I have used ebay for many years as a lot of you have i am sure. As a behavioral architect, i must say, their site backend is horrid. The front end is polished because that's all they care about, get... See more

Avoid crooked ebay
Some sellers on ebay have the privilage that negative feedback left against them will be removed immediately not to tarnish their lies, not sending out items selling fake components especially semiconductors etc etc. That's what's likely to happen to you when you buy from Birgit Loeffelholz of Darisus GmbH !!! Avoid this Crook

After using Ebay for 10 years with many transactions - I now can't log in. They serve up some crap about having to do a live checks because I'm using a different account..What!!!!. totally untrue, just more of their incompetence. We are done Ebay...totally sick of your company in every regard. Go away.
Horrible experience
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with eBay.
My account was permanently suspended without any clear explanation or specific reason. I was simply informed that I allegedly pose a “risk to the community,” without being given any details, evidence, or a meaningful opportunity to respond.
This level of lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. I have never encountered such an unprofessional approach from any major online platform. Instead of proper communication or fair review, I received a generic, copy-paste response that does not explain anything.
As a user, I expect basic fairness and respect. What I experienced was the complete opposite.
Based on this situation, I cannot recommend eBay to anyone. The handling of my account feels arbitrary and unprofessional, and I am deeply disappointed with the way I was treated.
I will not be using this platform again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.
I have had an eBay account for the last 2.5 years
I have had an eBay account for the last 2 1/2 years, the last year eBay has been nothing but a royal pain and today I learned that out of nowhere somebody in eBay suspended my account and they are now withholding my money from sales and will not tell me why, they are refusing to tell me why my account was suspended and why I cannot get my money. More than $300 in limbo that I’m pretty sure somebody at eBay is pocketing.
eBay's claim policies are effectively meaningless
I purchased a used iPhone 17 on eBay for $799.14 (Order No. 21-14664-74771; FedEx Tracking No. 381580460032). I provided a complete delivery address, including my phone number, suite/unit number (11G03), company name, and recipient name (YU CHEN). On May 29, 2026, the tracking information indicated the package had been delivered, with FedEx records showing the signer as "L.Lo." However, "L.Lo" is not my name, nor is it my signature; in fact, I never received the package. There are only three people in our company—including the boss—and usually, only another employee and I are in the office. None of us are named "L.Lo," and none of us signed for the package. In reality, I was present at the office during the days surrounding the reported delivery, yet no courier asked for a signature, nor did I receive any phone calls or text messages.
I subsequently filed a complaint with FedEx stating that the package had not been received, but they closed the case without any response. When I tried to file a complaint again, I encountered various issues: claims of input errors, temporary network problems, or notifications that a complaint already existed (since the first one had been arbitrarily closed and could not be reopened). In short, I was unable to submit a second complaint. It is despicable for a major corporation like FedEx to deliberately create obstacles for online complaints.
I called FedEx to request a refund, but they refused. I also filed a complaint against FedEx with the BBB, yet nearly a month has passed without a resolution. FedEx told me to contact the seller, while the seller told me to contact FedEx. Later, I complained to eBay, but they refused to issue a refund, citing FedEx's proof of delivery. FedEx, the seller, and eBay have all passed the buck, leaving me without a refund to this day. eBay's claim policies are effectively meaningless, and buyer rights are not protected at all.
My monthly income is only 3,000 yuan; after deducting rent and living expenses, I have very little money left. I live a difficult life—otherwise, I wouldn't have resorted to buying a used iPhone 17 on eBay. I find it absolutely shocking that something like this could happen. A courier can simply scribble a random name—not the recipient's—and claim the package has been delivered; where does that leave the recipient's rights? Doesn't this effectively allow couriers to steal recipients' items with impunity?
If FedEx thinks I am being unreasonable or trying to fraudulently claim compensation, I welcome them to conduct a handwriting analysis. Yes, I am waiting for them to compare my handwriting with that "L.Lo" signature to see who actually signed it. That will prove once and for all whether I am telling the truth.
I wonder how many others have experienced the same thing—couriers casually signing for packages and then stealing the contents. If we remain silent about this, we are essentially condoning such misconduct. I will continue to speak out on various platforms, hoping to raise awareness of this issue.
Customer service is worthless.
Had an unauthorized purchase on my card from ebay. I dont use ebay. My bank said to call ebay since the charge is still pending. Ebay's A.I. assistant hangup on me twice and then want to change my account details when I said fraud or agent.
eBay Keeps Removing Compliant Listings under SINGE USE PLASTIC when BIODEGRADABLE
⭐ 1 Star – eBay Keeps Removing Compliant Listings
I have been selling on eBay for years, but recently I've had multiple listings removed under eBay's Single-Use Plastic Products Policy despite the products containing no plastic whatsoever.
The products are biodegradable paper confetti cannons. The manufacturer confirms they contain biodegradable tissue paper, the packaging clearly states "Contains multicoloured tissue paper" and "Biodegradable", and independent testing supports this.
Despite providing evidence and appealing the removals, eBay continues to reject appeals with generic template responses that simply repeat the policy without explaining how a plastic-free product breaches a single-use plastic policy.
In one case, an eBay representative initially claimed the product contained plastic components, only to later admit they had reviewed the wrong product and that the item was actually plastic-free. Despite this admission, listings continue to be removed.
The most frustrating part is the apparent lack of meaningful human review. Decisions appear to be driven by automated systems flagging keywords rather than assessing the actual facts.
Sellers deserve better than automated enforcement, generic responses and repeated wrongful removals of compliant listings.
Very disappointing.
DO NOT ORDER FROM CHINESE SELLERS ON EBAY
Absolutely do not order from Chinese sellers on Ebay. Ebay supports Jia Packet scam. You will not get your money back and they will support the vendor since the shipment indicates delivered and the item is under 700$ CAD so they dont require the vendor to provide or use tracking (they wont even try to figure out what is happening since its not above that price). This is a scam used by Chinese sellers on Ebay (they will use any loophole they can find even if its only to make a cew dollars), they change the tracking midway for Jia Packet shipment and it shows its delivered to your house but it never will be delivered.
The part that really gets me pissed off is they will 100% protect the vendor and not the seller. I will never buy on Ebay again.
eBay is the worst
eBay is the worst and every time I try to buy something from them advertising something from my car they only want to give me a $10 credit and not the full refund. Be careful. Make sure you know your part order numbers because they don't want to give you your money back it's the worst scam ever. Literally never used the parts and return and then want to debate with me about the refund
Everything is fraud
Everything is fraud, they allow the Chinese to continually rob buyers of their money and the purchase, 2 to 4 days shipping is a total lie, they have stole my money twice and did not ship anything first was for 30$ 2nd was for over a 100$ they have this set-up where they come off as being in the usa, nope, some undisclosed bamboo hut in china unbelievable I closed my account, good riddance eBay I hope the IRS closes you down forever, Bill Tatro
Simply dreadful - I've quit eBay after 20 years
I've quit eBay after 20 years as a member.
This was not a dispute about a refund.
eBay ultimately refunded me.
Nor was it a dispute about a courier delay.
My concern is what happened afterwards.
I left negative feedback for a seller based on their hostile communication and disinterested customer service.
When I contacted them for assistance on an item that had not arrived, after 3 different delivery dates had come and passed, I was told: "That's what you pay your buyer protection fee for" and was directed to make a claim through eBay.
I found the response dismissive and reflected that honestly in my feedback.
My feedback stated:
"Customer service was disappointing. When I raised concerns about my order, the seller's response was: 'That's what you pay your buyer protection fee for', rather than offering any support or assistance. I was then referred directly to eBay's claim process. The communication felt disinterested and dismissive and, from my perspective, showed little concern for customer service."
The feedback did not mention Evri, delivery delays, tracking, postage, or courier performance.
Despite this, the feedback was removed under a delivery-related policy.
I then spent hours trying to understand why.
Different eBay agents gave conflicting explanations.
Some stated the removal was automatic.
Others admitted they could not see the reason for removal.
None could clearly explain how feedback about seller communication had become feedback about delivery and none could explain the feedback policy correctly.
Most concerning of all was discovering that a secret, internal "extortion" warning had apparently been associated with my account in this matter.
To be clear: I never threatened the seller, sought concessions, or attempted to manipulate feedback. I simply left an honest account of my experience as a buyer.
What has damaged my confidence is not the original transaction.
It is the apparent inability of eBay's systems and support teams to distinguish between feedback about a seller's conduct and feedback about a courier issue.
If honest feedback about customer service can be removed because the underlying transaction involved a delivery problem, then what confidence can buyers have that seller feedback accurately reflects real experiences?
And if leaving negative feedback is now flagged secretly as 'extortion' then the eBay platform is doomed - and the sheer number of one star reviews here seem to reflect that trend.
I sold a jacket on Ebay over 10 days…
I sold a jacket on Ebay over 10 days ago and delivered to the buyer who paid over $600. EBAY is HOLDING MY MONEY FOR ANOTHER 10 days, apparently it is EBAYs policy to hold funds for 30 days, WARNING, SELL YOUR GOODS ELSEWHERE!!!!
Magically
Magically, my money was gone after I made a purchase through PayPal from eBay. No tracking information, no nothing. Just my money gone. Middle finger to

MC999- Banned for life? Is this Real?
Bought something on ebay (with buy it now) and immediately got an email saying my account is suspended permanently. I've never had a bad review. I found a way to have customer service do a call back, because I was genuinely confused what I could have done wrong. I was told by the customer service agent "Let me explain it to you in a way that you will understand, we do not want you selling on our platform anymore." I told him I had never sold anything, just purchases, and always paid immediately with the buy it now option. He said there are a variety of reasons we suspend accounts, and hung up the phone. Very bizarre for a company to have A.I. banning people who have a history of very simple transactions, and no customer service to help. Curious how many people this happens too, and what ebay's future is getting rid of good customers...
Impossible to speak to customer service any more…
I used my iPad to make the order. eBay sent me to the PayPal site to make the payment.
As I was making the payment I noticed that eBay was using my old address for shipping.
Pop up told me I could correct after paying and would be sent back to eBay to review my order before submitting the order. I hit the pay button but Instead of going back to my order, I got a “Thank you for your order” notification. No way to get back to the order to correct the address. Immediately tried to contact both EBay and seller. No response from either ever. After many frustrating hours trying to speak to someone, I finally found the current tenant of my old address. Fortunately, she was kind enough to agree to text me when the package was delivered. Order was delivered to her on time and was what I ordered.
Refund (Yeah, right)!
Purchased 6 pairs of shades four of which the only had the other two I was notified that they no longer had they only could offer me a quantity of four. I accepted that and asked that I'd be refunded the other two that they no longer had available. I received a refund for one pair. They told me I would have to contact eBay for the additional refund of the other shade. With all attempts of contacting eBay whether it be verbal or manual or any other avenue it just didn't work I could write and write but where do you send it it does not send it doesn't get to them so it's frustrating and it appears that this issue with refunds to buyers happens to frequently which I can only imagine would be in the millions of dollars in profit for this type of action to "somebody". There is so many third-party shadow partners that it leads you through a maze of deterrence. I do not recommend purchasing through eBay as you are gambling with your own money.
Ebay does not back up your purchase, like they say
Order the product that did not show up requested. They send it, they said they did, so. They weren't gonna give me my money back or send the product again. I sent it to ebay, they said they're siding with the manufacturer, and I don't get my money or the product I get to go without even though ebay says they back up their customers
As I was speaking to an agent
As I was speaking to an agent, he was very rude. I asked for a supervisor he put me on hold for a long time when he got back to me. He said that it wasn’t a manager available that they will have to call me back. This is the most unprofessional site. They have no customer satisfaction on their mind. I will not recommend this site. There is other sites that are more about customer satisfaction, and making sure you get what you pay for.
Allow fraudulent sales and reward scammers for it.
I purchased an item from a buyer on eBay which turned out to be the worst fake of a cologne I know I have ever smelled. I went through the process of returning a the item. Getting a return shipping label which would not show up on the link sent to me. Spent hours looking for a phone number to call. Never did find one on the eBay site. Googled it and found one many hours later. Got the shipping label printed it out and brought it to usps which was they paid for. 12 days later the item still didn’t make it to California from Wisconsin. It made 20 stops at least on the way. I called eBay on the deadline day which they set just to make sure everything was going to be ok. They told me it would be fine because it was postmarked nearly two weeks prior. A week later I received an email stating that they denied my refund because the item didn’t arrive on time even though I called them to tell them that the shipping they paid for was the slowest possible shipping on the planet. I’m out $50 and the seller got their fake cologne back so they can sell it to another person on their platform.
