These guys are great when they have…

These guys are great when they have your money. When you decide to cancel the membership whilst you review it its financially worth while and to avoid the lumpy annual subscription the app coincidentally errors and canr do this and cant do that. The chatbot makes it so difficult for you knowing very well the average person would give up. The net result rhey have now taken the annual subscription ans you have to ask for the refund.
The development team have clearly focused their efforts on making it difficult to cancel the subscription and generate as much revenue as possible. For that reason I have cancelled my card, deleted the account and the app!

Hi Chris,

can you please reach out to live chat or support@emma-app.com? We are happy to cancel the subscription and delete the account if you are having issues. Keep in mind, if you have not fully withdrawn your funds from the app, the automated deletion process won't work.

Terrible

Terrible, I have had to wait nearly 3 weeks, to be offered £20 compensation! Then to have cancelled my order as i don’t think £20 is justified as the amount we spend on a mattress then have to wait 3 weeks because someone is NOT able to there job correctly and dispatch a mattress in a timely manner! Don’t bother getting it from here!

I am utterly appalled by the unethical…

I am utterly appalled by the unethical practices of EMMA. They lured me into a so-called "free trial" only to slam me with charges for a service I never wanted and never used! This company is nothing short of a scam.

Their customer service? Absolutely abysmal. When I finally realised their sneaky tactics and tried to cancel, they conveniently claim they have no record of my cancellation request. How convenient for them! It's clear they care more about squeezing every last penny out of unsuspecting customers than providing any semblance of ethical service.

I urge everyone to steer clear of EMMA. They will trick you into paying for something you don't need and then refuse to help when you try to rectify their deceitful behaviour. Be warned: this company cannot be trusted.

EMMA's response to my complaint was dismissive and cold-hearted. They basically told me tough luck, they've got my money now and there's nothing I can do about it. What a disgrace! Save yourself the headache and money, and find a company that values honesty and customer satisfaction.

Solid & helpful app

Solid app, very well thought through. I’m personally not at the stage where I need their premium plan. Was charged after my free trial from auto renewal - wasn’t my intention to keep the premium. I was able to process the refund myself on their app hassle free. If you’re earning / spending more & have different accounts including savings I would highly recommend, helps to keep all your finances in check.

Keeps my spending on track

The Emma app makes it easy to track your monthly spending, plan budgets for every sector of your spend e.g. housing, groceries, shopping etc. It tracks your mortgage or rent payments which boosts your credit rating, warns you about regular payments coming up and changes in payment amounts.

I check the app daily, often several times a day, it gives me control of my finances. I can invest as little as £1 in shares, Emma posts statistics on the top 8 shares its members invest in daily. This advice has helped me build a useful portfolio. I also save regularly with Emma because the interest paid is competitive.

The Emma app genuinely helps me to manage and grow my finances. It does this in a fun, lighthearted way. It’s like having “my sensible head” in my pocket. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Having spent several days trying to get…

Having spent several days trying to get back the £83.99 subscription fee that Emma took from my bank account without authorisation shortly after I cancelled the free trial on the App, I have now been informed that they will not return the money. This is despite me having cancelled the free trial hours before they tried to take the money from my account. I tried to stop the payment while it was still pending however my bank Chase said I had to deal with the dispute direct with the Merchant and that they were unable to stop the payment. I am now informed that Emma will not return the money.
I asked the bank if this means that any free trial I sign up to could result in me being billed anyway - even if I cancel within the specified time frame - and they say that yes this could happen.
A warning for anyone signing up to free trials as it looks as if you can be charged anyway. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman but I wanted to warn others who might be considering signing up.

I have ADHD and needed to get a grasp on what was actually going out of my accounts each month. The Emma App allowed me to easily connect to my bank, pull the details together and present exactly what I needed to know in a clear and concise way.
Easy to use.
Easy to understand.
Consolidates all my information in one place.
Cheap at £1.50 a month!

Excellent Money App

The app is excellent and helps me manage money across accounts and budget effectively. Customer support has been helpful when I’ve rarely needed them too.

If you like lack of customer support Emma is your place!

One thing that I hate with this new era that we’re living in a lot of people are so comfortable with creating businesses but not comfortable with hiring or putting out more money or training to provide customer service services anymore. When the Emma app goes through shit, there’s not working properly, having issues with billing don’t expect any response from any of the support team. When setting up the account it took me 10 working days to get response anyway. I’m now trying to get my money back and I haven’t had a response at all. It looks like I have to go through my bank. It’s annoying to have to earn money to then pay someone else that decided to open a business that only wants to do half the work. I’m not going to pay for a subscription after this and I recommend people don’t either. Don’t bother with businesses that don’t bother putting any customer support around.
