn’t for the day I arrived which was the 9th they had the nerve to tell me after I paid the protective plan I had to cancel within 24 hrs of my stay which I cancelled it in 15 min after reviewing my booking I card them and they told me I had to pay 99 dollars to get my whole refund back then it say your call is being recorded then I told him I wanted to speak to someone over him he then hung up in my face I called back another sell rep said the same thing my room which was 207 but why do I have to pay for my money to be refunded if I canceled it 15 min after. These people should be sued cause they are taking peoples hard earn money

Expedia ripped us off for $188

Expedia ripped us off for $188 , we had booked a room for 4 nights in August in South Dakota almost a year in advance. We decided we were only going to stay 3 nights, not 4 …. Within the timeframe to make changes, we called Expedia and told them to remove 1 night. When we got to the hotel, the clerk said you only have two nights and the cost for 2 nights was 398.58 ….and the extra night would be $188.93 , that made our total stay $587.51. The original booking for 4 nights was a total $549.00 for 4 nights, we ended up paying $587.51 for 3 night’s. We called Expedia and they said go ahead and pay and we will refund the last night cost . They even gave us a case number and said we would be refunded. We never heard back from them. After we got home from our trip , we called and ask where our refund was and no one knew what we were talking about. Promised to call back and never did .Expedia is definitely a scam organization. DO NOT USE EXPEDIA ! There are plenty of trip management companies that operate with honesty, NOT EXPEDIA …. DO NOT LET THEM RIP YOU OFF.

More like a scam

Expedia made a mistake with my name on the booking and then pressured me to accept their false fees because JetBlue was on the line. They insisted I pay $102 to fix the name, but JetBlue confirmed no such fee exists and fixed it without any problem. Expedia also threatened to cancel my ticket with a $150 penalty, despite me booking within the 24-hour full refund window. Their constant pressure felt like a scam, forcing me to accept their terms unfairly. This kind of behavior is unacceptable — it feels like dealing with thieves. JetBlue was professional and helpful, but Expedia lost my trust completely. Never again.

THE WORST! WOULDN'T RECCOMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!!

Normally I use booking.com & have never had issues with them. Decided to give Expedia a shot and that was a terrible mistake that almost ruined our trip. We booked a hotel that looked nothing like the pics on their site in real life. The place was uncomfortable and falling apart. We asked the hotel management if we could leave early and he said yes but we had to talk to Expedia for the refund. They said no they can't do anything on their end and kept saying how they "wished they could help". So patronizing. In the end, we spoke to management again and he gave us a refund and told us Expedia makes the relationship between customers and businesses very difficult. Like playing a game of phone tag where each person hears something different. I deleted my Expedia account and will NEVER use them again nor will I recommend to family or friends for future travel.

Customer service

Customer service - non existent. Have to navigate through a ridiculous number of questions to narrow down to why you are calling and even then it is not why I am calling. "Never" can speak to a live-agent. The chat works "sometimes" and even then you can't get a question answered. I'm done. Once we get through this trip I'm done with Expedia. Unreliable, waste of time.

Avoid this rip off merchant

Rented a car from Thrifty through Expedia. Paid 2/3 of the estimated price to Expedia. When I picked up the car, the remaining portion was 4 times what Expedia has estimated. Ask Thrifty why and they say they don't know anything about Expedia. Ask Expedia and they blame Thrifty. Avoid the aggravation by avoiding Expedia. I'll never use them again.

Frustrated and Furious

Expedia customer service is easy to contact, the problem is that they have no interest in helping you if you have a problem with a booking or a credit your are trying to use on a booking. We had a$46 dollar credit they gave us to use but we were unable to apply it to our any booking and just got the run around from customer service. One hotel in particular we tried to use our credit on they said they couldn't find the hotel in their system but I had the hotel on my phone screen under Expedia. We asked to speak with a manager and the manager told us she couldn't see the hotel on her computer screen. After about 20 min. of arguing back and forth we said we wanted to speak to her boss and suddenly she found the hotel we were looking at online.
We were told that they couldn't book the room for us if we wanted to redeem our credit, that we had to do it ourselves. Again when we asked to speak with the managers boss she magically was able to book our room and redeem our credit. The only thing you will get from this company is Aggravation. I will never use or recommend Expedia to anyone. In the future I will book hotels thru an alternate site. Consumer Beware.
