Shame on you

Shame on you, English Elm. You accepted my payment over a week ago for a rug that I am just now being told doesn’t exist. My order # is ORDER 11501243854. Call me and make it right, and I will change my review. Bad business form.

They are extremely dishonest

They are extremely dishonest.
I purchased an item from them on 12/22 and tried to cancel it the same day using their email provided on the website, and got no response. I copied and past the same email into my Gmail and sent them a message and the email was returned undelivered. How can you cancel within an allotted time when the email doesn't work and it's the only way to cancel according to their cancelation policy?
Ontop of that they say items must be canceled before the shipment process starts but apparently the shipment process starts the moment you purchase an item. This is a very dishonest practice, making you think you have time to cancel when you really don't. Purchased on 12/22, sent the cancelation request on 12/22 moments after purchase with no response, then finally got hold of them and they say i missed the window and the item was shipped 4-5 days later. How is this trustworthy. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this is a scam if i ever seen one.
I have been disputing this with my credit card company and because of how they worded their policy its difficult to deal with them.

Items were on back order they should…

Items were on back order they should confirm before they ship if customer would still want the order, not only just before they start making the item. Items also arrived late and some damaged. I am waiting for them to send a label. They haven’t.

Deceptive return policy

I purchased this pillow because it appeared similar to one my husband had. On the main page of the website, English Elm claims "Hassle Free Returns
If you're not happy, we're not. Returns made easy." This solidified my choice to try it out. After a week and a half, I decided it was not working for me. When I went to initiate the return, the policy is actually that the request "must be made within one week after receipt of merchandise." I was actually planning on returning this and upgrading to a more expensive pillow. But since I missed the window, I am now stuck with an expensive pillow I don't love. I will take my business elsewhere to find a replacement.

Nice bench

Bench arrived well packed with no damage. Take your time with assembly to ensure you have all the finished ends facing the same way. We used wood glue as well and the bench feels very solid. The storage under the seat is deep enough for my husband's beanie motorcycle helmut & the drawer slides smoothly. Definitely a good value.

I highly recommend

Ordering was easy. My items arrived as described and much sooner than expected especially during the holiday season! If only every company would ship orders as quickly as this was the world would be a better place, a happier place for sure.

Great buy for the price

Shipment arrived in perfect condition. Chairs were easy to assemble.
4 stars because after order I was not contacted on when my chairs would arrive. Contacted company and they advised me they were on the way. Made it to me in 2 weeks after order. 👍Good but would have been nice to hear about arrival time by email.
