Breach of guidelines
Really gone downhill
I've been with Eco for several years now and have been happy. Support tickets were responded to quickly and issues dealt with the same day in most cases. As a website designer I decided to upgrade to the 'reseller hosting' so I could offer hosting with my design services to my clients.
Earlier this year Eco moved to a different platform (I'm assuming Eco themselves are resellers of another host) and the dashboard completely changed. I have lost access to everything I need to provide hosting services to my clients. A client needed me to resend her cpanel login details. Previously, I'd have logged in, gone to the reseller section, found her domain and click the 'resend login details' button. That option is no longer there, indeed the entire reseller section of my dashboard is completely missing! I can't resend emails, I can't do anything.
I opened a support ticket about this and they re-sent the login to my client. OK, great but the initial agent I spoke to didn't seem to understand the issue (I believe this agent is for the top tier company not from Eco themselves). It was only when I pointed out that I was paying for a service that I wasn't getting, did one of the familiar support names came back and told me 'we're aware of the issue and are working on a fix but don't know when' - months later and I still can't access the reseller settings I'm paying for.
I'm now in the process of looking for a better hosting company and won't continue with Eco, it's a shame because I like to support local companies but it's a nightmare trying to achieve anything through their platform now.
Contacting Customer Services is Impossible
I have been locked out of my hosting account for two weeks. The password reset link on their website is not working, I can't access the chat help without logging in, I have tried emailing the sales team but my emailed bounced, I have tried the contact form on their website twice and had no response, and have tried to ring ten plus times but am unable to get through. I can only assume Eco Web Hosting are no longer trading and just haven't admitted it yet.
Update 2/9/24: I received an email this weekend saying I have two outstanding invoices. It transpires Eco Web Hosting have been taken over by/merged with Host Presto and it appears the downtime occurred while they transitioned services. I am still disgusted at the lack of communication and the disruption to my services, and I have now moved to another host, but to anyone reading this it is only fair to state that the disruption may have been a temporary situation during migration.

Horrible support. Deleted DNS and Nameserver Records without Permission. Management is terrible.
Eco Hosting have been great
Eco Hosting have been great for setting up my new business website domain and email account. Their system has been easy to use (for a non tech person!) and they have a prompt turnaround on their online support tickets.
Abysmal - Stay clear of this company
We use Enix LTD for our email hosting.
Have had nothing but issues with their services since we joined them several years ago. We're regularly logged out of our email accounts for no reason, emails often take a long time to come though (or don't come through at all if using a tablet/ phone) and their is no 2FA!
Their customer service is shocking and if often takes hours to get a hold of someone as their phone lines don't work. When you do eventually get a hold of someone they make excuses as to why the services/ products they offer don't work properly.
Stay well clear of this company as the products/ services they offer are not worth the stress.
Good system to use and excellent support
Quick and easy to sign up to transfer a website and domain from another host. There were a couple of background technical issues which caused problems but the support team were very good at responing to queries and they worked through various solutions until they were resolved. Everything is now working correctly and the management system is well deserved gn and easy to use. Overall very pleased.
