The car was ok and that was the only thing good about this experience. So many hidden costs and because it is run through a third party Gurin, there are so many more costs than you were led to believe... See more

My car was stolen and my insurance…
My car was stolen and my insurance company organised a rental through Enterprise Naas, as it is my nearest dealership. I got the email confirmation and when I arrived to pick up my car, they said they had transferred the booking to Kilkenny (an hour away from me). My friend who had driven up from Kilkenny to bring me out (as again, my car had been stolen) said okay, she will drive me back down to kilkenny, then after the employee made another phonecall suddenly there was no car in Kilkenny or Portlaoise. (I'm not sure where my booking went). Frustrated and already dealing with the trauma of being a victim of crime, they ensured me they would sort it out, ring me later and arrange a car for the next morning. It is 24 hours later and I have heard nothing. This level of incompetence and disregard for customers is shocking.
AFTER 50 YEARS, I FINALLY HAD A POSITIVE RENT-A-CAR EXPERIENCE!
I have rented automobiles frequently throughout my 73-year life, generally finding it to be a miserable experience. However, that was clearly not the case on June 2, 2026 when I picked up a car from the Coral Ridge Drive Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch in Coral Springs, FL.
Fate Walls, a branch manager, personally picked me up only minutes after receiving the call. She quickly informed me my car was already waiting and completely washed, then personally took care of all the business details expediently at the branch and took me to the vehicle -- a beautiful SUV. She patiently answered all my technical questions, for which there were many, as I tend to struggle understanding new technology.
Fate was extremely warm, understanding, and knowledgeable -- a class professional. I rented my first car in 1976 -- 50 years ago -- and never had anywhere close to this type of pleasant, competent experience. Kudos to Fate and the entire branch staff.
They have not heard the last from me.
They have not heard the last from me.
Book a vehicle online, payment taken and booking confirmation emailed to me. Then they call to say no car available to give me.
I then ask how long the refund will take to which I was told 5-7 working days. THEN I go to another Company locally who knew what I was going to say and fed back that they get at least 5 customers a week saying similar to myself!!!
Trading standards beckon!!
Useless company to be honest
Useless company to be honest, I have not even had it 2 months and I have been bombarded with useless emails and charges. Now they are asking me to pay deposits of £350 before booking a car. Nonsense. Do NOT use them.
Friendly and efficient customer service…
Friendly and efficient customer service reps at the Hailey, Idaho location. And especially great service at the Boise airport. Thank you Kam and Jose!! Cars are always clean and you won't have to worry about getting over charged.

Very unhappy with the service at Enterprise in Forest City, North Carolina
I am very unhappy with the service at Enterprise in Forest City, NC. I reserved a vehicle for pickup at 9:30 am on May 29th and had a confirmation number. When I arrived at the location, I was told there were no available vehicles, and it was implied that it was my fault because they had tried to call at 7:20 in the morning. (I work late at night). I would not be sending this email if they had been willing to check at a few other locations to help us find an available vehicle, but they offered no help whatsoever. I was renting the car to go to a graduation/birthday dinner my friends were hosting. Because of their horrible service, I had to let the host know that I was missing my own graduation celebration! The company can improve by tracking the number of cars available and preventing customers from reserving an unavailable car.
Not what I've come to expect from Enterprise
I’ve used Enterprise almost exclusively throughout my life because the process has always been straightforward and the rates have fit my budget. Unfortunately, my most recent experience at the Portland, Oregon – Gateway location left me disappointed and questioning that loyalty.
I had booked a mid‑size car three weeks in advance for a one‑way trip through four states. A few days before my pickup date, I stopped by the Gateway office to ask a simple question: whether I could add two hours to my drop‑off time so I could check in at my destination before returning the car. The manager — someone I recognized from previous rentals — told me that any additional hours would require paying for a full extra day, quoting me over $100. I declined.
Three days later, when I arrived to pick up the car (this time with my boyfriend present), I asked the same question again. The same manager suddenly told me it was “no problem” and that I could simply pay by the hour.
The inconsistency was frustrating. As a long‑time customer, I expect clear, honest, and consistent information — especially from management. Being told two completely different things by the same person within days made the experience feel unreliable and unnecessarily stressful.
I still appreciate Enterprise overall, but this particular interaction at the Gateway location was disappointing and not reflective of the service I’ve come to expect.
Booked a rental car through Priceline…
Booked a rental car through Priceline and showed up to pick it up, only to be told the car wasn’t available. No call ahead, no heads-up, nothing. Just showed up and was turned away. I then had to spend the next 4 hours driving to multiple locations trying to find a decent car, completely derailing my planned itinerary. That’s 4 hours of a trip I can never get back. If the inventory isn’t there, don’t accept the reservation. Absolutely unacceptable and a complete waste of time.
Let down
20 May 2026
I reserved a vehicle for this morning which I had to cancel as I was told there wasn't a vehicle available.
Though i received a telephone call in past 30 minutes stating Enterprise now has, i had already arranged for hire elsewhere. I was telephoned 90 minutes after i had cancelled my booking. It cost me and I had to go elsewhere.
Please will you debrief me about this?
Enterprise has gone to sh!t!
Booked online for a one way rental and have used the exact same credit/debit master card several times in the past from other states with no issues. However, we moved my daughter to Chesterfield Missouri and I needed to get back home to work. After the online booking, my wife drove me 45 minutes away from Chesterfield because they didn’t have any inventory for a one way rental. The next closest was in St. Peters Missouri and when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was abruptly told no that I could not use that card because it has a debit card feature. I tried everything to convince them and show proof, offered to pay any amount of deposit they needed or would happily pay cash. We don’t own credit cards and have never had any issues in 30 years without one. They claimed that it was because the St. Louis area was such a haven for crime and theft of cars that I could not rent from them. I tried calling the reservation dept. and they escalated it to a lady that tried to tell them that they could make an exception if I showed proof of a utility bill or something similar, which I would have happily provided them. The manager and the assistant manager were both dicks and would not offer any solution to my situation. I called back and made a complaint because obviously common sense has left the building. Oh, while I was waiting, at least 2 other people got turned away for this same reason and the manager joked that it’s a very common occurrence there but corporate would fire them for taking a debit card. Stupid unknown rule that has left me stranded and a very unhappy ex-customer. Do better Enterprise.
DO NOT RENT CARS FROM ENTERPRISE
DO NOT RENT CARS FROM ENTERPRISE
Upon returning the car to Gatwick the woman taking it in was meticulously searching for damages. This already made me raise an eyebrow.
After quite some while (don't mind me having to get to the plane...) trying to find anything she finally was successful: some minor/superficial scratches on the drivers side wing. You almost could feel her success.
The scratches must have been there before and I didn't notice them, as they were small and something I'd book as "wear and tear" with a rental car that already had run 30,000km. Also, I didn't even remotely have any accident.
Observing her behaviour and reading other reviews here my opinion is: there could be some kind of system behind that. Lending cars cheaply and then doing damage claims for even superficial damage that you never would see when receiving the car, which in my case makes up to 10 times the amount the car cost to rent (!).
I rented many cars in the last decades but never had experienced anything remotely like that before.
I rented from them in April 2026.
Brantford Location.
I rented from them in April 2026...A month later they refused the exact same credit card that I used the previous month saying they dont accept prepaid Mastercards. My friend offered to put it on her card so I could visit relatives, and was told that She would have to be listed as the primary driver and could add me as a secondary driver for an extra daily charge. Completely ruined my plans. Staff was completely dismissive. Was all over the US and never once had any issues renting a car with my card! I wish I had checked the reviews first. I have rented from Enterprise Nanaimo BC to Jacksonville Florida with no problems and the same card. They said they recently updated their policies. They dont take prepaid Mastercard, Cash, or Mastercard debit card from out of province. I took the train instead.
They do it right in Munich
I rented a vehicle from the airport counter in Munich, Germany and Jonas was lovely and extremely helpful. Would definitely rent there again! The pickup and drop-off process was a breeze....not like in the US. Thanks Jonas!
AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!
Horrible car rental service! Avoid at any costs.
Rented a Renault Captur from Enterprise…
Rented a Renault Captur from Enterprise at Herceg Novi in Montenegro. Excellent service, good car - very clean, reliable, comfortable. Service from Stanica Csmilovic in particular was first class. Highly recommended.
Awful awful awful
Awful awful awful! Collected car (filthy exterior) in Dublin and dropped off in Belfast after paying an extra £100+ one way fee, no problem. After drop off they took an extra £40+ from my deposit for additional one way fee. On calling them they said the initial one way fee had been incorrect and that I had signed the t&cs on collection to agree to extra charges. Pointed out that this was actually coincidentally incorrect since I hadn’t signed a thing on collection and was told I didn’t need to when I queried it at the time. Was then told since I’d booked through Expedia I would have to take it up with them as was their mistake. Incorrect! Expedia are acting on Enterprise’s behalf as an agent. Eventually got a refund through the credit card company. Miselling with extra fees from your deposit hoping you won’t notice. Disgusting and aggressive uncaring customer service wanting to pass the buck. AVOID!!!!
Worst service. Do not rent from Enterprise.
I rented a car for five days. I made a reservation for an Audi Q3 or similar. When I went to pick up the car, they told me they did not have my car and they offered me a Nissan Armada. The car had 75k miles, smelled like weed, had only half tank of fuel, had scratches all over, and very few features.
Additionally, the Enterprise representative was extremely pushy and insisted vigorously in me accepting additional insurance for an extra $200 dollars. My reservation price was $400 dollars and ended up paying $464.
I went to the rental site to return the truck and was closed on Memorial Day. I went to another site that had drop off box and left the car there. One day before the reservation return day. I just called this afternoon to let them know I dropped the track yesterday and they are charging me the extra day (today). No convincing explanation. I asked to email the final invoice and I am still waiting for it.
Worst car rental experience ever. I will not rent from Enterprise either personally nor business ever. I rent a car an average of once a month for my work.
I made a reservation for today
I made a reservation for today. They did not honor it. The office was closed. Today is a holiday but they specifically made the reservation for today at 1pm..
Online Booking
I booked online for the Clayton location. When I arrived, my appointment time was honored and I received the car within 10 minutes. It was very busy that day. Evan was polite and professional. We did the car check and I was on my way. I do wish this location was larger. I rented a large vehicle and I cringe each time driving in and out of that location. When returning the car, Jaedon, was just a polite and profrssional. We did a car check, gave him the keys and I was on my way.
