Update after reading response to review: the backstory is a scam or at least misleading, Eco Wood Wear is not a Danish company that has been around for a long time as suggested by the description. The photos used are all AI generated, the photos of actual storefronts are fake, there are no Eco Wood Wear stores in Denmark at all, and I doubt there is actually a founder named Ben. The description on the website that each watch is "crafted" from sustainable wood is a gross overstatement as minimal wood is used in the watch, it is mostly plastic, fabricated in and shipped from China. There is nothing wrong with Chinese cheap watches, but don't pretend to be a high end European brand just to scam people out of a couple hundred dollars.

Original review: The watch (Sentinel Brown) looks cool and unique and comes in a nice wooden box, but the watch feels very cheap and plasticky. Doesn't feel (or weigh) like real wood at all. Also, the website says it's a Danish company, but it's all AI generated pictures and the watches actually come from China. I think the whole website and company backstory is a scam. I hope the watch will work well over time (I just received it)

I ordered the Arbore Blue watch and Mystic Sky bracelet. They surpass all my expectations, color is perfect. Love the gift boxes.

The people behind this company are wonderful humans who absolutely go out of their way to ensure you receive a beautiful, handcrafted product. Plus they have the patience of saints!

Delivery took a little longer than expected but it is just before Christmas so not a problem. and omg it looks stunning both the watch and box my son will love this on his birthday now to choose one for son number 2 would 1000% recommend to anyone

Update 04/12 - The watch arrived and my worries were entirely unfounded. I ordered the Abore Blue and it's a great looking watch, the blue and the wood compliment each other incredibly well and it has a nice weight to it too.

It also comes in a very nice solid feeling two tone wooden box with brass fittings. I would definitely recommend them if you're on the lookout for a wooden watch.

The site says the company started in Denmark, has a nice photo of a shopfront and offers free shipping. I recently received my order and shipping confirmation and it's being shipped from china of which there is no mention of on their site.

I'll update this review when my watch arrives to say if it matches what they claim to be selling or is just overpriced Chinese junk.

The watch was delivered as advertised. It is an unique and beautiful watch. It took some care for me to adjust the band using the simple tool that came with it but once I got the hang of it, adjusting the band was easy.
I was a bit concerned ordering a watch from overseas as this was my first time. But I was relieved when they contacted me and ensured that I can track the delivery process.
Because it is made of wood, I wondered how it would fare when exposed to water. I was careful that I did not shower with it on or go swimming etc. But when I was washing my dishes (with care) where the watch was never submerged, even this action caused the watch to condense under the watch case. The condensation would not go away. I emailed Ecowoodwear and Ben immediately responded back.
After a bit of back and forth with them trying to understand how I used the watch along with a photo of the damaged watch, they sent me a replacement watch. Now, that is great service! They are a legit company with great customer service. I would buy from them again.
But these wooden watches are not meant to be exposed to water, so even walking in the rain or light washing dishes can be damaging to the watch so extreme care needs to be taken when wearing the watch. Just think of it as a piece of art work that you don't want to expose with water and you should be fine.

Unfortunately I had to contact Ben about the engraving on the bracelet I ordered. Emails were answered promptly and politely and a new bracelet has arrived with the correct engraving. The bracelets are so beautiful and I would definitely recommend this company.
Sometimes things happen but the mark of a good company is how they handle issues like this. They were so apologetic and sent us our new bracelet quickly and without any fuss. Thank you Ben and Emma 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
