Scam scam scam

Very poor exploitation of returning a paying my deposit. Because I don’t have a credit card as per policy I suppose to take an insurance. This “ allowed” them to “DEBIT” the deposit. So I did. €144 insurance for 8 rental days. In krakow airport I asked it again. And she mentioned the Same. After paying 300 euro when booking online I had to pay € 546 euro at the counter in de airport but never got deducted of my bank. So the deposit is never taken of my card but reserved what only “ suppose to be “ possible with a credit card. Meaning I feel horrible scammed and it was never necessary to take an insurance of €144. It’s just a way of taking extra money of me. When returning the car I tried ask the male staff member when I suppose to receive my deposit back as I was still from understanding at that stage I payed the deposit instead of it was reserved on my card. The man said: you will see the system is calculating it. I asks: ??? I will see? After that I mentioned the auto return report that i received. It appeared to be I did not fuel up the car full while you can clearly see on the picture it is full. He mentioned again. You will see it on your bank. System will calculate it. I mentioned again I payed a deposit and a rental fee. Can you at least tell me what the exact rental and insurance fee is so I can calculate it back? And again he said you will see system will calculate it.

Overall horrible experience.
I feel scammed with the insurance as it is no where mentioned. Send me the policy where it is mentioned.
It felt like a bonus for the staff member if I took one.

I feel scammed that it was clearly possible to RESERVE the money in my card and I got told it wasn’t and that’s why they needed to deduct the deposit of my bank.

Feel not taking seriously at all when returning the car. It was clear that the man knew what i meant, and he wasn’t going to explain anything.

Return report showed car wasn’t filled up while it was.

Avoid europcar Poznan

Avoid europcar Poznan! Really incompetent sales techniques, misleading information and shocking customer service. Month after putting a complaint still had no response.

Be extremely cautious with renting a car from Europcar Poznan

Europcar Poznan are trying to charge us £700 for a tiny stonechip in a non visible area of a windscreen that they haven’t evidenced was there before our rental.
Effectively fraudulent practices that rely on customers not wanting to challenge their extra income.
First question asked on return of vehicle was “did you purchase additional insurance”
Quite obviously they will not be replacing the entire windscreen and will simply attempt to add the charges to their profits.
Fairly terrible service and we are currently being passed from customer service to customer service.
Fundamentally malpractice as the damage was not caused by ourselves.
Would recommend to steer well clear of this company. They will be guaranteed to find issues with a vehicle on return to then levy unwarranted charges.

Rented a car online for Warsaw airport

Rented a car online for Warsaw airport. Arrived and Janusz in Warsaw at the desk of Europcar tells me that my driving licence is not suitable for the car I wanted. I said , that’s fine please cancel my booking , he said he can’t and he can’t refund me my 570 euros.
I had to go through a long process to retrieve the money successfully.

Worst car rental I have ever experienced

Europcar charged me 40 EUR for late car pick up because my flight from LA-WAW was delayed by 2 hrs. They also charged me 18.75 EUR for refueling even I returned the car with the same amount of gas. I sent them an email with photos of the fuel gauge before and after the rental and information about the flight delay. Email was ignored. I have not received any answer.

Europcar Wroclaw

Travelling to Wrocław and dont want to waste your time? Choose (Keddy) Europcar Wrocław - check in and check out was super easy, quick and simple. Minimal formalities, a very competitive prices, manned kiosk in the terminal, top condition and fully fuelled cars, pleasant staff who knew what they are doing, easy access to the car park making returning a very convenient experience. I am totally satisfied and after reading previous comments I would like to say is this bunch must have improved a lot because it was one of the better experiences ever for me, and I do hire quite a lot. I will be back again. Well done Europcar Wroclaw team!

AVOID at all costs - Charge different prices to rental agreement

I frequently fly to poland and always use discover cars for my rental booking but this was my first time using Europcar through them. When I arrived at the EUROPCAR kiosk at chopin airport, it was busy with only 1 employee looking after everyone which took a long time. When it was my turn and I provided my information, I was told the car I chose (an economy, which I always choose because I don't want a big car, as I'm coming from Ireland and I'm not comfortable driving on the other side of the road) wasn't available and I had to take a bigger car or wait a few hours until one was returned by another customer later in the day (couldn't guarantee me a time). I was told there was no extra charge for this as it was the companies fault the car I booked wasn't available.

The total price for my booking was suppose to be 101EUR. The form I signed said 150EUR and the employee at the desk said that was the price for that type of car but I wouldn't be charged anything more than I'm suppose to in my original rental agreement with Discovery. However, after I completed the rental and returned home from Poland, I'm charged the 150EUR. After contacting support numerous times I got told there is nothing they can do as the document I signed was for 150EUR and they will not be refunding me anything. I asked them to share the email address or reach out to the employee on the day to confirm this but they refused.

I was in Poland to attend a family funeral and had a 3 hour drive ahead of me, so I just wanted to get on the road, but perhaps I should have argued with the employee that I'm not signing any documents with the wrong price (lesson learned) but avoid this rental company unless you want to be scammed for money.

I returned the car in perfect condition so they couldn't charge me for damages, so chose this as a way of making a quick buck. (AVOID)

Rented car in Poznan...

Rented car in Poznan for 3 days, returned in Krakow. Charged £458.62 for apparent chips in the windscreen. Not only is that is absolutely absurd they sent me no invoice or warning of this charge, I had to find out by calling them, still have not received any details in writing, this is therefore an unauthorised payment. Luckily I bought full insurance and now have to go through the trouble of making a claim. Would give zero stars if I could, that is not how you treat customers. Windscreen chips could happen to anyone at anytime and is not necessarily the drivers fault when they occur. I'm sorry but this company is garbage and I will never use your services again.

Don't use europcar krk

Don't use europcar. Our clio was said to be scratch free but there was a scratch on the bumper.

Nobody escorts you to the car, you are not given the opportunity to inspect it, and of course they don't take pictures to compare before and after.

Very hard to locate car return and reach out to EuropCar

1) Car return at the airport is very poorly signed. It took me 10 min of googling to find the right parking.
2) Next impossible to reach out to Europcar as all of the numbers available online are redirecting to outside assistance company
3) Due to COVID-19 airport was closed and no one instructed on where to return the key (key box is inside the airport)

Overall very poor experience, zero communication and customer service. Would avoid at all cost.

Be very careful when renting a car

Be very careful when renting a car. Do yourself a favor, do NOT use Europcar Polska !
They will cheat you.

I was stuck in Krakow doing this corona virus situation, i rented a car on the 13th of march at 22:00 (ish) I drove the car to Warsawa where i returned the car at 07:00. The price was supposed to be 29 euros (around 131 zloty)

Now on the 3th of april they charged me 131 zloty and 774 zloty.

I wrote them and they claim that I damaged the car, which I didnt. I told them I had pictures before and after getting and returning the car. As smart as the are, they wanted me to give them the photos first " so they could look at the case"

This is one of the worst renting compaines.

Its been the most expensive Toyotas I have ever rented. !

DO NOT USE EUROPCAR POLSKA !

No invoice or confirmation after return.

Professional service when picking up the car, all details were actually prepared and it didn't take long to get on the road.
There was damage on the windscreen that wasn't shown on the rental agreement so I had to return to the desk to report it.

I returned car out of office hours to Krakow Balice airport branch and I have never got any invoice or confirmation that car was inspected despite my email address was shown on rental agreement.
Deposit was released after 3 days and this is the only way I could assume everything was OK.

Damage on car wasnt shown on rental…

Damage on car wasnt shown on rental contract so I went back to the desk as no one came to the car with me..
I told them there was damage all down one side, He said no problem and scribbled a bit on my contract..

Surprisingly on my return.
PROBLEM...PROBLEM...
Even with the same man sat behind the desk that said no problem 6 days earlier suddenly suffered from amnesia..
First time europcar and the last (or under inter rent name)
45 minutes wasted arguing and even though they found the damage on a previous renters agreement, I'm still expecting to be hit with a charge.
Rental car companies can be a real pain and they wonder why you get angry..

A very elegant experience

i was renting cars from various of companies before. I can only hope that the other companies at Gdansk Airport are providing costumers with similar service. Anyways: Gentleman that was at the desk was both friendly and professional. It makes hell of a difference to be approach with a smile and a warm "Good day, miss Magdalena". All the documents and keys were in an elegant cover. I also got a small map with instructions where to find the car, how to drive to leave the parking and how to drive on my way back. Makes a big difference since Gdansk airport is a bit of the city center of Gothenburg: makes no sense. Car was clean, fully tanked (which is not a given with some companies) and a smooth ride.

While returning the car there was nobody at the desk at the moment. I simply put the cover and car in the box for that. By the time i land in Sweden email was waiting for me with information that the car was checked and everything was in order. Fast and effective.

What i like the most was skipping going to the car with someone to check for scratches on car both when i pick it up and leave it. We call it trust and Im hopping no costumer will ruin it.
