Strongly advice of using online services to get visa to Kenya

To get a visa to Kenya online can at least be done via the following 4 services:

1) eVisa Kenya accessible by evisa-kenya.com, an UK based company

2) Kenya Travel Permit Online Services Pte Ltd, a UK based company, Kenya online portal for e-visa

3) Kenya e Visa belongs to Online Travel eVisa Society Ltd with headquarter in the Barcelona area of Spain.

4) evisa.go.ke with accounts.ecitizen.go.ke copyright 2020 Republic of Kenya

The above show that it's easy to be confused how and where to make an online application for a visa to Kenya.

On June 15th, 2021 I made an online application to 3) above, to evisas-kenya, paid US $ 129, which was short and easy to fill-in and got promptly an e-mail requesting me to add some missing info, which I added immediately. And got promptly an e-mail that I had submitted all necessary information.

I was told I could expect my visa within 1 or mostly 2 days.

On June 18th, 2021 I sent an e-mail to evisas-kenya to ask for my visa. I was told I could expect a reply within 72 hours. Again on June 19th, 2021 I used the contact form and was told I could expect a reply within 72 hours.

On June 21st I sent an e-mail and also used the contact form to ask for the status of my visa.

As I had not received any reply by June 23rd, 2021 to any of my emails or contact forms, I applied for a visa to evisa.go.ke, the official Kenya portal for evisas.

I got the information from a friend in Kenya that Kenya e Visa was fake and had also been used by a friend of him in vain.

On June 25th, 2021 I got my visa from the Kenyan Government. And still no news at all from Kenya e Visa.

Same day, June 25th, I sent a request to my banks fraud dept to request a refund of my visa fee to Kenya e Visa as my visa had not been delivered as promised and all contacts to the company had been left unanswered.

Late afternoon June 26th, 2021, 1 1/2 days before my departure to Kenya on June 28th, I finally got an e-mail from Kenya e Visa asking me to send some additional info for my application to their Visa Processing Dept. And my visa would be sent to me within 1 to 3 days, too late to be used for travelling to Kenya on my reserved flights.

I informed Kenya eVisa on June 27th,that I had submitted my claim of fee refund to my bank. And have by now, July 3rd, 2021, not heard anything from them.

I can only recommend, for sure, to use the Kenyan Government site ecitizen.go.ke to get a visa to Kenya.
