I've been entering competitions…
I've been entering competitions regularly for some time and have noticed a concerning pattern 99% of winners are English and most from the local and surrounding area where this company is based The names of the winners also seem suspect something is not right with the way winner selection process is handled and it's not as random as they make it out to be. You barely see any non English winning names unlike other companies like botb.

Firstly, it isn't possible to determine someone's nationality or ethnicity from their name alone. A person having an English-sounding name does not mean they are English, just as someone with a non-English surname is not necessarily from another country. Making assumptions based on names is simply not a reliable way of assessing who our winners are.
Elite Competitions is based in Blackpool and has built a large customer base across the North West over many years, so it's only natural that many of our winners come from this region. However, we also have winners from all over the UK and beyond. Our prize delivery team travels nationwide every week, and we've had major prize winners from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. One of our previous house winners was from Poland, and our most recent house winner travelled over five hours to visit their new home.
Every winner is selected using a random draw, and before any prize is awarded, they must complete identity verification checks to confirm they are the genuine winner. Our draws are conducted publicly, and we've been operating successfully for many years while awarding millions of pounds worth of prizes.
We understand that not everyone will win, and it's natural to question the process. However, our winner selection is entirely random, and every valid entry has an equal chance of being selected regardless of a customer's name, location or background.
We're always happy to answer genuine questions about how our competitions work.

Doesn’t seem legit
I'm writing this because after tracking the winner announcements over the last few months, I’ve noticed a few patterns that just don't sit right with me and make me highly skeptical.
First of all, you have people winning massive prizes multiple times within two years. For example, a person winning in early 2024 and then winning the 1.8 million house bundle just recently. I get that people can buy lots of tickets, but the odds of hitting major jackpots twice like that are crazy and it feels off to the average player. On top of that, there is a massive amount of winners who all seem to be local to Blackpool, Preston, and Lancashire, coincidentally right where you are based at.
The biggest red flag for me though is that when I tried to look into it, I literally could not trace almost any of these winners on social media. They have zero digital footprint.
If Elite Competitions wants to clear this up and prove people like me wrong, I’d like them to answer a few things publicly:
1. Are the names you put on the screens and cheques the actual real names of the winners, or do you use dummy names/aliases to protect their privacy for GDPR?
2. If they are real names of real people, why do so many of them have absolutely no traceable social media presence and why can’t you show us their profile with the winning ticket number, on your livestream? As you have revealed their name already?
3. Why are so many of your big winners concentrated right around your own local operational area?
People spend hard earned money on these draws. If everything is completely random, national, and above board, then some genuine transparency would go a long way here. Until then, I’m holding off.

Yes. The names shown during our live draws and on our winner announcements are the names registered on the winner's Elite Competitions account. Before any prize is awarded, every winner must complete verification checks, including providing valid identification, to confirm they are the genuine winner. We do not use aliases, fake names or dummy winners.
**2. Why can't I find many winners on social media?**
Firstly, it's worth asking how anyone could be certain that a winner doesn't have social media. Many people use different names or nicknames online, have private profiles, or simply don't appear in search results. Others choose not to use social media at all.
We also have a legal obligation under GDPR and UK data protection legislation to protect our customers' personal information. While we announce the winner's name, we would never share or direct people to a winner's personal social media accounts or disclose any additional identifying information without their explicit consent. Our customers' privacy is extremely important to us, and we will always protect it.
**3. Why do so many winners appear to be from the North West?**
Elite Competitions has been based in Blackpool for many years, so naturally we have built up a large and loyal customer base across Blackpool, Preston, Lancashire and the surrounding areas. However, our winners come from every corner of the UK, and our prize delivery team travels the length and breadth of the country delivering prizes every single week.
For example, our most recent house winner travelled over five hours to visit their new home, and one of our previous house winners was from Poland. We regularly award prizes to customers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Like any competition company, the geographical spread of winners simply reflects where our customers are based and who has entered that particular competition.
**4. Why do some people win more than once?**
Every ticket entered has an equal chance of winning. Customers who enter regularly or purchase more tickets will naturally have a greater chance of winning over time than someone who enters occasionally. Previous winners are not excluded from future competitions, so repeat winners are an expected outcome of any genuinely random draw.
We also feel it's worth mentioning that Elite Competitions operates very publicly. Our draws are broadcast live, our winners are announced publicly, and every winner is thoroughly verified before receiving their prize through identification checks. We have been operating successfully for many years, have awarded millions of pounds worth of prizes, and have built a community of over 11,000 five-star reviews from genuine customers. If our competitions were not genuine, it simply would not be possible to operate so openly, continue growing year after year, and maintain the trust of so many customers.
