I bought an EO3 to replace the EO2
I bought an EO3 to replace the EO2 , installed successfully, even charges but will not connect to the ev.energy App. The installer has given up. The Commissioning instructions leave a lot of questions and I haven’t had a sensible reply from either eo or ev support….☹️
EO Support are one the worst
EO Support are one the worst support organisations I have every encountered. They simply refuse to respond, make promises they can't keep and simply don't provide support.
I wish I'd never spent money on one of their devices. Do yourself a favour and stay far, far away from any of their shit.

Thrown to the kerb.... now have a dumb plug & play charger. Very poor not providing alternative support. Will never use again

I bought a charger from this company, it worked well.
Then they decide to switch off its online functionality,
leaving me with a dumb charger.
No offer of an upgrade or compensation.
Why would you do business with a company who have such disregard for their Customers.

They will 'notify you' that the charging programme will be discontinued and that you will ONLY be able to use your charger as a 'plug & play'.. so if you want to use 'off peak' electricity or 'solar charging you'll hve to get up in the middle of the night or be sure your'e 'at home at midday.. AVOID EO PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS.. i regret ever buying their EO charger
Eo mini 2 discontinued
Eo mini 2 discontinued, buyers beware.
Spent a lot of money to get an eo mini 2 pro installed. Only for this company to discontinue it's support In Ireland because of some mickey mouse get-out clause in the UK.
Now my charger is no longer a smart charger, no app functionality and operates as a dumb charging device. This is not what i paid for.
In breach of consumer protection rights.
I'll be pursuing with a small claims court for a refund.
I will never buy an EO product again, why would I, you could be in the same situation again in a years time spending a grand + on a charger only for them to no longer support it and stop all app functionality.
A shambles of a company
My Mini Pro V2 stopped working right…
My Mini Pro V2 stopped working right after they stopped app support for the device. It is only 2.5 years old, and the company doesn't offer repairs. They are asking me to buy a new one instead. A device that you paid £750 for works only for 2.5 years, and the first thing EO offers is to buy a new one.
Despicable company failing its clients
I agree with everything written recently about this truly despicable company. However my thinking is that this product is not fit for purpose so one could make a claim for compensation via the small claims process. I fully intend to do this and would urge other to do so too. This might spur EI into action as they will be hit hard where it hurts.

I spent allot of money installing an EO Mini Pro 2 to only get less than 2 years and EO decide to no longer continue supporting the software. Given it was useless software any, I did however use the scheduled charging feature and this is now being removed so I am left with a dumb plug.

"From 30th November 2025, you will no longer be able to access or manage your EO Mini Pro 2 through the EO Smart Home App. This means that any existing smart charging schedules set via the app will be cleared and all devices will be automatically unlocked. "
EO Mini Pro 3
Have EO Mini Pro 3 which is only 5 months old, every month since July there has been a problem. Now I have migrated to the new EV Energy app the CSMS connection goes down, and cannot charge. Both companies blame each other, do not trust either company.
EO Charging, useless product!
Does EO Charging actually have a Customer Support or Complaints department? If they do, they must all be either asleep or on strike. I submitted a complaint regarding the installation of an EO Mini Pro2 EV charger, organised by Octopus Energy, in July (thread::ggVG1_QhDgyQE_EJ_JxEmQg) and other than a pathetic, low, offer (linked to a NDA) I’m no closer to a resolution.
The complaint was regarding an EO Mini EV Charger supplied via Octopus EV Charging division who have a similar dormant complaint department (complaint ref # 22945939387) initial complaint raised 7th November and, to date, only SILENCE from both the Octopus Customer Service section AND their Complaints department!
The charger they fitted no longer meets the required CONTRACTED requirements but they just resort to silence instead of getting together with EO Charging and rectifying the problem. I am now left with a “Dumb” charger incapable of using energy from my solar panels as originally contracted.
I certainly suggest anyone thinking of installing any EV charger from EO Charging or contemplating using the services of Octopus EV charging division to do lots of homework before committing.
Caveat emptor, - let the buyer beware!!
Poor long-term support
Very disappointed with EO. I bought their EV charger specifically for its smart features, remote control, and scheduling options - all of which were part of the selling point. Recently, EO stopped supporting these features without offering any proper alternative or compensation, leaving the charger as a basic on/off unit. This defeats the purpose of a “smart” charger and shows poor long-term support for customers.
Don’t expect any support from this company
Our charger will lose all of its smart functionality at end of November due to withdrawal by EO. We were sold an EO mini Pro2 with solar 4 years ago expecting this category of equipment to give a 10 year life and we were keen to support a UK manufacturer. We were not advised of the emerging legislation which must have been known to EO at the time that this expensive product would be made prematurely obsolete after 3 years with no option to upgrade. EO customer service attitude has been lamentable. They have shown no concern and given no advice and have just responded to our enquiry that they are “not offering any upgrade or incentives on the ending of the miniPro2”. Avoid this company.

Avoid this company and get your charger from a reputable firm that looks after its customers. They are turning off the smart function of my EO Mini Pro 2 quoting some spurious legislation that others say doesn't apply. This means I can no longer benefit from the cheap overnight rate unless I get up at 12.30am and plug it in. I emailed "customer support" to see if they could offer a discount on a replacement charger as a gesture of goodwill to a long standing customer. Their response "No, there will be no offers or any other apps coming out for the charger". So there! Sod off customer and take your business elsewhere.
Avoid like the plague.
I installed an EO Mini Pro 2 in December 2022 at a holiday let we own for guest use. In summer 2025 EO tell me they're withdrawing support for this "old model" and it will now only serve as a dumb plug on the outside of the house. So I no longer have any control over it remotely, I can no longer measure power consumption to bill guests, and I can no longer turn it off remotely. In other words it's on "free vend", Contacted their customer service - who were useless if polite. Contacted their CEO via LinkedIn who didn't deign to have anyone reply. Avoid this lot like the plague - they clearly don't give a **** about their customers.
Mini Pro 2 charger stopped working…
Mini Pro 2 charger stopped working since Oct Tesla update. Spoke to 'customer service' and they said I need to buy a new one. What a racket - AVOID.
Totally dead after 2 years
Had EO home charging unit installed when I moved to EV in August 2023. Started randomly not charging my cara few months ago and now it has stopped working altogether and needs to br replaced. Would have thiught it would last longer then 26 months!

Turns out EO stands for "E-waste Only"
EO have taken the decision to disable the smart functionality on their line of consumer EV chargers, incorrectly siting new legislation and claiming it applies to previously installed hardware. They've taken over three months to respond to a complaint regarding this and have simply washed their hands of the problem siting their warranty doesn't cover software. As a result my three year old EV charger will now become e-waste.
Installed an EO charger
Installed an EO charger, but it only worked for about three years before failing. When I contacted EO to ask for a repair, I received an email saying they don't support the charger any longer. Utterly useless. They treat their products like throwaway devices, not the £1,000 products which I stupidly paid for. Avoid them like the plague!
