Erisin ES3078A android car radio/dvd/dab+

Bought my Erisin ES3078A android car head unit in January this year which has stopped working - ebay seller won't even reply to my emails and managers on company website just keep asking for proof of purchase which I have given twice now. Manual that came with it is not specific to the unit and system recovery just will not work. Item supposedly has 12 months warranty but judging by other peoples experience I doubt it will ever get replaced or fixed.

I should have taken other advice but …

I should have taken other advice but you never expect it to happen to you.

Bought my Erisin car headunit (they have a UK ebay storefront). I'd checked other manufacturers car stereos for several months and the unit I bought seemed the best option. (with good reviews) at the time. November 2016 it arrived, looking good and well packaged. I installed it after Christmas.

It looked good and worked for around 2 weeks when suddenly the screen reversed (left became right and vice versa) with all the wording reversed and unreadable.

I contacted the Erisin (all via Ebay) who advised to give them my personal email address and they'd get back to me after they consulted their technicians.

Erisin contacted me in February to advise there maybe a problem with the motherboard along with instructions on how to open and re-solder components - this didn't fix the problem. Infact made it worse, the screen was now upside down and reversed.

After sometime (April) Erisin advised that the LCD maybe at fault and that I should replace it. I had to pay an additional amount for carriage of the new LCD screen and Erisin provided instructions. The screen didn't match and after contacting Erisin again they sent further instructions and asked me to get an engineer to replace the screen - more money.

I actually used 2 technical engineers who advised that the replacement screen had additional connections not present on the main car headunit which I emailed photos to Erisin - so no joy with repairing.

Erisin sent further instructions on repairing even after I had emailed photos of the problem.

Finally in June I requested a repair/ replacement or refund. I was stonewalled with until I advised I would approach Ebay / Paypal for a resolution at which point Erisin advised me of a return address and a return courier to use to their UK warehouse.

I used Parcelforce tracking and photographed the car headunit all packaged, packed up and labelled. I paid for the signed guaranteed
delivery and emailed Erisin with the photos of the parcel as well as advising them of the tracking number.

The parcel arrived and was signed for by Erisin at which point things changed into THE WORST Customer service i thought possible (and I work in customer service).

It started this month with Erisin offering me a new updated unit for a discounted price. I initially offered to pay only for carriage of this new unit. Erisin then advised that my unit would take them over 6 months to repair and that it was in my best interests to buy the new unit. Ok, I said send me the new unit as a replacement. No, I would need to buy it as the original would take over 6 months to repair. I advised them that with the original cost of the unit as well as the replacement screen not to mention having to find and pay for a technical engineer to attempt their repairs the new unit was covered. No was the reply, I would need to find £130 for a replacement from Erisin for a faulty unit that had already been sent back.

I gave up and asked for a full refund. Erisin then asked where the unit was since they couldn't track it. i replied with copies and attachments from Parcelforce including the time, date, name and signature of the person who signed for the unit ( I could've included their response when the unit arrived at their warehouse).

To date they have only offered £80 as a refund because it was purchased over 6 months ago - I did point out to Erisin earlier that I wanted a replacement/ repair / refund sometime ago but they had "fixes" for the unit which delayed matters. i can't imagine LG, Samsung, Lenovo
or Huawei telling their customers to dismantle new faulty goods to replace parts or solder components.

I may yet update this review with a final outcome, but for now i'll say you have been warned I just wish I had listened.

Erisin products and caused $1000

In may16th 2016 I bought es6903 & es2246 from Erisin.
6903 is made specially for Toyota cars but I couldn't install it on my car, it didn't work and caused damage to my car wiring.
I bought that unit for $123 and then I paid dealer to fix the car for $400.
2246 is made for BMW 325i, I could install it successfully but it stopped working after couple of weeks. it didn't load the OS any more. so I paid $325 for nothing!
I sent a request to seller to fix the problem and after couple of months playing they accepted that I return the units.
I spent $200 to send the package from USA to china by post service. My package was in the customs for 8 months and I sent so many emails to seller to pick up the package from customs but they never did it.
finally I contact to china customs to request them for sending the package to seller address and I will pay for all costs but the customs officer told me that, seller is not interested to receive this package!!!
I had been forced to contact to US post service to do something about that package and they told me the only way we have is the return the package to my address.
And it's 2 months the units have been returned and I have sent too many emails to ERISIN customer support department but they have not answered my emails so far. Even one of 'em.
They caused me over than $1000 by their trashes and they don't have any responsibility on their sold products and there is no support on customers who buying the erisin products.
Who's gonna answer me and payback the money they caused me?

I purchased around 20 pieces and half of them faulty so far, no support from company, the technician apparently is dum!
Screen goes black when reversing on universal units.
Vw units swc not working
Toyota units same thing.
Would not recomend this conpany,
They also dont want to refund and want me to pay return postage to China, after I had to remove all the units from my customers cars and replace them for other brand, Erisin should pay me for all the extra work I had to do beacuse of their low quality rubish products.

Stay away!

Stay away!
Products are junk.
Doesn't work as supposed and stated.
The included instructions was for a different model.
Company creeping away from problems. Just dragging time.

Bought a car stereo.
It didn't work.
Had the installation checked - installation was fine.
It had intermittent shutdowns, couldn't store FM presets, couldn't
play MP3-files, couldn't skip tracks, search tracks, showed no track info or track list etc.etc.etc.
Navigation voice was so low it could hardly be heard even at max volume.
Company gave me link to new software. - link didn't work.
Company gave me new link - download took more than 4 hours. software didn't solve the problem.
Company gave me link to new software (again), - download took almost 5 hours plus one hour of unpacking. Software wasn't recognized by radio...
Company stalling again and again, dragging time.
I gave up after two months.
Company offered to pay return postage.
When it came to returning the radio, seller wouldn't pay for return postage anyways, claiming that the radio was now used for two months
and they wouldn't be able to resell it - calling it worthless.
Well, I have had it for two months - but was it used? - Not really.
I spent the two months working with the Company to try and make it work.
All to no avail.

You will be disappointed and waste money and time.
Don't buy Erisin!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

I bought an Android 4.4 Car DVD GPS Autoradio and after a while it begun shutting down randomly, and I couldn't turn it back on. I contacted the seller, who asked me to wait for them to send me a firmware update file. They sent me the file, I followed the instructions, updated the device, but the problem was still there. I asked for their help again, and they admitted that it's because of the motherboard. They said there's nothing else to be done, except for me to buy another device from them. In conclusion, I was left with wasted money - about EUR 380 - and a broken device. My advice is to definitely avoid them.

Refund

Took 4 days to get 1 refund from company, and it even was't sent product. So they took 4 days to push a button "cancel order, return money". Constantly asking to double confirm and think if I would still need the unit.

I cancelled because whole internet is having bad experiences with the product. Ordered pioneer unit instead, just to be sure about the most important - Sound Quality. Friend had erisin unit, the sound quality is no better than on android phone.

AVOID! Terrible quality, insulting warranty solutions

Bought on Ebay Australia for $360 radio BT 4698 AH for my Golf V. Good features, was happy for two weeks. Than all hardware buttons stopped working. Tried to organise repair, replacement or partial refund and seller (erisintech) was winding me up for weeks. First they wanted to send me spare board to change myself; when I accepted, they said board is too expensive they'll send me electronic parts to solder on myself. I rejected and they started asking for quotes to send back, negotiating with me anything from DHL and Post office to 'bring it back to our friend in Sydney'. I asked for $100 refund to keep the faulty unit, that was too expensive as well. When I realised they're just delaying for feedback time to lapse, I left them negative feedback and now they're emailing me daily with more BS, like free rear view camera offer.

Top Service

Received excellent service after my Android Mediacenter for my Ford broke down after 3 months of operation. (Black Screen)
I contacted customer service via Ebay and was immediately helped to do some fault search and eventually return my unit for inspection at their German location. A brand new unit was shipped to me a few days later and I am now planning to install it later today.
I had to return the broken unit on my own expense and that is why the fifth star is missing. But in general very good service and very nice product, when it works.
New unit is working just fine by the way.

Erisin - Seller of car Radios and accessories.

Product: Advanced, after additional adjustment as Antenna booster and roof installed antennas comparable with expensive brands , in some combination far over. Internet, Digital TV, DAB Radio, Car DVR camera.
Supply without problem, with their stock available in UK, delivery of the main unit taken few days.
Have had little issue with return but was resolved to my full satisfaction.

One of the worst companies ever.

Please, for your own sanity just avoid them at all cost! you'll waste you cash buying from this crowd. the only enjoyment and happiness I got was when I pulled the stereo out of the car and beat it around the place with a baseball bat until it I broke it into tiny pieces.

Truly Disappointed

Wow! What a disappointment. I purchase a ES4509S through Ebay for $400. I was told from Erisin that since I had a 2003 Mercedes S430 I would need to purchase the BS001 for an additional $110.. When both items arrived, I began the installation, and notice that they do not supply instructions. At first it didn't bother me since I do have some car audio experience. Well, once I removed everything, I noticed that the BS001 comes with two RCA out jacks, and hot and ground wire. Hence, the problem begins. No where does it say where these items are connected. Then I see a place for optic wires, but the plug is incorrect. When I contact Ersisin, they informed me that I have to take the car stereo to a car audio place to have them install it, as they do not provide instructions. After several weeks of frustration, I took the radio to several audio installers and they all said the same thing. The system will not run with the factory audio. In other words they will have to rewire the whole car. Currently the $500 radio system is costing more than a grand, and still not installed. I would recommend NO ONE waste their time with this system or company. Pay the price for a quality system. It may cost more in the beginning, but you will save in the long run. What a waste of time and money. Putting on ebay for someone else to deal with.

Erisin a3090 a3090aen 3090aen

After extensive reseach ,I also considered a couple of options.
I have a supra mk4 1993. It's double din sits quite low, so opted for a single din with fold out display. So i used the upper part of the space..
Also considered the dvb and TV for posible future uses.
Also there is a reverse camera input with reverse sensor contact as well as the expected dvr with the plug and play USB camera.
I tried a couple of USB cameras and the unit crashed or the app crashed, thought it was a pile of cap,  however I read that it has to be the camera supplied by Erisin. After purchase, the camera has been 100% . Dvr loop, 3 ,5 and 10 mins with option to use specific memory, adjustable up to 500mb.
Not tried the reverse camera as yet.
The Bluetooth works well, I have connected the android phone via Bluetooth for music and the torque unit. They work as expected.
However I did find that on occasions, the phone would knock off when I tired to activate the obd2 Bluetooth adaptor. ( got a converter adaptor on ebay £14)
I got around this by connecting the phone first.
I've not yet tried to connect 3 or more devices as yet.

The 4 really annoying thing are,
1. When on a Bluetooth call, you cannot access the android unit. It seems to lock on to the call screen.

2. Fast processor,  my butt.  More like missing a couple of cores. Slower than my galaxy s5. But fast enough for the pleasures it brings.

3. The Google voice app and other voice apps say error when trying to use. "Mic not working", (something like that).
The mic works normal on the phone and the voice memo apps.
The same happened on another new unit.

4. It seems like there is a limited memory for apps. Can't seem to change where they are stored.
I got about 6 apps totaling around 600mb. And it ran out of storage.

Other things like no AM Radio.
The screen only folds up to 90° angle exactly, so if it's low down on the dash, it may be an issue.
No mic on the dvr they provide,  or the app doesn't support it.
The Satnav could do with having the speed cameras info. But It didn't,  it does have the option to warn for it and others, in the settings though.

The WiFi works well if very close to the antenna otherwise seems to go weak very fast when creating a small distance.
I tested it with a new extended wifi antenna, and actually got a slower speed, but that could be a faulty lead!

I actually was able to test 2 units as I wanted to make sure that my initial unit was working as it should.
And it was. So I returned the second unit after extensive comparisons on data speed and app response times etc.

Despite the problems, I am sure I made the correct decision.
Amazing piece of kit considering I'm updating an old double din of 10 year old with satnav etc.

I use it via a "hotspot" , from my phone. Works really well.

Memory locations and availability work well.

Sound is great.
Ended up costing me £215 after I complained about the mic thing.

I'm sure that another app is blocking the mic from working on the Google thing and other voice apps.

Any or update would be really appreciated to help with my issues above.

I hope I have been of some help.

Thanks

Absolutely scrap!

If you bought your item from someone else and not directly from them, you wont get any assistance, not even when a single smallest part of that item was broken, you can't purchase/order a spare from them. The only solution is to buy the whole unit from them, which, as i have read the reviews written here for them, almost all are negative.
ERISIN PRODUCTS AND THEIR COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED. OTHERWISE, YOU'RE WASTING YOUR MONEY.
