Review for MUDr. Iva Hochmutová

Review for MUDr. Iva Hochmutová, EUC Prague 10
This was an awful experience, I highly recommend you find someone else.

I had the worst experience with MUDr. Iva Hochmutová. As a foreigner, I heard that we might be treated as we're "below" but I didn't expect it from a doctor!! This was my very first gynecologist appointment during my first pregnancy, and instead of care, I was met with disrespect.

From the very beginning, the receptionist treated my husband and me as if we were unwelcome for simply showing up (and not speaking Czech, even though I asked on the phone and it was fine). In the office, Dr. Hochmutová looked us up and down, forced my husband to leave even though I wanted him there, and kept lecturing me about "the rules in the Czech Republic." She also repeatedly told me, “you can find another doctor after this session,” making it clear that I wasn’t wanted.

She mocked me for not speaking Czech, asking sarcastically, “but you are in the Czech Republic, you know that, right?” She even laughed at me in Czech TWICE, refused to translate when I asked, and kept repeating, “here in the Czech Republic,” as if I was beneath her.

Because I couldn’t trust her, I refused any internal exam and accepted only the ultrasound. The entire appointment felt judgmental, humiliating, and demeaning, like I wasn’t worthy of basic respect because I’m a foreigner. In the end, she didn’t recommend any vitamins, didn’t suggest any tests, and offered nothing of value for my pregnancy.

This was an awful experience, I highly recommend you find someone else.

A backward healthcare system

Clinics in the last century that couldn't even learn to use e-mail force phone calls to discriminate against patients with various disabilities.
The only contacts are through the reception. Even if the reception has an email, you have to call to make an appointment or pay half a day to run and wander around the clinic to make an appointment.

Instead of uniting, I have to tear my doctor apart.

Reluctance of staff.

Claimed premium care does not exist.

After the examination, I have problems to find out the result due to the forced call and the office's inability to respond to the e-mail mentioned.
In my case, I am not entitled to a physical medical report.

Unprofessional and rude staff

Unprofessional and rude staff. I wish to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I received when I contacted the Zlin Diabetes Clinic about potential care for my father. The person who answered the phone did not introduce themselves, but I assumed they were a nurse. Unfortunately, this individual was exceedingly rude and unhelpful.
When I inquired about the clinic’s services, she abruptly asked if my father was already registered with them. I explained that he was not, as he is currently registered elsewhere, and that I was seeking to move him to private care. Instead of providing any information or guidance on how to proceed, she simply hung up the phone without further communication.
Never have I encountered such unprofessional, unfriendly, and disrespectful behaviour in a healthcare setting. This incident has severely undermined my confidence in private clinics in the Czech Republic.
It is imperative that the clinic addresses this issue by replacing the staff member in question with someone who possesses a proper understanding of customer service and patient care.
