As someone who works with a significant number of estates, I fully intend to incorporate this into my business. It streamlined the administration process and took the guesswork out of what needed to happen next.
Incredibly useful!
I used 2 licenses for EstateExec to work on my late sister's estate and trust. The site is very easy to understand and use. The folks there were fantastic whenever I contacted them with questions - they responded very quickly and always had a complete and competent answer.
I'm smart, but inexperienced in estates, wills and trusts. I was working with 9(!) beneficiaries which on some levels made things exceptionally complicated.
Using EstateExec to organize my tasks and (very important) DOCUMENT my actions was so valuable!!
Highly, highly recommend if you are an executor and/or trustee!
EstateExec simplifies a complicated thing…
EstateExec takes a complicated thing and makes it much simpler. I think this is a great service you’re offering the world, very helpful to our executor, and great for my peace of mind. Thank you!
Wish I had known I’d be needing this!
As the sole executor for my parents’ trust, I was faced with a huge amount of work, including providing the other heirs with a detailed accounting of the estate. What I didn’t know earlier on was that the accounting needed to be done in a certain format, and that format varied by location. After a lengthy and most unsuccessful search trying to find what that correct format was, I was lucky enough to discover EstateExac.com. It offers a free 10-day trial, is customizable by state, and is geared for the lay person rather than a specialized professional. It includes a variety of features to help you understand what is needed not only to create a thorough and acceptable accounting, but also a detailed list of tasks and timeframes of the required duties of the executor, and much more! I love that it is accessible from my phone, desktop, or iPad, and keeps the information safe because it is encrypted. Had I known initially how long and complicated it would be to settle the estate, I would have purchased it long ago to keep track of everything along the way. All the same, it’s a relief to have found this extremely helpful and cost-effective solution. Unless you plan to turn everything over to a very highly paid professional, I strongly suggest that you give the software a try - it will cost you nothing and might save a lot of money and grief!
I really wanted to give it 3 stars…
I really wanted to give it 3 stars however Ive tried other estate apps out there and honestly estateexec is leaps and bounds above the others. The problems I have with it are for one it has been very difficult to learn where and how to input assets and transactions and also to learn how the app interacts with itself. Also I don't like how in some tabs if you inputting the wrong amount essentially the only way to fix it is to delete entire transaction and create a new one. Also and this is the most frustrating thing for me. After spending an hr or more figuring out a way to organize the assets in an order I really liked, when I converted to a pdf file in order to print, the order was no longer the same. So I close the pdf and what's on my screen is exactly what I want. I go back to create pdf and it's in a different order. So insanely annoying.

Excellent for Complicated Estate…
Our mother’s estate is very complicated with 3 trusts and probate in 2 states for houses not titled correctly. What a mess! However Estateexec is making it much much easier by providing excellent guidance, ability to create detailed accounting of time, costs, assets, documents, heirs, AND they have excellent customer service. That excellent customer service started from day 1 with our 1st license! Highly recommend!
Look No Further
EstateExec is truly a comprehensive, intuitive program. There's no question why it has been voted the best estate software. The overview section and task tabs help the user orient themselves and understand the process. I regret hiring an estate attorney to help after using EstateExec (EE) for a couple of months. EE organizes everything for you. One of the most powerful tools is the online help - Al Lenore. It will answer very specific questions with a step-by-step procedure using your state's estate laws. Customer service is another strong point. They want to help and empower the user. It is my understanding that the CEO answered one of my emails. Please don't hesitate to buy this program.
EstateExec is your answer to what do I do now!
EstateExec is the answer to How to do Probate! I don't have to stress and overthink probate. EstateExec gives me one definitive place for everything from categorizing amounts paid out to who the beneficiaries are and everything in between. EstateExec teaches how to get probate done correctly, even allows for State probate laws for the particular state! When I'm done with this probate, I will set things up on EstateExec for my future.
Great tool and support
Managing all transactions related to the management of the estate has been made easy thanks to EstateExec. While it doesn't replace the need to hire professionals for key activities, it does keep you aware of the next steps. Also, the tech support service is fantastic.
EstateExec is outstanding in every way…
EstateExec is outstanding in every way possible. I didn't know where to begin as an estate executor, and I also had a trust to execute as well as a will. EstateExec guided me through each step with a detailed description of tasks, excellent help desk support, timelines, resources, and suggestions for additional free tools or support. I highly recommend this product.
EstateExec is phenomenal!!
I have been the executor of my late father and Stepmother's estate for a year. The attorney that was supposedly helping me because he was my Dad's friend bailed on me. I have been walking around blindly trying to figure out everything I'm supposed to do as an executor. I did search online and found EstateExec. The online platform is so simple to use! It walks you through tasks that you need to do. I have discovered so many that I never knew anything about. Without the guidance and ease of use of this platform I would still be frantically trying to figure out what to do. For anyone who is an executor, this tool is absolutely essential and well worth the investment! By the way, the support team is phenomenal. They answer questions fast and are more than happy to help. I am very grateful I found EstateExec.
Wish I had found EstateExec earlier
Wish I had found EstateExec earlier. Wonderful software.
A Great Tool! Thorough and Easy!
The EstateExec software is easy to use and covers all the possible tasks thoroughly. It made the settlement of my dad’s trust much easier. I am now using it for my own trust.
Wonderful and helpful site
I found Estate Exec about half way through the process of dealing with my mom's estate, after I had hired a lawyer to do the probate on my behalf. I wish I had found the site earlier, as it is so easy to use and so informative, I know I could had done the probate forms myself using their help and felt completely confident that everything was done correctly. Estate Exec is wonderful! It is so easy to use, has great tutorials as you work through the estate process plus they have the option to get extra advice if you need it. Wonderful site. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the executor role that needs to work through an estate.
For those dealing with a parent's death for the first time
My 93-year-old mother died in early October. She'd been in hospice since April, so it was not a surprise. My wife had bought a copy of the "Executor's Guide for Dummies," which I thought had prepared me.
Then I realized I had a LOT to keep track of. Death Certificates, Probate, House sale, car sale, stuff sale, cancelling accounts, setting up estate bank account, etc., and I realized I needed help. My wife suggested I look for a ready-made solution rather than trying to do it in Excel, which is where I started.
I asked Claude to dig into it, and Claude recommended EstateExec running in parallel with Quicken Simplifi, in addition to some other secondary options.
I took Claude's advice, and I'm happy I did!
EstateExec acts like an experienced professional, sitting at your side and asking you the right questions at the right time.
In addition, it provides a simple framework for tracking the accounts, assets, and liabilities you, as executor, need to resolve.
It also keeps track of distributions that you make to beneficiaries of the estate. A feature I need is the ability to share the system with other family members in a "view only" mode, so rather than speculate about what is happening, they can see it. This may not be ideal for all situations, but for me, it is perfect.
You may wonder why I'm also using Quicken Simlipifi. I'm tracking only the results of actions in EstateExec - and not all the transfers between accounts. EstateExec will provide a high-level overview of what is going on and is safely shared. Giving Quicken online access to a beneficiary means they can screw things up. That said, if someone has a question that requires a detailed answer, I have that information in Quicken and can dig it up.
Final point, I haven't tested this feature yet, because I'm in the middle of resolving my mother's estate. Still, EstateExec says it will produce reports that the court may require, on a state-by-state basis. When you create the account, you identify the state where the decedent died, and where the executor is. Based on other reviews, EstateExec will generate the reports needed.
Bottom line, you may not be used to paying for software, but if you are tackling executor duties for the first time, I highly recommend EstateExec.
I'm sleeping better, I hope you will too.
EstateExec--Great for helping to manage…
I got stuck serving as the successor trustee for my father's estate. Even though I am a lawyer and hired an estate lawyer, it was clear I needed assistance with managing the massive amounts of data involved in managing an estate. EstateExec has been invaluable. I can keep track of expenses, assets, heirs, my time and all sorts of other matters that are critical. It has been essential in keeping me sane through this process. I highly recommend it.
ESTATEEXEC EVERY TIME !!!!
I have been using the ESTATEEXEC software for more than a year on several estates. I have found it to be Easy to use, Easy to fix when I make errors, Easy to navigate and most of all when I CANNOT figure it out ... Easy to get help from SUPPORT !!!!!!
My clients and the COURTS are always happy with the reports ... BOTH the standard ones as well as ANY report you can think of because you can export all of the info !!
Exceptional Support and a Powerful Tool for Trust Management
I originally discovered EstateExec while searching for a program to help organize my personal trust. I wanted something that would make it easier for my trustee to locate everything in one place and manage it efficiently when the time came. The program looked promising—comprehensive, detailed, and full of helpful guidance. I signed up for the free trial but got busy and didn’t prioritize it.
Later, when I became the trustee of another trust, I needed a way to manage tasks, track time and money, organize assets, and attach documents. EstateExec was the top recommendation, so I purchased a license for that trust.
As I began entering information, I had questions about handling payments and money entries. That’s when Matt, a representative from EstateExec, reached out by email to check on my progress. I replied with my concerns, and he immediately offered to walk me through the process. He gave me a full hour of his time, patiently guiding me step by step. He followed up with a detailed email including visuals of everything we discussed. He even looped in EstateExec support, who also provided additional help.
Thanks to their support, I now have a clear understanding of how the program works. I’ve been able to input information with ease and appreciate several features that make trust administration so much easier:
- The ability to track tasks, time, and expenses in one place
- Attaching receipts and documents directly to entries for easy reference
- Generating multiple types of reports that are useful for court filings and attorney reviews
- A clean, intuitive interface that helps me follow the money trail and stay organized
- Built-in guidance and support staff that are easy to reach with explanations that clarify each step of the process
EstateExec has made trust management straightforward and audit-ready. I’m so impressed that I’ll be purchasing a license for my personal trust as well. I’m grateful for the kindness and professionalism of the EstateExec team. Their support was above and beyond, and the software itself is excellent. Highly recommend.
EsteExec is valuable for ALL estates and trusts
I researched and found EsteExec to document a very contentious estate and trust. The program has been a lifesaver for documenting the estate for probate and then combining it into the trust. The learning curve was a little high in the beginning but the customer support has been above and beyond to answer all of my questions. The program is well worth the investment.

I'll give credit first to EstateSales.net, their reference was how I learned about EstateExec!
They say that most people are executors only once in a lifetime. It can certainly be a daunting chore, unless you have some expert guidance. EstateExec gives you that guidance and more! It is very comprehensive in asking estate questions on items that you may need. It really does "walk you through it step by step", the user interface is simple and intuitive, and the reports are awesome! Everything the probate judge (and beneficiary's ) should want!
