Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the website, encountering repeated problems logging in and finding the site's name concerning due to perceived issues with profile authenticity. Customers also reported that the website's functionality had changed, making it difficult to message others or find serious profiles. Some people were dissatisfied with the subscription model, noting that customer support refused compensation outside of the initial two weeks and that automatic renewals led to dissatisfaction regarding charges. Reviewers also found customer contact to be unhelpful, with support denying communication problems and refusing refunds.

Don't waste your time on EliteSingles personality test and your money on the paid subscription

It's not different from free dating sites. You won't get that high quality that you can get on paid reputable sites like J4Meet.com
So what you can expect from EliteSingles is to pay a lot, get introduced to a bunch of fake accounts and scammers and then get ripped off through automatic renewal of your subscription. Most of these scammers have overly polished pictures (these images are suspiciously perfect), they get head over heels for you at first sight, they always refuse a selfie and they always find an excuse to avoid personal meeting.

Not what it claims to be

Don’t waste your time or money on this dating website.
I joined last summer, decided to subscribe and paid the fee. Months later they completely changed the website, now you can’t message anyone unless you both like each other, you can’t see who you sent likes to, the matches are not within the parameters set, there are hardly any serious profiles of professionals, most feel fake and seem to have the same basic set of information, … it’s basically a swipe left or right website now, not what I wanted at all and why I chose Elite singles in the first place. When I contacted customer services to request a refund explaining my reasons for the request, I received a short reply stating that I could only change my mind within the first two weeks of signing up and a refund would not be given. They just dismissed my request without going into the reason. They did however switch off the auto-renew for me… I have deleted the app. Hope this review helps others to save their money.

Much Improved!

I reviewed Elite Singles last year to comment that it seemed to have been taken over by loads of fake accounts/bots/AI whatever that sent weird messages, but since the revamp this now seems to have been sorted out and I am back to getting matches, chats and dates with real, genuine people, so great that it is now sorted!

Definitely NOT elite!!

Absolutely shocking how they can call themselves Elite Singles I have no idea.

Long-term unemployed, care assistants, HGV drivers…

I’m sorry, but all of these people can be found for free on Tinder! They also can you into staying for longer because their subscription auto renews and they will not refund thankfully they recently changed their distance minimum after I complained millions of times but it still makes no difference. The pool of men is very shallow and very low-grade and definitely not elite I would never recommend.

A complete scam

A complete scam, paid for my daughter for six months, she cancelled after a month having met someone through a friend.
No direct debit or standing order set up but still took money from my account. Fraudulent. Unable to cancel as she has no profile or password, they keep asking me to join!!!! Now going to lawyer to cancel and try and get money back.

Elite Singles DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Shocking experience. Used this App previously some years ago but my current experience was an unresponsive process dead end, helpline and despite paying for the Premium service continually bombarded to upgrade to the service I paid for in the first instance. Then when I did not pay ‘sorry to see you go’. The helpline was not a helpline at all but ‘not our fault’. Thank goodness Apply Pay agreed with me.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, they have ruined this site. Absolute waste of time, they take profiles off other sites, a friend of mine appeared on here and she was on Ourtime. Save you money, absolute scam and basically a rubbish Tinder but twice the price. One star is generous.

Appalling new format…

Under the site's previous format I had a regular supply of contacts. Since the change to the new version, I have had absolutely none and the system is terribly difficult to navigate. What were they thinking? Why hasn't the system been changed or improved given the huge number of negative reviews? I want my money back!!

Inability to communicate with matches

Inability to communicate with matches, dysfunctional technical site. Very expensive white elephant do not use.
Deeply disappointed with this site and began using different sites far more useful.
Worst of all when you realise how bad it is you cannot cancel so they take your money anyway

Elites Singles downgrade

Elites Singles recently 'upgraded' their website which was a massive downgrade and is a clone of Silver Singles. The matches don't match in any way ie,
Education level, location, height, interests and having had a high success rate of contact I initiated on their old site I received zero response from 50
Contacts I made. Most of the profiles are fake anyway. It is a shame as it is hard to find a decent site for educated older singles. They say they have now refunded me after quite a battle but I have yet to see the credit.

Perfect Match

I met my partner via elite singles 10 years ago, the match was perfect! We got married this year and I can honestly say it was a dream for us. I loved the site, found it easy to use and the few dates I had previously where professional, genuine people. When I met my partner and cancelled the subscription, it was straight forward and no issues, so I'm surprised to read the comments regarding difficult cancellation. For us it worked out and I can't thank Elite Singles enough.

A real shame

A real shame. In a very short time, Elite Singles has made the journey from decent dating site to disgusting scam. Cross it off your list.

A scam

A scam. I wish I'd come here to check it out first.

You can't upload pics. The service desk took 2 days to respond and gave me instructions for a desktop (!?) which was essentially to switch it off and on again.

No other profiles on there. It's a scam.

Really Poor - Use 14 Day Cooling Off Period for Refund

Really poor matches and echo some of the comments on here about there being nothing elite at all.
My reason for writing is to highlight that in the UK there is a 14 day cooling off period and you can get a full refund if requested. After 1 week of disappointment I went onto their website and requested a refund using their Contact Form (when you can find it - search for it on Google rather than try and find it on their site!) under the selection of "cooling off period" and to be fair, the refund was almost immediate. No questions or quibbles. If you act within the 14 days, hopefully you should get a full refund.

AVOID - waste of money - FULL of fake bots

I stupidly paid for a 6 month subscription - worst dating experience ever.
The website is 95% bots - what I mean by that is fake profiles with just one photo that send one liner messages like
"I just wish to be happy in life"
"I'm old enough to know what I want"
"Am looking for dates not penpals"
"I'm old enough to know what I want"
This isn't how real people talk. I'm 99% sure there is a small team in India just shooting out thousands of these generic fake messages every minute.
Elite Singles should be ashamed of themselves deceiving people and taking their money.

Company indifferent to user experience.

This site emailed notifications and matches for the first month of my 3 month subscription. Then I got an automated message only once in the second month. I had repeated problems logging in with the password I'd used before. I contacted customer support which sent me a change password message. The problem recurred twice. Bot-like responses suggested I change the email linked to the account. I got the impression the company cared nothing about user experience. They denied any problems with comms. and refused any compensation, saying this was not payable after the first two weeks of a sub. Conclusion: an untrustworthy company. Don't waste your time and money.

FRAUDULENT COMPANY

I joined the company and paid the membership fee. I then started replying to a backlog of messages in my inbox. The next day I discovered I was banned from accessing my account for reasons unknown. I complained to customer service who asked for a copy of my ID which I sent. I never heard back again despite multiple messages to customer service. So these thieves banned my account the day after I paid them and then took a copy of my ID and completely ignore me! Report them to Action Fraud and take them to a small claims court. This company is absolute trash and outright thieves. Beware of being defrauded people!!

Agree with all other reviews

Agree with all other reviews - they do NOT send you 3-7 a day - I have had 241 in 6mths - very few nearby and some abroad. Many without photos and some odd messages from supposed matches. ( I happen to know one of them and he said he left years ago and they are still using his photo and sending fake messages). Do not waste your money
