Useless

Useless. There is no aftercare service at all. If there is a problem they just wash their hands of you.

Use this company at your peril

Providing the product works then you probably be safe using this company. However, if the product you buy does not work then you are in for a nightmare. I purchased a Stephill generator from them in November 2020 and it worked for three and a half hours. Now it transpires that because of the type of generator I had it had to be sent back to Stephill under the warranty, no one would come out. That may be fine but try moving a 170kg generator on your own. Energy Generators were unhelpful and when my wife rang a certain person (who I could name) was rude to her. In desperation we contacted Stephill direct and they were, in fairness at that time, helpful and had the generator back and repaired it. In June 2021 the generator developed another fault and again we were told to send it back to Stephill. Now the generator provides electricity for a holiday cottage and to send the generator back would cost me approx £3,000+ in lost revenue so it would be cheaper to buy another generator. In October 2021 the generator leaked a full tank of diesel that required immediate action and since this happened outside working hours I could not contact Energy Generators and had to use someone else to sort the problem out. Stephill are maintaining such a thing can’t just happen and are saying the generator is overheating. However, since June the generator has not been used as I have installed solar panels as I can’t rely on Stephill’s generator. Therefore the fuel tank has split while standing idly a in cool room. I informed Energy Generator Sales of the last incident but they have never even acknowledged my email. I have to face the fact that I will just have to scrap the generator.

I would never recommend this company.
