Didn’t even want to give 1star!!!

Didn’t even want to give 1star!!!
Will never use ebay again!
An order wasn’t received and proof of delivery showed a delivery address I don’t know, but certainly wasn’t mine!
So!!!! Because they have a photo of delivery that Evri had provided, they ate refusing to refund me!
Apparently the money back guarantee is if you don’t receive your parcel! But as long as there is a photo of anywhere in the world, then you don’t get a refund be cause they have proof you have recieved it!!!!! So angry! Money down the drain!

Ebay less than helpful. Not even 1 star.

Ebay not helpful.
- 'only able to help if product fails in 30 days after purchase'.
In my case I purchased a mobile phone battery which failed after five months (when is should have lasted 2 - 3 years).
- seller did not reply to three messages
- ebay sent me to a link to report seller - which did not exist (presumably taken down after the 30 days).
- link to rate seller also not available.
- no refund. bye bye £15.
Not happy. Poor service, frankly Ebay should be more helpful to customer, and in enforcing fair selling.

eBay is very disappointing

eBay used to be the go to but since they switched the bulk of their courier service to the failing provider Evri, couple with a ridiculously difficult communication portal and even more poor customer service team driven by autobot AI and generic automated emails, it is no wonder people are turning away from using the platform - I would not recommend

I DON'T KNOW REALLY WHAT TO MAKE OF…

I DON'T KNOW REALLY WHAT TO MAKE OF EBAY.
I have been regular user of ebay for over ten years on my new account.
I normally buy items. However, just recently I auctioned a Samsung galaxy z flip 3 5g 256gb mobile phone which sold for less than £80.
Tried to print the ebay postage label which sadly had my old address on it for returns if the buyer wished to return. Was informed to take item to post office and send to the auction winner for next day delivery. Was informed to then upload a copy of posting to the auction winner with the tracking number. Was informed by ebay that once this was done and the auction winner confirmed he had received the mobile phone which he kindly did confirm, then I would receive my winning funds and my postage costs. Sadly the funds and postage costs were not fourthcoming from ebay and I had to keep ringing them for two days to try and get my funds. I was then informed I would have to complete a form to have my postage costs reimburse to me which will take two weeks to get and have to now wait for there postage team on ebay to contact me. Regarding my winning funds, that's a different matter. 3 days after the auction winner had received the mobile phone. Ebay have only just put my winning funds into payment and i am still waiting for my funds to this day which is now day 4. This is after giving me wrong information on my funds 3 days prior. Its extremely frustrating having to chase after your money with ebay which they should automatically sort out. I can see why many sellers are finding other platforms to sell their items on. Ebay has sadly got worse over the years. Be very careful selling on ebay.

Ebay is not what it used to be-Its gone to the dog

Ebay is not what it used to be. Poor quality stuff, not cheap. However after 2 years I decided to log in again
It first asked to send code to my mobile , then asked me to verify I am human, then it asked me to take picture of my document which wasn't in my hand (I wasn't at home) but had a picture of it on my mobile but it does not give option to upload
Went home took picture of my document as they asked, then they said it will take few hours for them to email me and verify
Never back to eBay. Utter customer frusteration

whoever designed ebay verification system, surely wanted to do harm to eBay business and deter customer. Let ebay go to the dog

EBay is dying.

I used to sell quite well on EBay and then about 2022 about time they started trying to make extra money for so called “promotion” and “buyer protection” frees in addition to their commission they started dying. Very few views ridiculous bids for. items of real value.

Scammers have an easy time on eBay because customer service is a joke. No humans involved.

I’ve moved business to a great little online auction run by humans with great personal service. Bye bye Ebay!

Withheld funds for over a month

I rarely ever leave reviews but the service provided by eBay is terrible. I have had an account with eBay for a long time but never bought or sold anything.

Recently I decided to sell something which sold reasonably quick.

A day or two after this item sold my account was permanently suspended. After having to phone eBay they told me that they would not tell me why I have been suspended and that I will not be able to be reinstated.

They have now withheld the funds from the item I sold for over a month without any communication on when they would be sending me the money.

Good selling site but some issues

I've sold a few things over the years and mainly everything works as it should.
I've given 3 stars because-
They recommend items that I'm not even slightly interested in and not even in my size
They don't tell you properly the number of views of what you're selling. I've had one item on the mobile site which has shown the number of views has gone from 6 to 3. This doesn't make sense and it means you don't actually know if there's any interest in your items.
They constantly try to get me to -reduce the prices, pay to promote listings, offer free postage and accept people coming to my door to collect what I'm selling.
The only reason I still sell on here is that vinted have a ridiculous policy where if someone can't be bothered to collect your sale, they return it to you and the seller gets their postage refunded.
It encourages time wasters.
At least with ebay if they don't collect their parcel they lose the postage.

What has happened to EBay

What has happened to EBay ? Their service is appalling and no one ever gets back to you when there is an issue except when they call at 1.15 in the morning and then put the phone back down !!
Recently sold a number of items and can’t get my funds released as the withdraw button is inactive. They were supposed to fix the issue but a week later I have not heard a word from them.
Now an item I’ve sold and has been marked as delivered and positive feedback received from the buyer however payment is on hold until March 11th as they “ apparently “ have an issue with the postcode I sent the item to ! This is not an issue I can see on my account but fortunately for them they can now hold my funds for another two weeks.Imagine the interest they must be earning on our held funds
Will think twice before using them again.

Account blocked as wording was wrong

I've had an account for some time, purchased quite a few items, and sold a few, I put up for sale 2 collectable flintlock pistols, not real firearms just reproductions, and my account was blocked, as I seem to have not put the right wording, no warning nothing, what a way to treat long standing customers

Sellers have no help from Ebay.

I've been buying and selling on Ebay for over 20 years , it's changed a lot in that time but for the most part all has been well, However, I can't fathom why a seller can not leave negative feedback for a buyer that has deliberately bid on an item, won said item and then doesn't bother to pay?

Ebay should allow the seller to contact their customer service team and get Ebay to at least block the buyers account as ultimately, Ebay claims that once you've bid on an item then you are entering a formal contract with the seller.

It all seems a bit upside down as let's face it, as a seller you have to abide by posting the item once it's sold by a certain date, the item has to be appropriately packed etc and you're at the mercy of the buyer and if he/she are unscrupulous then they can do and say what they want.

I had this last month where I sent an item perfectly wrapped, the seller claimed it arrived damaged, they get a refund and got to keep the item...unbelievable!!

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking
I’ve just started selling on e bay and all was fine
However I had an issue where an item was recieved by my buyer 12 days ago- he left positive feedback back, messaged to say thanks for the item- I have a tracking no but eBay refuses to acknowledge its delivery and won’t free up my money
I emailed and had one reply over ten days and they are not even acknowledging that I want to raise a grievance
Atrocious

Buyer protection not fit for purpose

Seller showed me the item was damaged and I couldn't collect, but because of the confusing situation eBay has brought in with selling fees, he didn't want to refund these fees out of his account. I had to open an item not received case which is supposed to be resolved in 2 days but took over a week with no response. After chasing customer service agents that barely speak English I finally got an email to say they were closing the case in my favour and refunding me but a week later the case is still pending and still no refund. I've now had to open a case with American express to get a refund. Buyer protection is non-existent. Having nearly £6000 sat on my credit card for 3 weeks with no resolution is not acceptable
