they lack the know how to let customers…

they lack the know how to let customers know if their orders are out for delivery - they updated their website and yet still cannot check on orders - Money well spent I would say... not
contacting customer service is a joke - they reply that your request has been check and close - no reply has ever been received as a positive

SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM

I have never had anything to do with this company but they are SPAMMING me incessantly and there is no obvious way to stop them as their emails DO NOT contain the appropriate link.

I have had to respond by spamming them back several times a day to try and make them stop 😡😡

No wonder this company has only 1.6…

No wonder this company has only 1.6 starts out of 5.
Order placed a few weeks ago & website showed plenty of stock. I chased the order up & received a new acknowledgement saying the items will be despatached the same day. Now a week later, the items have not arrived & I'm being completely ignored by customer service! To add insult to injury, the item is still showing plenty in stock.

Absolutely shambles of a company.

I have had extremely bad experiences…

I have had extremely bad experiences with this shop. Here is my detailed report:

Unreasonably long delivery time: I placed an order and the delivery took considerably longer than stated. Due to the excessive delay, I cancelled the purchase contract in good time. Unfortunately, this cancellation was not accepted by the seller, which was already very annoying.

Irresponsible customer service: After I cancelled the purchase contract, the seller did not take responsibility for the package that was supposedly delivered. The supplier claimed that the parcel had been delivered, but without any proof. Despite my requests, I was not provided with a signature or any other proof of delivery.

Lack of willingness to find a solution: Customer service was not willing to help me clarify the problem. Instead, I was left with the false information that the parcel had been delivered, even though I never received it.

I strongly advise against ordering from this shop. The combination of long delivery times, lack of accountability and poor customer service makes the shopping experience extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory.

Their returns policy is a lie!

Their returns policy is a lie!! They just ignore your requests to return for a refund - don't purchase from!!!!

Crap delivery times.

Ordered components on the website which are showing plenty of stock. There’s a notice on the checkout stating 3-15 days delivery. Contacted after 2 weeks and they aren’t even dispatched! Can’t give any clear dispatch details despite confirming they are in stock!

Won’t use again the usual company I deal with for components offer next day delivery as standard and are far easier to deal with.

I placed an order for some hinges

I placed an order for some hinges. I received an order confirmation note immediately stating the hinges would be despatched the following day on a 3 to 15 day service! What courier works on a 3 to 15 day delivery schedule. The storage of items would be more costly than their delivery. Anyway I phoned after 15 days to be told that the item wasn't in stock - there was nothing to suggest this on their website when I ordered. How were they going to despatch an item that wasn't in stock the next day. They didn't let me know at any point that the item was out of stock. When I said this wasn't a reasonable way to behave they told me we've been told this before(!) but had no intention of changing the way they do business! Truly one of the worst online companies I have dealt with.

If there was a no star option they would have it !

If there was a no star option, that is what I would give.
Totally agree with all the negative comments below about this company. Truly the worst and most frustrating company service, I have experienced in nearly 50 years as an adult.
No product or application knowledge - no responsibility/action taken by any management when things go wrong. Cannot even give a delivery date, two months after receipt of order.
Nobody is in the slightest bit interested if you explain how the problems you experience will effect how much business you give them and how it can be rectified.
Do yourself a favour - steer well clear of this company !!

Essentra make it very difficult

Sounds simple - you purchase a hinge form their catalogue but essentra make it very complicated.
When they sent an incorrect hinge they offered no explanation or offer to replace but offered a restocking fee of 50% when they sent the wrong product.
When their error has been highlighted it is met with silence which is very frustrating when its holding up a delivery.
The staff clearly have very little knolege of their product

Truly terrible customer service

Price increases of over 30% without notice on stock products. Changes to the way orders are handled without notice. No flexibility when these issues are queried. Terrible customer service. Rude and combative to their customers. Little to no product knowledge depending on the parts.
This supplier truly believes you are lucky to be able to purchase products from them and they do not value your business. Avoid at all costs.

Misleading website

Apparently stating that a product has a standard pack of 20 doesn't mean you get 20 if your order 1, no you get 1. So for a very small piece of plastic I was charged £10.

The website is misleading and the prices are extortionate.

I will be returning the items and as I hold this is caused by your misleading website I expect a full refund, try deducting a re-stocking fee and I will lodge a chargeback against you.

Update:

Thank you for the reply but I have no intention of ever going anywhere near your company again.

This company are appalling!!

This company are appalling!!
They advertise next day delivery but after 8 days my order has not been delivered.
I placed my first order with this company on the 6th Dec and it is now the 14th Dec and my items that should have been shipped for delivery by 5.30pm the next day still have not arrived.
I rang the sales department, who clearly have never heard of customer service, and was given nothing but pathetic excuses including that the delivery address is in a remote area so they need extra time to get the order to me. The fact is that I am not in a remote area and just 7 miles from a major motorway.

When I rang their sales office this morning to find out what was happening my call was taken by an employee who did not care that my order had not arrived, her tone of voice was demeaning and her general attitude stunk. I was told that my order was with UPS and delivery had nothing to do with Essentra. I asked for the UPS delivery of my order to be cancelled and a new shipment to be dispatched with a different courier. The call taker refused to do this despite the companies terms and conditions clearly stating that this can be done.
I was then told by her that she would ring me back within a few minutes with an update of where my order was and when it would be delivered. This never happened so I had to ring back a second time and spoke to another call taker.

I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told "No mangers are available at all" apparently because everyone in this large company apart from the call takers was in a meeting and not one person in a supervisors role of any sort was available in their company at all for at least two or three hours.

I asked why I had not received any notification that my order had been processed or shipped and was told "We do not update customers with this information"

I was then told that "All website orders are shipped with a 5 day delivery window". I pointed out that on the invoice and on the website it clearly states "Next Day Delivery by 5.30pm", only to be told that I was wrong and it is 5 days. I have it in writing that it is next day delivery!!!

I asked why I was not given any tracking information for my order, the reply "We don't update customers"

I then asked to cancel my order and was told "I cannot cancel your order"!!!! After pointing out the law I was told that Essentra would have to contact UPS first and try and get the order returned before I got any sort of refund! On challenging this I was then told my order would need to be passed to a supervisor (remember I have already been told there are none!) and they would decide if my order can be cancelled.
I pointed out the law again and was then told that I could cancel my order but it would have to go via a supervisor and then via accounts before a decision could be made to if I get my money refunded.
I have asked for a supervisor to call me as soon as one is free but I very much doubt this will ever happen. I also doubt that I will see any of my money back this year, if at all.

In short, a company who do not provide the products or service they claim to, no regard for their own terms and conditions or the law, a disgusting attitude towards customers and no customer service at all.
