It is crap. i never really got to use it set up was so hard and help was crap. And for never actually using is we paid 12 grand. It is so wrong!!! i would never recommend this to anyone!! Such a let and and expensiveone at that

Employment Hero is a company that once had a good product. Now it's a bloated product, with lousy support and a rapidly growing subscription price. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros:
- Integrates with some ERP's
- Paying staff is easy with downloadable .aba files
- Flexible and can cope with most situations
- Kiosk mostly works well

Cons:
- Pricing: started off reasonable. Increased from $165 per month to $275/month over three years. That's over 66% increase... to fund 'upgrades' which either didn't happen or are largely invisible. THEY ARE GREEDY.
- Implementation: ours was botched by their contracted implementor, and we've been dealing with rectifying issues caused by this for a long time. We've lost multiple DAYS of time over this.
- Incredibly complex. Many ways to do the same thing. This can be both good and bad - it can be very difficult to get rules etc to do what you want. And weird effects can happen from hidden settings.
- Reporting is missing a lot of functions, or it's hard to find what you want. NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL - it's ghastly.
- Navigation: some parts are okay, others are abysmal. Overall the UI is largely unchanged over three years, and whoever designed it should be sacked and deported. Okay, deported is extreme, all I can say is it's a horrible mess of a system to navigate.
- Support: unless you go on a REALLY expensive extra subscription, support is by a painful bot that regularly times out, asks your name, email and country even though you are logged in and it has all that info. Every single time! Including when it times out and you have to start again. This is one of the most egregious stuff ups - the support is horrible. No phone number, no email support - just some horrible bot that might if you tell it enough, put you through to a human... if you're lucky.
- We were told it would cover us by automatically making sure we could never underpay by having Awards built in. We found out that it didn't have them all, so good luck with that.

So... an incredibly capable piece of software, but not without considerable issues. Have fun.

'Stop wrestling with compliance' ??
What on earth are you talking about in your ads?
Very strange message. Businesses of all sizes need to be compliant - in terms of payroll, tax, health & safety etc. etc. You seem to be trying to discourage this.

Their ad (I heard when listening to The Guardian Football Weekly Pod) states as follows: ''So stop doing the admin the hard way. Our AI-powered employment operating system brings HR, payroll, hiring and benefits into one intelligent platform. Stop wrestling with compliance. Start winning. Search Employment Hero and book your
demo today''. This to me suggests that if you are compliant, you are not a winner but potentially a 'loser', which suggests people should not be compliant. This is potentially a damaging message to listeners.

You given no choice by your employer to register with platform and then they hold and I suspect sell your personal information forever.
I have made numerous requests for them to delete my profile and they refuse.

(Previous review) Been using this platform for bout 3 years.
And I'm not a person of complain or whatever because I believe in supporting business and not spreading negativity.

But lately, with their recent changes or updates or whatever, the app has started to have some login issues, not sending out codes, and whatever. That's tolerable. But what's not is that when an issue happens, you can NEVER EVER find anyone to help.

Most of the problems or bugs that happen, we figured ourselves, the support notes are useless, even the support team are slow. Not to mention that SUPPORT BOT.

So, if you're someone that are patients, can wait for 2 weeks when problem arise, then EH is fine. If you're someone who needs a proper support team? Sorry this is not for you.

There were some strong aspects of the system, with regular new features and ongoing development. However, for our organisation, it lacked the level of detail we needed around time tracking and shift management.

A very organised system, easy to use and to locate what you require. The system is set out in a way that IS quick to learn so you can't go wrong when using it. Would highly recommend to others to use!

Poor Ui/UX and information from CV often pulls entirely incorrectly.
Also in my own experience it has a tendency to crash when used on mobile devices, frustrating all and loosing potential candidates.
I wouldn't trust this tool for this most essential role.

Their chat AI is useless... It gives me menu instructions that don't match what is on my screen. It requests a screenshot of what the App displays. I upload the requested screenshot and still the AI gives me an answer that makes no sense, referring to a menu that clearly is not visible in my screenshot.
It is so hard to get hold of live support.
I've been with them for 3 years and it's only getting worse.

1) It is not possible to generate two separate payment files within a single pay run. The system does not support processing wages via ABA and deductions via BPAY in the same pay run. As a result, I will need to manually set up the BPAY payment in the bank.

2) Within the payroll platform, it is difficult to disable the import of volunteer shifts. If I select “import all unpaid timesheets up to date” which I had to choose in order to capture all backpays, some volunteer shifts appear to have already been imported, and I am unable to clearly identify which shifts may have been partially processed or in transit on my end unless confirmed with HR.

3) The system does not always accurately reflect changes to one employee’s working pattern, one of examples is Lara C transitioned from casual to permanent on the 17th however, only her casual timesheets have been imported into the payroll platform ending 23rd of Feb, despite her details being updated in EH.

4) When no timesheets are imported for certain employees, I am required to manually remove them from the pay run, which is time-consuming and inefficient

Employment Hero is always improving - I have been using it for over a year now and the addition of AI tools and LMS functionality have kept it up to date. I have begun to use the ATS system, which appears to be working well too. There have been a couple of minor snags - but they have been quickly resolved by the support team. Recommended

I dislike that the rota/payroll is on a separate part of the app with a separate password, I find this to be inefficient and redundant. The rest of the app works well and is easy to use

Easy to use, timesheets and rotas easy to use and see. Only issue is time it takes to swap between HR and other side of app.

Timesheets are easy to upload and it's good having most things in one place. However we are having to use multiple accounts so that we can view rosters. Everything would be much better in one place.

After explaining what solutions I was looking for in a platform, I was signed up to the trial. However, the trial only has certain features to dabble with.
I was not able to test out all the features I was looking for, I expressed this concern, yet I was pressured (they will use the word “reassured”) into committing to a 12 month contract worth $1188 at $90 per month, except once it’s all done it’s actually $99 per month, but anyway.

Once I had the full functionally of the program, I’m able to test the features I was needing and unfortunately, they didn’t meet my expectations, something I could have determined before hand if their trials were actually useful and contained all the functions.

I let them know very quickly that this actually isn’t going to meet my needs and that I wished to cancel my contract. But of course, their greedy little paws have been deducting $99 every month since, when I never even used the program past the set up stage.

Sure, they offered extra support in setting up and navigating the features but the features themselves were not as I hoped for, so extra support would have just been a waste of everyone’s time.

And obviously there’s no cooling off period clause in their contracts, because that would allow people to back out once they realise the program isn’t fitting for their needs.

This program would probably suit a lot of business’s needs, but you just have to sorta hope it fits yours because you can’t actually fully trial it before they rob you :)
