Charged an absurd amount for a scratch

I was charged an absurd amount for a scratch that was on the rim. I am not even sure if the scratch as there when I picked up the car because the pick up area was dark and there was no staff to walk me through a walk around.

The frustration of getting a damage to your car is always great, whether it is your own or a rental. We always make sure that our cars are checked thoroughly before they are rented out, to ensure that you won't be charged for another customers damage. In these situations we follow strict procedures to uphold the standards of our company.

We know that the car park can be dark, and damages - small or big - can be hard to spot sometimes. If you are ever in doubt when picking up the car, we will always be happy to help at the rental counter, if no other employees are around.

We are sorry about the bad experince you had. We always try to leave our customers satisfied and unfortunately did not pull this off this time.

DO NOT Rent cars from Enterprise

DO NOT USE This company.
I have used many car rental companies around the world. Enterprise is by far the worst. They run an ethical business. I was cheated by thier office in Aarhus, Denmark. Basically, they rented me a WV car which just arrived from the factory. But they took one of the original (brand new) car tires off and replaced it with a different one! They also took off the spare tire which normally the car is sold with! The old car tire which is different from the other 3 on the car, would obviously go flat as soon as you drive the car! I wonder why would they do such thing unless they want the customers to pay for them to get rid of their old car tires. Honest businesses do not take a brand new car and replace the new tire with a different one. The car didn’t even read the tire problems or give any indication about it going flat! The worst part is that I lodged a complaint using their “customer care”! They did not even call me or investigate the matter even after 5 follow ups from my side! Terrible cheating and unethical business.
You replied to my review saying that you have attended to my complaint. That is another lie!
No one from Enterprise has contacted me by phone or email since I have raised my complaint to your customer care on 12th Feb! I have followed up like 5 times at least and no one investigated! The only email I got was from the same person who cheated me asking me to pay another 800 dkk on top of the 4000 dkk which he charged to my card with no right to do so! He is threatening me and giving me an ultimatum!
You are defending your cheating team and making up more lies!

Let me stress that at Enterprise we make a living of satisfied and loyal customers - not from cheating them. We also have done our best to answer to all of your calls and e-mails.

And we cannot recognize anything of what you are saying in your review. We would never change a tyre on a new car and put an old tire on. We have the newest car fleet in Denmark and they all come with new wheels. Furthermore, if we - for some strange reason - wanted to put an old tyre on a new car, we would have to go out a by an old tyre, since we don't have any old tyres laying around.

What goes for spare tyre, almost no new cars come with spare tyres.

I trust that this will clear up the misunderstanding you have of our company.

Good car, good service, low price!

I had booked a VW Golf, but it had no winter tyres and it was snowing. So for little extra money they gave me a BMW X2 full optional, absolutely new. Excellent service!

Very satisfied customer

I have used Enterprise in Copenhagen Airport a couple of times and I have always been very happy with their service. They are extremely helpful and always try to find the best solution and solve any challenges. E.g. they have stayed after hours for me to get my car, they have given me some flexibility on return time - in general "just" a real pleasure to be a customer with Enterprise at Copenhagen Airport!

We rent a car for six days from Munich…

We rent a car for six days from Munich airport. Free kilometers we had 1800. When we returned a car we noticed afterwards our account was charged for extra 200 kms. This cost over 80 euros. They couldn`t check this matter afterwards, so we had to pay money for the kilometers we definitely didn`t drove. Now We have to take photos of the meter every time we rent a car, so that we can prove the right kms.

The difference between a violin and a viola is that a viola burns longer.

I have never been to Denmark before. I've used Enterprise extensively in the US and the UK (England, Northern Ireland). So far Enterprise is universally excellent across all borders (for me, at least). Denmark also left a wonderful impression consistent with the legacy of old friends (e.g., Bohr, Andersen, Borge).

Bottom line (cf. Mr. Victor Borge): When an opera star sings her head off, she usually improves her appearance. Thanks for the opportunity.

The office and carpark is located close to the airport accessible by a free shuttle bus.

Also impressed that they offer the pass to cross the bridge without any hassle.

Car return: a cold, windy and rainy experience

I regularly rent a car from Enterprise/Alamo on CPH. Most of the time I have a perfect experience (5*) - this time the handling was ok, but not as good as usual. People are different and sometimes have a bad day. I understand that...
And the Car Rental Center is way out - especially in the morning at 5:00 :) (This is true for most of the companies), the way from where you return your car to the shuttle bus is long, and after some construction getting even longer these days. Cold and windy, worst if rainy, you walk and pull your luggage along a bumpy sidewalk - an additional stop closer to the Enterprise/Alamo return (at the very end!) would be helpful.

Yes - I agree. We are located a bit far from the airport. Unfortunately this is the same for all the car rental companies in CPH, and not subject to change within the nearest future. Hopefully the road back to the airport will get easier when the construction is finished.

Surprise charge.

I had pre-arranged a rental and when I picked it up I was asked if I wanted normal tires or winter tires. There was no discussion of upcharge or any fee involved for winter tires, so I opted for winter tires. When presented with the digital receipt to sign for the rental, the zoom and pan of the screen were such that I could not see that the charge had been added. So, I paid an additional fee for something that was not originally quoted and not mentioned as a charge.
There was no issue otherwise. The car was acceptable and at a reasonable rate. The team was courteous and helpful other than the surprise charge.
