Our experience with ECU Worldwide has…

Our experience with ECU Worldwide has been extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and the entire process felt disorganized from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward shipment turned into constant follow-ups, confusion, and frustration.

There was little transparency throughout the process, and getting clear answers or accountability was nearly impossible. For a company operating in global logistics, the level of service we received was far below expectations.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences we have had with a forwarding company. Based on our experience, we would not recommend ECU Worldwide.

much of the same experience that everybody else is having they will nickel and dime you for every possible add-on. They want to charge $60 for the driver to call you when they arrive on premises. There are much better services out there that care about customer service I would highly recommend finding somebody else to move your freight with. this experience was with the Miami office and the Los Angeles office so much better services out there with better customer service. It seems like they are not interested in repeat business.

CLOWNS! This company is Grossly Negligent! Incompetent! Unprofessional, Liars, they will cost you a fortune due to their Negligence and Incompetence.

There should be a NO Star signage

There should be a NO Star signage for the Queens New York Office of this Company, and they should be investigated because something seems "very wrong" and questionable about their operations. I DARE them to call me a LIAR.
On November 5, 2025, my husband drove from the State of CT to this NY Office in Queens to ship a Barrell to my island of Dominica. My Trip was planned that I would be on the island from December 18. Paperwork confirms payment was made and barrel would arrive in Miami for sailing to Dominica on November 20. I contacted this office on Nov 26 when the Consignee informed me there was nothing in her name for receiving. The Rep who dealt with me practically argued with me that the barrel was brought to their office on Nov 19 after going back & forth, I informed the Rep that I've chosen not to fight his battle today "and hung up the Phone.
I arrived in Dominica on 12/18/25 and No sign of the barrel. I contacted the very same Queens Office, the Local Agent for the Queens Office in Dominica and I went online to track this barrel. The status states, Barrel is in Dominica ready for clearance, however both the Local Agents and Port Authority were unable to find or confirm this barrel is in Dominica, until 12/19/25, we were informed a shipment was expected to arrive on the island on 12/20/2025 and my barrel might be included but would only be available for clearance on 12/22/25. Again, Consignee went to clear barrel and was unsuccessful and again returned on 12/23/2025. This Time we are looking at the barrel within arm's length but unable to clear because the Shipper in NY have not been paying their Bills thus the barrel cannot and will not be cleared unless the Shipper in NY pays their Bills. I was asked to contact the Shipper asking them on behalf of other consignees to please pay their Bills in order that Customers barrels and other Items are released for clearance. While all this is going on I have been contacting the NY Office via Phone Calls (and Email for paper trail reasons). In one email where I expressed my frustrations a Rep responded by RE-informing me of the Company's Policies in regard to shipping which I already knew thus my Reason for sending the barrel ahead of my arrival date in Dominica. In another email when I made mention of the Local Agent is requiring the NY Office to pay their Bills in order that my Barrel is released for clearance this same REP responded by boldly telling a lie that I received the Shipping documents but paid for Shipment AFTER the Cargo (my barrel) had been shipped, thus my barrel is held by. As of typing this barrel has still NOT been able to be cleared because although the Shipper ECU Worldwide may have paid their Bills the Port in Dominica is now closed.
These folks NEED to be investigated, I will be contacting the Bureau of Consumer Affairs, Rest assured had I paid these Folks of ECU Worldwide at the Queens NY Office with a Credit Card there would be a Dispute going on even before this Review, but alas they were paid as their Stamp clearly states PAID IN CASH 05 Nov 2025

This company tries to find ways to…

This company tries to find ways to charge additional fees that are unjust and unfair to take advantage of the customers. They tried to charge extra for liftgate that was already included in the original quotation. When that didn’t work, they tried to charge additional fees for limited access just fishing for ways to charge extra. Then sent me a link from their website of what was considered limited access and by their definition of limited access, my shipment address did not meet that criteria but charged it anyway and then threatened to charge storage fees if it wasn’t paid. This company is horrible, and I would not be doing business with them again. Believe the reviews.

The communication with our…

The communication with our representative is very poor. The lack of English is frustrating and nothing can be confirmed. I try to ask for a supervisor and they just ignore the request. I have been trying to get our cargo and it has been several days.

Feedback on Delivery Experience

We were extremely disappointed with the service received. The delivery of our 300kg sauna was first promised for Friday, then postponed to Tuesday the following week. After that, we were informed—again with apologies—that our delivery had mistakenly been sent to Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, instead of Gansbaai in the Overberg, Western Cape.

The sauna was eventually delivered on Wednesday, but shockingly in a normal delivery van with only one person to manage a 300kg item, althougfh they promised to send a Tail Lift Truck. Fortunately, three of our farm workers were available to assist, otherwise delivery would not have been possible at all.

Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish, and we cannot recommend this company’s services.

Do not do business with these people

Do not do business with these people. They are stealing from customers. I had a terrible experience with them. Edward asked me to send him the Ignition switch,the Key and the ECU, and it has been 9 months that I heard nothing but B.S from him. As soon as I left a review here
He asked me to remove my review to get my items back.
He even created a fake UPS sticker! And still nothing!!!

Full of mistakes and excessive expenses

Unfortunately the class and service from Ecu Line is long gone.
A recent shipment of mine from Canada to the Philippines went nothing but wrong. The company was quick to provide a quick good price omitting a number of extra charges at the destination and numerous difficulties. In the end a small pallet with a value under $500 of used goods turned out to cost nearly $ 8000.
Receiving help from Ecu Line was almost not there and after numerous emails and after over 4 months(!!!) they finally stepped only to increase costs further. On the positive side the shipment was received after paying more charges. Including hazardous fees, for material that had no hazardous content.
When trying to connect with Ecu Worldwide in the Philippines you get nothing in response. Dealing with Ecu Line? Never ever again. Luckily there are better and more professional alternatives.
DO NOT USE THESE INDIVIDUALS

definitively one of the worst forwarders worldwide

I'm actually totally surprised that a company with such abysmal service has been able to survive for so long. We have had the same experiences in different countries for years:
- Inflexible staff, communication so cumbersome and inefficient.
- Confirmed pick-up dates are simply not kept. No information.
- Apologies, compensation, acceptance of liability: absolutely none of the above.
If you read through the weeks of email correspondence, you get the feeling that there's a hidden camera. Every day again the same questions and mistakes over and over.
Simply irresponsible, unprofessional, bumbling – never again with ECU Lines.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Lost my case sent by Pack & Send Twickenham and refused to help me whatsoever. I will be pursuing this matter in court if necessary but please trust me when I say that this company is not to be trusted and is run by unhelpful, incompetent, and borderline malicious individuals.

I run an e-commerce business

I run an e-commerce business, and reliable logistics are crucial for my success.

Their team is incredibly attentive and responsive. I had a specific delivery requirement that involved tight deadlines, and they managed to meet all my expectations. The real-time tracking system they offer is a game-changer, giving both me and my customers peace of mind.

What impressed me the most was their commitment to resolving any issues swiftly. When a minor hiccup occurred during one of my shipments, the team addressed it immediately and kept me informed throughout the resolution process. This level of service is rare and greatly appreciated.

The absolutely worst company you could…

The absolutely worst company you could ever deal with if you were dealing with any overseas companies and they are shipping something to you and they mentioned we're going to use ECU worldwide find another company to deal with they are horrible they hold your product for ransom just like a child until you just keep paying money after money after money fee after fee and rude rude employees. Do not under any circumstances use this company you will regret it and you will be out an extra 5 or $6,000

If I could give it 0 stars I would

If I could give it 0 stars I would, Horrible company and avoid using them at all cost. Scammers who scammed me out of $3500 on a lcl small food truck. Could explain the itemized bill and kept sending more invoices without explanation. Wendy is working with my shipment and have yet to speak with her on the phone been calling for weeks!!! This is a nightmare and I don’t see how they are still in business.
