Misleading ATM fees and lack of transparency
EN
I withdrew €50 from this ATM in Naples (Italy), but I was charged CHF 51.63, including CHF 5.49 in fees (around 10%).
No receipt was provided (“receipt not available” message on the screen), and the fees were not clearly disclosed before confirming the transaction.
Even more concerning, the transaction appears as processed in Lausanne (Switzerland), while the withdrawal physically took place in Naples. This creates confusion and raises serious concerns about transparency.
I selected withdrawal in EUR, so no currency conversion should have applied.
I have formally requested clarification and reimbursement, and I am evaluating further steps with the relevant consumer protection authorities.
I strongly advise others to carefully review all conditions before using such ATMs and to report any similar experiences.

A fraudulent and unreliable service network
I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with Euronet Worldwide ATMs in Switzerland. I withdrew 600 EUR, but my account was charged 626.75 CHF—far above the expected exchange rate. This is not a minor difference; it feels misleading and unfair.
There was no clear or transparent indication of such an unfavorable conversion rate at the time of withdrawal. What’s even more frustrating is that customer service has been unhelpful and has not provided any satisfactory explanation or resolution.
I strongly advise others to avoid using Euronet ATMs, as their services are misleading and fraudulent.
It is a SCAM !!!!
11% fee in my own currency in my own…
11% fee in my own currency in my own country without a notice on the screen
BEWARE. Expensive tourist trap
BEWARE . Should be criminalised . I needed some cash . Inserted my debit card . They offered an extortionate exchange rate plus an outrageous fixed fee . I chose the NO button . But was forced into the next step automatically . I did not dare rip my card out for fear of being charged nevertheless. Will NEVER AGAIN use such a tourist trap machine .
I was on holiday in tenerife 2 weeks…
I was on holiday in tenerife 2 weeks ago. I tried to withdraw eur 200. I entered my pin and the flap opened and i could see my cash. But straight a way the screen got a pop up "this machine is out of service " and flap closed before i got a chance to take it. I rang the number on the atm which they were useless. Told me they will do a reboot on the atm but i have to contact my bank to get money back. I was at the atm for 40 minutes. I seen the screen rebooting, hearing maschine cointing and then flap opening empty. And then it was ready to scam the next victim. 2 weeks later now and still dont have my money back as my bank has open duspute with them. Am expecting a huge phone bill considering i rang spanish number and ringing my bank from spain. It ruined my holiday. Sadly i cant give -5 rating
Cant cancel the transaction and you wouldnt get any information about the fee before that
I was going to withdraw money. However, the fee was big espacially compared to the amount. I canceled it. I came to another page, it was just telling me to press next,so I did (thought that I would get my card back). Well, I did get my card back but also the money and the fee. It is not possible to cancel the transaction after you have been told how much the fee is.
They force you to accept the fees
I withdrew 50€ from a Euronet ATM and at no point during the withdrawal process did the machine inform me about any fee or give me the option to accept or decline it.
After the machine dispensed the cash, the screen suddenly showed that I had been charged a 5.90€ fee. At that stage there was no possibility to cancel or reverse the transaction.
This effectively creates a situation where a fee is applied without meaningful consent, because the information is only shown after the withdrawal is completed.
This is close to being a scam deal, if not completely a scam.
Ripped off,
Ripped off. completely robbed of 11.95euros for withdrawal of 50euro no warning on the screen. These atm machines should be removed from the island of lanzarote or were a mask

Avoid using their ATM machines…
Avoid using their ATM machines everywhere. I tried to withdraw £130 and the machine gave me £70. I spoke to my bank and Euronet has told them I received the full £130 when I did not. Imagine how many other people this has happened too.
EXTRA HIGH FEES, Dont use it
Never use these ATM,S the charge extra high fees, 100 euro extra or even more!
Its a scam!
Fraudulent Company
Euronet operates fraudulent atm's all around Europe. Charging hidden fees up to hundreds of euros, just for a small withdrawal. stay away from these scam machines!
Its fraud
Its fraud. American companies is like the Indian tech support scammers. Don't give money to this company. Its seems legal to USA companies to fraud people but they should to this in EU only to their own people.
Pretty much an ATM that scams you out…
