Great company, highly recommend what they are doing and how they help people who can't afford to borrow through usual means
While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more
To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Share the Wealth
It is worth persevering with the slightly cumbersome security clearance procedure to open the door to what is, in my opinion, a great way to make wealth work in a socially beneficial way. I did hit an obstacle, but managed to resolve it by emailing Ethex, who responded effectively
Great place to discover ethical investment opportunities.
I have found Ethex efficient and helpful. Their information is clear and precise and all the small investments I have made well managed. Highly recommended.

I would have given Ethex 5* except for one highly irritating sleight-of-hand which they regularly pull hoping it wont be noticed.
The closing date for listings is almost always extended at the last minute and the published closing date or share allotement date in the prospectus is ignored so that investors who have already applied and paid for their investments are left with their money tied up for several weeks (possibly on top of months if they applied early when the offer was listed) earning no interest and with their return on investment reduced.
Ethex could insist on first allotment at the advertised closing date and a second allotment for the later closing date or pay interest on the money waiting to be invested, as reputable platforms do, but they do neither.
Ultimately self defeating because savvy investors will delay paying until it becomes clear when the closing date actually is or will cancel their investments and put the money to use elsewhere.

Got there in the end!
All eventually went very well after it was discovered by one of the advisors that we had been entering pounds and zero pence rather than just the whole number of pounds.

An ethical investment
It is great finding a platform where it is possible to invest money in ethical concerns that are both good for me and for the community I am investing in. They offer a good range of opportunities to combat the climate crisis and to tackle inequality in our society.
It is straightforward to use and they have good communication.
