Never known any utility company as bad…

Never known any utility company as bad as E.ON no compassion, my bills make no sense, I pay a lot per month and use hardly any gas or electricity yet they tell me I’m in debt, pushing me to pay up immediately or they are going to change my direct debit and up it by £50 more!! Per month. Then they want me to sign up to Paylink and give them access to my bank account? Who do they think they are? They make up bills I think! No customer service, they actually do not care, I’m astounded by the reviews I’m reading on here, they really are lowest of the low, do not sign up to them there are better deals and better utility companies I shall be leaving as soon as I can clear what I supposedly owe, seriously need investigating into how they handle situations, no possible way I’ve used the amount of electricity they say I have but they have ignored my request to come and check my meter or read my meter I was told they don’t have anyone in my area to do this, laugh me a big company has no engineers? They hound you for smart meters though! Still do even though the engineer called last year and said he couldn’t fit one in my home. Just avoid, cold uncaring useless and can’t be bothered to phone you hide behind WhatsApp, seriously what kind of customer service is that? It’s lazy, awful dreadful customer service AVOID!!

Dreadful

I was going to use EON as they were already the supplier for the property I had just bought. However when I emailed to get setup they were asking for things like deed of sale which isn’t necessary and were misreading my emails.

In the end I’ve gone with Octopus, took me a minute to setup.

Once I’d made the switch to Octopus, Eon emailed me saying the property is now with Octopus. I replied saying yes I know, I did it myself??

Idiots.

Avoid at all costs!

Worst energy company to deal with. Illegally broke into my home to fit a meter which now charges insane amounts compared to other energy providers. Cuts you off and still charges you if you run low on credit. Takes hours to get hold of them to try to reconnect the service. The mobile app was designed by people who don't understand how to design apps. Avoid at all costs!

Id give them less if i could

Id give them less if i could! We moved last year to house alr3ady on eon so thought give them a go . Big mistake. Condtantly putting bills up and direct debit amounts, asking for lump sums in the hundreds of pounds or we will put your DD amount up to amounts no one csn pay. Begining of september we paid 300 pound to have our payments as low as possoble , 2 months later they come vack sayint pay 400 or will put your bill up dd 200 per month . So we swapped providers despite being in contract. Knew we get slammed with penality. Today they ring demanding payment .. so ive put a complaint in. Willing to make monthly payments to clear not got money to throw around. She then came back to me saying we cant set up payment plan due awaitjng final reading the bill may go up!!! I reciev3d a bill this morning so i can see the amount and also i took readings on the morning we swapped over to new provider . Gave her them and she then goes on to say if im not happy to pay the amount they want i can go in to a debt managment plan .... **** off i dont think so. Then offered 15 pound off bill if i close complaint lol i dont think so .. ridiculous compantly never known anyone. Like it . Stay away!!!!

Vile company they do not care if you…

Vile company they do not care if you have financial struggles they will cut your energy supply off without a second thought. Furthermore the prices increase constantly making it evermore difficult to pay off any debts you may already have.

An absolute disgrace and will never ever return to them. I ve since joined ovo and wish i had done it sooner. Eon are a cowboy outfit with a great window display. Dont be decieved. They are hidden con people who dont support people and infact take advantage of there terms given.

HIYA, Eon next. beware.

HIYA, i have been with Eon next for quite a few years
they keep telling me i an the only one who is having
trouble signing in . i paid for a computer person
to come to my home and after 1 hr 30 min was
told google, duck duck, edge, fire fox, are all working
fine, the computer man then took me to web sites
full of people with the same prob,s, also told i am
stuck with them till end of june 26,

Such a horrible horrible system they have. Eon is the heating provider for the apartment we just moved into. They keep charging us ridiculous amounts of money for heating WE DONT USE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. you will REGRET using them

I report the landlord stealing gas bec he was previously catch by cadent he dont have meter in hes restaurant he use gas from my flat.I have no knowledge landlord put the gas on my name in 2022 all bill they keep in restaurant I provide all evidence called police cadent eon .Waiting 7 months eon came 2 times Restaurant quickly shut and don't let them in.however on Instagram clearly show video they use gas without have any gas meter.
I waiting them 7 months I decide wait to move until this no solved.The last time promised me two weeks they come with police.2 weeks gone I called Cadent.The costumer service told me just because I say he stealing the gas that's not sure is true I said him I'm not saying he stealing I complaining the last 7 months by the way he use 4000m3 gas in summer period!!!by the way I lived there 6 years and my bill included in my rent only the gas was on my name from 2022 August I guess I ask to remove my name they told me if landlord report I move out they will remove my name!!!
I was in life-threatening danger due to gas and electricity and council remove us after .1 year the landlord forgot me to remove so it's still on my name however council don't let him to rent or living in the property.Now he's illegal workers occupied the flat!I still getting the bill
Go to Octopus u can see daily usage and price no cheating with costumers and u have any problem they sort you out immediately

Absolutely shocking company have had electric turning on and off every 10 minutes been waiting for it to be fixed for 2 days and the workmen will refuse to work if u have cobwebs in ur 20 year old cupboard even after tell them I suffer with bad mental health I have had nothing but stress off this company and I am still waiting for a new metre to be fitted

Nightmare company

This company is the pits!I am an elderley woman and they make the bills up as they go along.I give them meter readings and they give me the amount of the bill then bill trebles!Totally incompetent or scammers.Please avoid at all costs

If I could give zero I would

If I could give zero I would. When I moved into my house I asked if there was anything to pay before I switched to octopus. Who by the way are brilliant and recommend highly. Regardless of that I was told no and then I get a letter today 12 months later! Demanding £77 off of me! No wonder it’s a one star company!

This people are so so bad

This people are so so bad, the keep making up bills that even them cannot explain. They send me payments of days, weeks instead of monthly as agreed and make up bills and claims is a carried forward bill. I paid monthly and send all bank statement and requested to know which month bill was carried forward they couldn't answer only forcing me to pay which I refused and took them to ombudsmen who took side with them without evening going through my evident saying they have not done any wrong that i should pay them, but asked me to send me apology letter with a £30 credit which I refused. Ombudsmen always take side with them even though I end up paying them the £680 pounds for the 2 months we were fighting the case they still put my detail om credit score that I missed payments just to destroy my credit. PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THEM.

Avoid this dreadful company

Absolutely awful. Just moved into our new house and gave meter readings. Keep sending multiple bills with different amounts along with threats if we don't pay. Also asking me to set up an account and demanding I send a copy of the deeds of my house. Err no thanks. Have switched to our previous supplier (Octopus) from our old house who are brilliant.

EON energy alleged corruption

EON energy has allegedly forced multiple people towards suicide over predatory false sign ups(claiming certain elderly people have signed up and the provided date of their sign up, they were out of the country where this supposedly happened at said time), false claims stating people owe upwards of 4000 pounds when the actual bill was 600 pounds and other alleged criminal behaviour, if this company tries to lie to you and force you to pay for things you haven't signed up for, PLEASE ASK THEM FOR PROOF.
