They’re holding my video hostage and…

They’re holding my video hostage and won’t release it unless I pay them $2000+
All their reviews are fake. I was coerced into signing an array of documents after my wedding or else they won’t release my videos and photos. I was threatened with law suits if I leave negative reviews and subjected to such unpleasant hostility. At the end they sent me a corrupt file for my video and want me to pay another $900 to ‘unarchive’ it they do it on purpose to extort money absolutely unethical company. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau as well as the federal trade commission for suppressing the reviews which is illegal and is regulated by the FTC and I will also proceed to file two claims against them in my county’s superior court. Enough is enough. It was bad as is and I let it slide all I want is my video which is PAId FOR. I let go of so much of their coercion cause I don’t have the energy to be dragged into such pettiness. If they won’t give me my video I ain’t paying them a dime they can keep it but I’ll make it my business to let the world know, let the authorities be involved, and take it up in court.

STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!! This is probably the worse, most scamming company in its industry. Especially when it comes to hidden fees. A year ago, I hired them for my wedding for $2600 of 8-hour combined photo&video, plus $450 of drone coverage. And so, I paid $3050 total (or so I thought) with a promise of $300 coupon. From here, everything goes downhill.
First, they make you think you can choose a local agent (photographer/videographer) from a list they give you. Those locals are conveniently never available. And so, this company assigns you agents at their own discretion - the problem with that is, they pick agents from anywhere in the world and don't tell you a thing but charge you the travel expenses of those agents right after the event (due 4 days after event; too bad if you're on honeymoon and miss to pay). They only cover the first 90 miles of their agents' travel expenses. That's a scam, especially if they are the ones picking agents from anywhere without your approval or knowledge. In my case, they billed me 298 miles or $400. When I challenged this, they offered me a $200 credit in exchange for signing a binding agreement to not post a negative review - another scam move.
And, all the 8 hours are consecutive with no flexibility whatsoever. Any additional hour jumps to a combined rate of $455/hr from the initial $325/hr, also consecutive. These extra costs all have a 4% convenience fee, or $60+ in my case. And the $300 coupon... it was useless because the cheapest item they sell is a $330 unwanted item and the next cheapest is almost twice and then onto much more expensive products.
If you do the math, you end up paying more or less double the initial price. I wouldn't recommend this company at all.

Unprofessional Service Received

The photographer, Muhammad, we were given was disrespectful and unprofessional. He didn't respond to two emails we sent prior to the wedding and I had to be the one to call him myself. He didn't once reference the shot list that we provided to him and took unflattering angles (looking down at the camera) and didn't let us talk. The service was so unprofessional we didn't do sunset pictures because I was on the verge of crying from working with him earlier in the day. I regret hiring him. He wasted at least 15 minutes trying to remember peoples names instead of just pointing to people. I had emphasized efficiency with him prior to the wedding and that clearly was not utilized. The videographer was good. Upon reaching out to their customer service on the unprofessional service we received from the photographer we were given a resolution form offering a 8x10 (smaller than a standard piece of printer paper) canvas priced at $500+ of one picture. By offering that, it is clear they realized they were in the wrong. If you get to that step, be cautious because if you accept their offer, you are not allowed to post anything about your service. I didn't appreciate being threatened with legal action upon sharing my experience with the company so I declined their resolution and will instead be sharing on every platform I can find of our experience. Be cautious

Unprofessional and Amateur Product

I am writing because we are very unhappy with the service that we have been given booking with Eivans. When we signed a contract we were told things that were untrue. We were sent a list of photographers and asked to choose our favorite and a couple back up options. We made choices based on the style that we wanted our wedding captured in and we choose based on the personality of the photographer. We understood that we might not get our first or second or third choice but we thought that would at least get someone off of the list that they sent us.
We were told that we would meet our photographer/videographer team around 60 days before the event. We reached out and they said it will be within 30 days of the event. 5 days before the wedding we were assigned a photographer and upon inspection of his photos his style is completely opposite of what we had envisioned. We had still not yet been assigned a videographer. He was assigned 3 days before the wedding.
We have received terrible customer service and we were charged hidden travel fees. The photographer that we had was a nice man but we found out that he had only worked with the company one other time and that was because he filled in for someone that he knew.
The photos/videos were not to the quality that was portrayed on their website. We did not get to choose the wedding song for the video trailer. We did not receive the ability to tell the editors what we wanted before they edited the 30-60 minute video. They said we could have one free revision and then any after that we would be charged a fee of an unknown amount. They did not include the first kiss in the highlight trailer.
They had offered a 40% off promo of the raw video footage before the wedding and we did not think to get it because we thought that we would receive adequate editing, when we let them know we were unhappy with services rendered they said we can not offer you that anymore.
We feel taken advantage of.

This company is an absolute scam

This company is an absolute scam. Everyone should run away from them and report report report! They are abusive to both their clients and staff. I have read horror stories on glassdoor about the way management treats them and how they are monitored with multiple cameras in each room. I truly believe they may be getting away with illegal and unfair practices. The FTC needs to investigate and SHUT THEM DOWN.

From bad to worse

From bad to worse. I gave two stars my last review, and had to come back and give one star. After getting the run around regarding a check that they said "wasn't clear" (they use a check photo to process payment), A CSR reaches out and rectifies the situation.... Only for me to go to my back account, and see that they deposited the check that wasn't "clear", as well as another photo of another check I sent that was "clear". My total balance was $1,749.99. imagine my disgust when I saw both checks for $1,749.99 deposited. No one at the company communicates with anyone, and it's disgusting! No amount of rectification is equal to the stress this company put me through. Even if they reimburse me, that takes business days to get back, inconvenience, and puts me in the negative for other bills I have due from the account. I'm disgusted with myself because I do my best to review and get the best opinions. Guess the stress of a wedding got the best of me. Doubt if I get my money back because their contract is pretty iron clad. I'm asking Facebook to remove their ads because this is horrible. And NO you can't pay me to take down my review. No one should have to go though this. Customer service reached out to me and stated it was my fault for sending another check. Fraud

Run away!

In my opinion, the contract that they did with my loved one was predatory, they baited and switched on the photographer, the photos (poses, lighting, etc.) were worse than amateur, and they legally gagged my loved one before delivering the photos and video. Basically—exact same experience as the other reviews posted here on TrustPilot.

I wish I had read all these reviews…

I wish I had read all these reviews before. I am angry, disappointed, I have been scammed and this company needs to be reported.

1- you will never get anybody to talk to over the phone for help

2- even if you do, they are very rude

3- the photograph quality and video is so poor that you can not do anything about the picture. You pay so much and then they come back and ask you for more money before your video will even be released to you.

I am literally sick and sad writing this review.

I don’t need to say more. Please please please believe everything in this comments and review.

Please don’t be a victim to this company

Likely Scam Company

We paid over $4000 for video and photography services for our wedding. A year after the wedding ALL copies (at least 3) of the wedding video we had saved in separate locations were corrupted at the same time. Again, multiple copies of the same video, saved in separate locations, all corrupted at the same time. When we contacted Eivan's to request a copy of the video we paid thousands of dollars to have made, they require $800 to "unarchive" our wedding video that mysteriously corrupted. Screams scam to me. We thought we could trust them because they had good reviews on The Knot.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Beware of this company! We booked them in February 2021 for our May 2022 wedding. We initially paid the deposit and were planning on paying over the year only because we were not comfortable paying in full for services not rendered and not happening for over a year - anything could happen. However, after reading the fine print and doing a bit of math, if we did the gradual payments we would end up paying an extra $1500 in fees which we now see is one of their many tactics to basically steal money from people and not have to deliver. After paying in full we received no communication from them for the entire year. Reached out again in April 2022 (a little over a month before the wedding) as they were the only vendor that had not reached out to us to discuss details of the day. We were told "introductions are typically done 30 days out". About 3 weeks before the wedding we were copied on an email with both our videographer and photographer basically saying you take it from here. Which btw were not the ones we selected. We reached out to both 3 times with no response from either putting us now at less than 2 weeks out from the wedding. At that point we made the decision to cancel and let them know via email which we THEN finally received a response to. 2-3 days later we received a call trying to encourage us not to cancel by offering us "extra services" - we declined. Want to cancel? They charge an astronomical fee (even if you've paid in full) not happy or didn't get the quality or service you paid for and want to dispute with your credit card? You guessed it another fee. I've also heard they charge some crazy fee to access your own photos if you don't download them in the short window they give you to do it. Since we ultimately did not use them I can't confirm if that part is true. All of these fees are put in place to discourage people from fighting them and allowing them to take people's money for terrible service with no penalty and this should be illegal. Luckily we were able to find an AMAZING photographer but still fighting to get our money back from these awful people.

SHADY AND SCAM COMPANY!

This is a very shady and unethical company. We paid $2300 for photo and video package for our wedding. The company does not release the photos and videos until 6 months after the wedding date because they will try to make you pay an extra $3500 to get the photos and video early. They do not disclose this anywhere on their website. I left a bad review on google about the long 6 months wait and them requesting extra money to download the full raw video.

Fast forward 6 months, we got an email on December 6th saying that the video is ready to download and we have 30 days until it will be archived. After 30 days we will have to pay $750 to unarchive it. When I tried to download them on December 11th 5 days after receiving the email, I got an error saying that the video has been archived and deleted and that I need to pay $750 to download it. I thought fine there must be a mistake. I called Eivan and they told me that they will unarchive it only if I sign a legal document stating that I promise to delete all bad reviews in exchange of unarchiving the video which I paid to get.

This is illegal and unethical. They tried to blackmail me in exchange for a service that I already paid for! There are many reviews on google from people who also got blackmailed by Eivan Photography where they would only release the photos in exchange for a good review.

I called them and told them what they are doing is illegal and if they want me to remove my bad review, I will happily do it in exchange for the full video footage. I'm also still waiting for them to release the video that I paid for.

I screenshot and kept all the documents and have recorded all the phone calls for evidence. They immediately withdrew the legal document they sent me as blackmail as soon as I called them because they know what they are doing is 100% illegal.

Soooo I'm sure your here to read…

Soooo I'm sure your here to read reviews because you're newly engaged (Congrats) and looking for a photographer/videographer for one of the most special and magical days of your life. You looked all over and ran across this company that seems pretty legit, picture quality looks nice, and they seem to offer really affordable packages. And let's face it weddings are expensive and stressful so the idea of killing two birds with one stone is appealing. You call them up and talk to a very nice customer service agent who explains the process, packages, the ability to pick your photographer etc, happily answer all your questions and immediately follow up with you the next day. Now you're thinking "finally found one and can check this off my list." Well since this was my personal experience I'm here to tell you DON"T DO IT!!!!!!! I get it! Finding a quality photographer/videographer with out breaking the bank is hard but after the experience I had I wish I would have just went with the more expensive options and ended up with amazing photos/footage in a timely matter. After deciding to go with the company we were sent options of photographers in our are who's work we could review and decide to choose. We chose a photographer and was told she would be available the day of our wedding so everything was set for over 6 months. A week before our wedding we received an email of who our wedding photographer and videographer would be and neither were people we had chosen. Imagine having someone capture one of the biggest days of your life and you have never never viewed their work and have no clue who they are. Sucks right? But our package was paid off and it was a week before our wedding so we had no choice. They were scheduled to arrive at 2:30p to capture the wedding party getting ready i.e girls with the matching robes/ men with their tuxes but they decided to show up at 4p an hour before my wedding start time and missed all of that. (Literally making it pointless for me to gift the wedding party all of these matching items) But it's my big day so the show must go on. My photographer seemed to be young and very inexperienced. Not catching pivotal moments, weird angles, bad lighting taking forever to set up, and asking us for suggestions on poses and positions. We got very little of what we requested on our initial intake and after receiving my pictures (Married 9/10/21 received photos 10/25/21) I was distraught. I had was so excited about seeing our final product and just couldn't believed what I received. I literally could have done better editing on my phone and there were so many off centered and blurry pics smh needless to say I contacted the company ( before you all ask me to email info@eivans I did) and was sent a basic scripted apology about how I could schedule to speak with a manager about my concerns with a link. Clicked the link and guess when I can speak with someone? FEBRUARY!!!! For an issue that happened in September lol And don't let me forget to mention the fact that after reviewing your gallery you still have to spend hundreds to be able to download or purchase any of your pics. That $300 credit is a joke! I still haven't received my video since they said that could take up to 6 months *eyeroll* and honestly not even looking forward to it at this point. The moral of this story is: JUST DON'T!
