⭐ 1 star – Misleading £1 offer, unauthorized £49.99 charge, no real subscription to cancel
I strongly advise people to stay away from EpicVIN.
I purchased what was advertised on Google as a £1 one-time vehicle history report. At no point did I clearly or knowingly agree to any subscription.
Three days later, I was suddenly charged £49.99, with no prior notification, reminder, or warning.
What makes this even more concerning:
There is no active subscription visible in my EpicVIN account
There is no option to cancel anything
The charge does not appear in Apple purchase history, meaning this is not a proper Apple subscription
Despite this, money was taken anyway.
After being charged, I checked Trustpilot and discovered many other users reporting the exact same pattern: £1 offer → unexpected £49.99 charge → scripted replies blaming “terms and conditions”.
This does not feel like a misunderstanding. It feels like a deliberately misleading setup designed to charge people without a clear, user-controlled subscription mechanism.
I am now disputing the charge through my bank.
If you are looking for a vehicle history report, use a reputable provider. What looks like a cheap £1 check here can quickly turn into an unwanted and difficult-to-stop charge.

Buy a report.
