I chose Enhance Medical for my breast surgery and initially had a very positive experience with my surgeon. I found him caring, professional and reassuring, and I want to make clear that my concerns are not about him or the care he provided.
Unfortunately, my experience with Enhance Medical itself after developing an issue with my right breast has been extremely disappointing. My right breast has not settled correctly and I am now left with uneven breasts, which has continued to affect my confidence, body image and emotional wellbeing. Having undergone surgery with the hope of improving my confidence, it has been extremely difficult to feel that I am still unhappy with the outcome and that I have not been able to resolve the issue.
Following my reviews, I was advised that the issue was likely due to scar tissue and to continue with massage. I followed that advice and continued massaging, genuinely believing I was doing the right thing and trying my best to avoid further surgery.
I was later told that because I had not returned within 4–6 months, I was outside the aftercare period and would need to pay for corrective surgery. My concern is that I was never made aware that not attending within that timeframe could affect my access to further treatment. The email I received recommended returning in 4–6 months, but it did not explain that this timeframe was critical or that there could be consequences if I did not attend. The email also went into my junk folder, and no further contact was made by telephone or any other method to ensure I was aware of the importance of returning.
I do not believe there was any negligence or lack of engagement on my part. I did not ignore advice or refuse follow-up care — I followed the clinical guidance I was given and continued massage in the hope the scar tissue would improve and avoid the need for further surgery.
I also raised during the complaints process that I have difficulties with processing written communication and managing appointments, and I asked that this context be considered. I did not feel this was properly acknowledged. My concern is that important information and potential consequences were not clearly communicated to me.
When I returned for review, my surgeon advised that he would waive his professional fee and speak with Enhance Medical about my situation. However, during the discussion that followed, I felt the focus quickly shifted towards the financial aspect of treatment by the Senior Patient Care Coordinator, rather than first understanding my concerns and the clinical situation.
I was later offered corrective surgery for a £1,500 contribution as a goodwill gesture. I was told this represented a heavily discounted cost; however, I was not provided with the original cost of the procedure or an itemised breakdown, making it difficult to understand how the figure had been calculated.
After I progressed my complaint to Stage 3, the £1,500 offer was withdrawn. I found this particularly disappointing, as I felt I should be able to use the complaints process to have my concerns reviewed without feeling that doing so could negatively affect the outcome.
Throughout this process, I felt blamed rather than supported as a patient. My concern is not that I was unwilling to engage with aftercare; my concern is that I was not clearly informed of the consequences that Enhance Medical is now relying upon.
I hope Enhance Medical reflects on how it communicates important aftercare information to patients and how it supports patients when concerns arise following treatment.
Update: The company has publicly stated that my review is “not an accurate reflection” of my experience. I respectfully disagree and stand by my review. I have records showing that I raised my concerns during my 12-month aftercare period and attended follow-up appointments to discuss them. My review reflects my personal experience as a patient

This was my second time using Enhance Medical Group, and overall I had another good experience.
The only issue was with the pre-op nurse. I was initially told that I would not need to have my blood tests repeated, but at short notice I was then asked to do them again. My doctor had already checked my TSH levels and confirmed by message that these results were sufficient, but the pre-op nurse requested a T4 test instead.
I only had around three days to arrange the blood test and send the results over, and I was not told that I could have the test done at the clinic for an additional cost. I also felt that the pre-op nurse could have been friendlier and more helpful during what was already a stressful time.
Aside from this, all the other staff were great. The anaesthetic team were fantastic on the day of my surgery, especially Tony. He is an absolute gem and deserves recognition from the company for how kind and reassuring he was.
Ben Khoda was also amazing—kind, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend both Ben Khoda and Enhance Medical Group

The Anaesthetist (i cant remember his name) and his assistant Molly were angels in disguise, they kept me so calm when i was feeling like crying walking into theatre and molly held my hand as i drifted off bless her.
The Nurse that looked after me in recovery, her name was Ayfer, she was absolutely lovely, took pics of my boobs on my phone, adjusted my bra because they put it on wonky in theatre, made sure I was comfy, got me tea, sandwich, juice, water, biscuit. Put fan on for me when I was hot, got me extra blanket when I was cold. Honestly felt like nothing was too much for her. She explained everything, made sure I fully understood what meds to take and when. I had to stay a little longer than my discharge time as my husband was stuck in traffic and she made sure I was still looked after right up until I walked out of the doors.
Also, can't forget to mention my PCC Melissa, that poor woman has had to put up with months of my indecisiveness and 101 messages, she deserves a medal ❤️ The whole enhance team are amazing and I would 100% recommend.
Already thinking of what yo come back for next! 😅

This was my first ever surgery, very scared but something I have always knew I wanted done. When I tell you I couldn’t have asked for a better experience I truly mean it. From start to finish. Every member of staff has been so lovely, especially one of the nurses on day of admission, DOMINIKA i believe her name was. Made me feel super comfortable and treated me like a friend more than a patient she’s made the entire waiting time such a good laugh and made me a lot less anxious.
Overall I’m so glad I came to enhance medical. I couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to seeing my results next week.

Great initial meeting and consultation in Manchester. The hospital/Operation staffing Birmingham A* and Dr Koda was phenomenal in explaining everything in a no nonsense way. Aftercare at Leeds has also been fabulous.
Found the ‘Pre’ patient liaison difficult. Things left untill the last minute that should have been addressed, leaving me confused and unnecessarily stressed. Questions I had and was told to ‘refer to the hand book’, emails with !! In them which I found sharp and unjust.
All in, the experience was great however the team who ‘work’ with you pre op need a touch more empathy, understanding and need to reach out with information in advance not just 3 days before.

I had my breast augmentation surgery in March. Every part of my experience has been amazing, from the surgery to the follow up appointments. Dr Maklad was my surgeon and I could not be happier with the results, they are the size/look I wanted and scars are small. Nurse Naomi and PCC Melanie are also lovely. Could not recommend Enhance enough!!

I had my rhinoplasty at this hospital with Dr Seno and from start to finish my experience was fantastic,Every member of staff was kind, welcoming, and professional, which really helped calm my nerves before surgery.
The hospital was spotless, and I felt comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay. The nurses regularly checked on me, made sure my pain was well managed, and were always happy to answer any questions I had.
The surgeon and team explained everything clearly, so I felt fully informed and confident going into the procedure. Their care and attention to detail made a huge difference.
Although recovering from surgery isn’t easy, I felt supported every step of the way. I’m so grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone considering surgery. Thank you to everyone involved for making what could have been a stressful experience such a positive one

It was all pretty straight forward getting my breast augmentation done. After my procedure I had nurse Naomi in Bristol who was so nice. She made me feel confident in my recovery, reassuring me everything was normal and me gave me the advice needed to feel comfortable recovering at home for the next 12 months. She was great, even checking in on me between my appointments when I was unsure on bathing my wounds. I had Mr Maklad as my surgeon and my scars are so small, pencil thin. I followed his advice of size and I'm 5 weeks in and very happy I did, now. Trust the process.

From my very visit for my consultation through to my after care I can not compliment Enhance enough. The helpful staff with their professionalism and care are abundant. The wonderful staff at St Joseph in Birmingham were unbelievable. The aftercare given was relaxed and at all times made to make you feel comfortable. My surgeon Mr Maklad has done an amazing job and I am so grateful to him and all of his team. I would recommend Enhance if you are ever thinking of private surgery.

Just went for my final post op check up on Wednesday and I couldn’t be more happy. A big thank you to the whole company but especially dr Seno who listened to everything I said and did exactly that! So so happy with my breast augmentation results, he genuinely made them look super natural which is just what I wanted. I also wanted to thank my PCC Abbie Grant as she was so helpful and was always just a phone call away if I ever needed anything.
Was extremely nervous on the day of my surgery but everything went smoothly and even the anaesthetist was so lovely and held my hand just before as he could tell I was nervous.
Overall would definitely recommend and in writing this I hope it helps other people as I was reading loads before booking my surgery.
Thank you Enhance!!!

The whole journey from consultation to being discharged after surgery have been second to none.
The theatre team in particular were fabulous. I felt at ease from the moment I arrived in the admission lounge. I can’t thank you all enough I’m so happy with my results so far. A special thank you to Dr Taranto from the moment I had my first consultation I knew that you were the surgeon for me. Your expertise to your bedside manner truly makes you one of a kind.
Thank you again team enhance!
