I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the extremely disappointing and humiliating experience I had during my recent Amarnath Yatra booked through Epic Yatra.

I had booked your Amarnath helicopter package for ₹41,000. After the helicopter service was cancelled, my booking was converted into a 3-night package for ₹35,000, which I accepted in good faith.

However, I was shocked to find that the hotels mentioned in my original itinerary, including the hotel in Sonmarg, were changed at the last moment without any prior information or my consent. When I questioned this, I was simply told that the hotels had been "upgraded."

Before the trip, your sales representative Ms. Pratibha (Mobile: 92178 99008) assured me that my registration would be arranged because helicopter passengers initially did not require separate registration. However, after reaching Kashmir, your driver informed me that ₹1,000 would be required for the registration of two people. As I thought it is part of package and will be adjusted as the driver also use the same wording that our people are there who will do the registration.

When I contacted Ms. Pratibha to seek clarification regarding both the hotel change and the registration charges, she connected me to Mr. Rakesh or Rajesh (Mobile: 8130737673).

Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, Mr. Rakesh insulted me by saying, "Aukaat teri 2-star ki nahi hai, 3-star ki baat karta hai." He then started abusing me over the phone using mother and sister-related expletives, and threatened me by saying, "Ruk, tujhe hotel se bahar nikalwata hoon." I never expected such abusive, threatening and disrespectful behaviour from a representative of a travel company.

To my shock, the very next day I received a call from the hotel asking me to vacate my room. This made me genuinely believe that the threat made by Mr. Rakesh had been acted upon. When I contacted Ms. Pratibha again, she informed me that she only handled sales and that hotel and transport matters were handled by Mr. Rakesh, leaving me without any support.

I booked this package to undertake a sacred pilgrimage with peace of mind. Instead, I was subjected to humiliation, abusive language, threats, unnecessary stress and complete lack of customer support.

I request Epic Yatra Management to:

Conduct an immediate investigation into the conduct of Mr. Rakesh and the handling of my booking.
Explain why the hotels mentioned in my itinerary were changed without prior consent.
Clarify why I was asked to pay registration charges despite the assurances given before the trip.
Explain why I was asked by the hotel to vacate my room immediately after Mr. Rakesh threatened to have me removed.
Take strict disciplinary action against the concerned employee for his abusive and threatening behaviour.
Provide me with a written response on the action taken.
I have the booking confirmation, original itinerary, revised itinerary and WhatsApp conversations, which I am prepared to share if required.

If this is the standard of behaviour that Epic Yatra tolerates from its employees, it will seriously damage the company's reputation and customer trust. No organisation can achieve long-term success if customers are treated with abuse, insults, and threats instead of respect and professionalism

I sincerely hope Epic Yatra will investigate this matter seriously and ensure that no other customer has to endure such an experience.

When a company's leadership communicates in a manner that appears abusive or threatening, it can undermine confidence in the organization's commitment to ethical business practices. Based on my personal experience, I encourage prospective customers to carefully evaluate their options before choosing to engage with this platform.

We recently completed Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham with Epic Yatra and their hospitality truly exceeded our expectations and the accommodation, food and darshan timings were absolutely perfect. Thank you Epic Yatra.

I am writing this review to share my recently concluded chardham yatra tour. We were group of 25 people travelled together for holy chardham yatra tour in Uttarakhand. Epic yatra is fraud company, takes money in advance to provide poor quality hotels all along char dham yatra. Owner Rakesh is complete fraud and arrogant guy

It was a very bad experience.. Epic Travel is a fraud agency.. We would not recommend anyone to travel through them.. Rather we will file a police complaint soon.. he ( Rakesh owner) always take money in advance and after that started black mailing by staying in poorest hotels. Kedarnath was in the upper mountains where the temperature was around -4 degrees, forcing us to stay in camp tents without any facility.. while we were charged proper hotel money. It was by God's grace that we got a hotel room by paying extra money. In such a situation, where there was a shortage of oxygen, any untoward incident could have happened. Apart from this, we also spent the whole day in getting the Green Card and Traveller's Permit. ...due to which our entire trip was ruined for one day. Very unprofessional behaviour..its not hard to talk about..its owner is Rakesh and he is a complete fraud..Please avoid fraudulent travel agents like epic yatr just to save a little money.
