I’ve just got an Estwing 20oz claw hammer from Screwfix. It’s seriously the best hammer I’ve had. Handles well and weight is balanced nicely, plus it looks great! I could have bought a China made piece of disposable tat (the stuff that all the big hardware companies sell) but guess what.. time to invest in yourselves and in the top quality manufacturers in the free world rather than the cheap poorly made kit churned out by China. Buy USA, Buy British, Buy Aussie, Kiwi and Canadian and you won’t regret it!

I stumbled onto Estwing tools while searching for a double edged axe, I could order from America and Norway but shipping would be weeks rather than days.
Estwing Tools had what I wanted in stock and free next day delivery so I ordered immediately.
I hadn’t banked on Boris suddenly putting London and the South East on effective lockdown (tier4).
I panicked and at 8.30 am rang Estwing Tools, my call was answered on the 2nd ring! I asked about my order and the effect, if any, COVID would have on my order.
The assistant checked stock online, then physically on the shelf and assured me it would leave the same day.
DPD knocked my door at 10.00 am the following morning.
Given the state the country is in, during the last week of the run up to Christmas, I can’t praise this company enough.
I’ll definitely purchase more from them.

What a rubbish excuse for a business. Ordered a hammer nearly a month ago and still hasn’t arrived. No email to say it’s been delayed.

By far the worst online retail experience I have had in nearly 20 years of shopping online, and I once I had my details stolen on a cloned website, and this “online retailer” EstwingTools.co.uk is still worse than them. When my card details were stolen at least I immediately received a refund from my card provider.
EstwingTools.co.uk are an embarrassment to the Estwing brand and Estwing urgently need to action some brand damage limitation procedures.
After my initial few emails were ignored by EstwingTools.co.uk I did some research, I found multiple recent one star reviews on trust pilot regarding their parent company ToolChimp.co.uk
Reviews detailing missing orders, ignoring emails and refunds taking weeks.
I placed an order for three items with EstwingTools.co.uk the other month, spending just over £100.
Their website stated and still states that the items were available and that the retailer was operating as normal.
The only thing I received off this “retailer” was an order confirmation, after weeks of multiple emails, a social media message and a phone call. (All of which were ignored)
I eventually recovered my payment by opening a PayPal case, even then I had to escalate the PayPal case as I received no response from EstwingTools.co.uk
PalPal found in my favour and I was eventually refunded. Don’t be fooled by their low pricing, avoid at all costs.
