It is a shame a customer trying to contact the insurance company to general quieres for 5 days and have no answers and no help. This is the worst experience with customer service ever!

Worst service I have ever received "HELP NEEDED"

Small bet with you! Try contacting this company anyone in the company will do but I bet you will not get them (Do they exist) I have a real issue I need to get addressed namely they cancelled my policy which I paid in full but have not been refunded (policy was one week old) and e-mail bounce back NO ONE EVER ANSWERES THE PHONE. Really don't waste your time with these jokers I think its time for trading standards.

easy insure need to think about changing there name!!!

Purchased insurance of easyinsure about 45 days ago 2 days later my car packed in, so I had to purchase a new car. so called easyinsure to change the vehichle on the insurance, was told that I couldnot do this without my driving licence. I had just moved house and my licence was away to get my address updated. was told that there was nothing they could do, and that I would have to take out anew insurance policy, so I did that with another company they didn't even ask for my driving license. so then all I needed was my money back. was told it would take upto 45 days to get my money back. so here we are 45 days later and still no £300, have been on chatting to them on various occasions, what a waste of time. so infact easyinsure is not what the name suggests!!! I know they will never get a penny from me again. plus staff really need some training, as every person I spoke with said something different!!!!

Hi Stephen, unfortunately we are unable to process any changes to an insurance policy until all requested documents have been returned. The time frame which we advise of for returns of monies is outlined on our Terms of Business which can be viewed at any time prior to inception or during a policy from our website. In Northern Ireland this can take up to 45 working days as we must receive the payment from the insurance company before this can be refunded back to the client. I apologise for any inconvenience this issue may have caused, unfortunately we have no control over this.

Kind regards

Richard

easy peasy

Easy to deal with online. Great to have documents held online. Comprehensive coverage with lots of add-ons that my old policy didn't cover.

Happy to insure with them for another year...

I was a bit worried after reading other reviews but thankfully got to speak to someone after my third phone call. I waited about 20 minutes first two times then hung up. They were able reduce my renewal price with very little pushing... hopefully I'll not need to find out how good they are at processing a claim!

They make an effort to work with the price

It does take allot of time to reach them by phone. The live chat on-line though seems prompt enough. I was given my renewal price recently which i was impressed with. I called them on the phone and they worked with me. I'm happy enough for the cover i get for the price. I'm guessing if they had more people to answer calls and on-line support the prices might be a little higher.

I have been with this company for almost 4 years. Things seemed fine until I needed to make change. The level of customer service it appalling, they definitely need re traineach and everyone of the staff! I made 6 phones each time holding for a minimum of 15 mins. I will definitely be changing my insurance at renewal. This company is AWFUL

terrible

Insured over the web, seemed ok. Asked for proof of no claims bonus, which previous insurer said not a problem. Then asked for more and more info. I tried to phone.........14 calls, all on hold for at least 20mins.
E-mail not answered. Call again and again. no answer, decided to cancel insurance since I could not talk to a human being. Not as easy insure as it sounds.............sent 2 letters to coleraine. I insured a week early, so I was able to go back to my old insurer thank god. Will I get my money refunded ? dont hold your breath. I am sure that no one actually exisits to answer the phone. They say its a high volume of calls. Well..I phoned at 10.30 in the evening....same result !!

Not if it was the last insurance company on earth!!! AVOID! 0 Stars

So have been insured with McClartys/Easyinsure for over 10 years and changing my vehicle to a new 2015 model - everything the same as my last car just newer version. Turns out they don't have the model listed - as per same thing two years ago when I first got this model. At that time I was advised to choose the closest option and they made a note to the policy. This time around I naively thought that it would be a simple phone call.

Contacted them online when I first went to change - waited for 4 days for a response by which time I'd purchase the closest model to mine in the hope of someone adding the note as per last time. Finally got a reply to say that they had seen I'd already made the change to the policy but no mention of the correct model being applied. I replied to the email advising of this and wait for a further 7 days before getting an email to phone the office.

Like everyone else, I'm put in a queue for 35 minutes to talk to someone who doesn't have a clue and keeps putting me on hold to talk to a 'superviser'. I'm told that I will have to phone back later when I can tell them the UK equivalent of my model of car - it is a UK car I kept telling them - bought in Northern Ireland from a UK dealer. Also explained that I'd had cover for my last car of exactly the same model, this is just a newer version. Still told no that I would have to phone back when I could come back with the proper information!!! By this stage, I am livid.

Phone the dealer where I bought the car who assures me that I've quoted the correct model. Phone 'Easy insure' (this name just makes me want to laugh hysterically!) where I wait for another 30 minutes to talk to another 'customer service rep' who knows as little as the first one and says that they will phone back. By this time, it's after 5.30 and when they do phone back I'm told that they will have to refer it to their manager and then to the insurance company to see if they will insure me, which could take a couple of days - in the meantime they would strongly advise that I'm not to drive!!!!! They have messed me about for the guts of 2 weeks now so now I'm cancelling my policy - they will prob charge me a cancellation fee etc but at this stage I don't care. I've lost more time and this has stressed me so much that I'd rather go elsewhere. Just keep thinking if I did have an accident or needed them urgently, would I even be able to get to speak to someone about it?

Worst experience ever!!! Before they were 'Easyinsure', McClartys were great to deal with - you got to speak to a person within minutes and they could sort it out. Never thought that I would be writing a bad review about them but I've never experienced worse customer service and have insured cars for 20 years.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

AVOID THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY

I chose this company based on price but regretted it afterwards because of the following:

1. Email response time approx 72 hours.
2. Telephone response time unknown because the phone is NEVER answered.
3. Online chat response time 1.5 hours.
4. Emails are often unread or ignored. I have had to send and resend the same emails over and over again.

Ive wasted a lot of time dealing with this company. They certainly do not deserve the name easy insure !

Suggestion to Easyinsure.co.uk if anyone from their company actually cares, hire one or two experienced managers to look into and resolve these issues right away or you will continue to lose customers and anger your existing customers.

Total disaster - avoid no matter how cheap!!

Hi there. I would be selecting 0 stars if that was an option. I really wish I had read reviews on here before purchasing my car insurance with easy insure...who have the most ironic name you could imagine! They are the exact opposite of easy!

As other reviewers on here have also found, I too have had huge issues with the vast amount of unnecessary documents they have requested since I took this policy. I recently changed address & they have requested I change this on my driving licence. My license is currently with the dvla for the address change and easy insure have written out threatening cancellation of my policy if they don't receive a copy of the updated license...by Christmas eve of all days!! With the Christmas post this is unlikely to be back in time & I have been so upset & distressed with this threat of cancellation. The best they could offer when we pleaded down the phone was to extend the deadline...to Christmas day! Honestly! When we asked if they were open on Christmas Day...they are not. The staff don't seem to have any common sense at all.

The other issues are the difficulty you have in getting to speak to customer services. Long waiting times on hold, staff promising call backs & these not happening & generally unfortunately staff do not seem clued up on anything.

Please please avoid! I will never ever ever use this company again & will be ensuring none of my family or friends do either!

Worst ever. Don't have the option of zero stars

I read them the documentation I had, they advised that is all they need. Then letter came asking for more or insurance would be cancelled. Thus was then given, via previous insurer. Not acceptable, they needed more. They Threatened to cancel again. My wife spoke to a man who said should we send the new required document from previous insurer and he would ensure it was not cancelled. 2 days later a cancellation letter arrived. During all this i spent apprx 30 hours on phone trying to reach company (no one available from customer services). Then when i did get through i was phobed off. Mow have to pay 30% cancellation fee. I am 52 years of age and have never experienced anything like this. Do not use this company, I promise you will regret it. Their staff are polite, but lack training, the left arm does not know what the right does. A truly awful experience, I am seeking legal advice.

Awful service! documentation required is an unessasary burden

There customer service after purchase is awful. Once you have accepted your insurance. They then ask for a whole range of unessasary documents. Which don't as far as I can see add any value or audit security... why the hell do they need "proof of residency" for goodness sake! They have my no claims bonus of 10 years! One can only imagine that they need all this because they are not getting this information in an automated way through shared insurance databases....... My next most expensive quot was £5 extra! Next time I'll be paying the £5 and life will be a hell of a lot easier......!!
