Very disappointed
In the past East Essence was a wonderful option to buy custom sized modest clothing. I was a regular customer for 12+ years. Unfortunately it has changed a lot. The photos are misleading. The fabric is either cheap and sheer or similar to a tent. The garments came balled up and poorly stitched and one wasnt even the correct size. It was shown online to be oversized and flowing. What a receive was a Temu quality, skin tight abomination. Then I was told I would not qualify for return because my order had custom sizes, but I didnt spend 200+ dollars to receive 1 wearable garment. I am so disappointed. If these owners are Muslim I hope they fear Allah ﷻ and offer better products/customer service. I will never give them my business again nor would I recommend anyone else did.

I placed an order on March 11th and never received my package. I sent numerous emails, went to the chat and I called the number on their website only getting a message they were unavailable. I finally get an email April 3rd saying my address is not correct (Their mistake) On their site I reviewed my address which clearly says Altamonte Springs, Fl not Montgomery Texas. I called UPS and I cannot update the address only they can. I will never order from them again the communication is horrible!!!!! A package that was supposed to take 10 days has now been 25 days again with no communication with the company. I guess I have to wait until they decide to answer my email. I received 2 packages from Egypt with this time ordering after March 11th. Unbelievable!!!!!
Missing garments received
I have to think like everything that I said My garments came separately I guess that's why it wasn't answering me but the invoice said that all of them had came I'm so sorry this is the best store ever I would never order from anybody else I've been dealing with them for the since 2017 I never had a problem like that before maybe because I ordered too much at one time thank you East Esene for making it right..

They’re scammers . They don’t take return and no refund. They don’t respond any emails.I have proof I can prove that . Please take a strict action against them. They are selling their cheap quality products. I emailed them right away too many times the day I received my order they didn’t respond. That’s their new technique to take money from people, when it’s about returning something you are not gonna find them . I called couple times nobody answered.
Return is a rip off
I bought 3 items totalling 125.34 including shipping, it arrived late, I wanted to return 1 item .
They want to charge me 45.28 to return 1 item which means i will have paid a total of 170.62.
They will return 36.10 for my 1item however that will mean i have still paid 134.52 for 2 items not 3. So i would pay more to have less items. So i have decided to gift the item that didnt fit to someone else instead of it costing me more for less. Will not shop here again!
My package was sent to wrong address and never received and no refund
I ordered some Abayas and paid $145.00. Got a call from UPS after 3 weeks saying that the address on it is undeliverable due to vacant land, the address was written wrong and sent to a different state. I requested them to send it to my correct address but was not authorized to make changes as per the UPS guy. Called East Essence never answered, emailed multiple times for refund no answer, I never received my order. Horrible customer service, never use this store.
I paid for the "free and easy" returns…
I paid for the "free and easy" returns and then after returning the item, it first of all, was not free. They deducted like $10 from the original purchase price.
And two, it was not easy. It took almost a month to even get the items, then to return it, it took about a month from when it arrived till I actually got the refund. And getting the refund was so hard. They never answer their emails, so I had about 10 unanswered emails. I tried chatting with them and when and if they even reply it is like 2-3 days later. IDK how this company has any business. They are so unprofessional. They literally only gave me a refund because I filed a claim with my bank to get the money back.
Just for a note. I bought these outfits on July 24th and it is now October 7th and I just got the partial refund.
Not the best customer service
Not the best customer service. Shipping process and notification are quite confusing. Sizes are really on large side and return/exchange is terrible. 1st and last time ordering. You can get the same stuff somewhere else with less hassle and frustration

I ordered $250 worth of abayas and pants for Hajj. The quality of every single item was awful. Some fabrics were different than listed while some were fully see through. The order first took forever to arrive to me. I ordered on March 30 and didn't ship until April 11 after I followed up to check the status. I processed the return and shipped the items back on May 2. The items were received on May 9. I followed up May 12, 17, and 23 about the status of my refund and only received it within minutes after asking if I needed to contact the fraud department at my bank. Lo and behold, they didn't refund the full amount (per their own refund receipt) and owe me $60 more. Lesson learned, will never order from here again and advise others to also stay away.
This is terrible and very frustrating
This is terrible and very frustrating, it almost looks like a scam. I saw some review prior saying the quality is good but the shipping might take long. I think thats an understatement. I ordered since May 8th and as am writing this its May 24th and still zero updates. On top of that their phone says this is not their hour of operation no matter the time you call them lol.
Stay away unless you don’t mind spending your money and have no guarantee except just hope!

Terrible Experience – Stay Away from EastEssence
I placed two separate orders with EastEssence and paid extra for their “Easy Refund and Return” option, assuming it would cover return shipping or at least make the return process hassle-free. I was completely wrong. Despite paying for this service, I was still charged an additional $20 when I returned one of the orders in full.
Even worse, from my second order, I returned 3 items totaling $104 — and never received any refund at all. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times via email, phone, and live chat, and have received no response whatsoever.
Their customer service is non-existent, and their refund policy is misleading at best — dishonest at worst. It feels like a scam, and I regret trusting them with my money. I strongly recommend avoiding EastEssence. Spend your money elsewhere with a company that values its customers.

My experience with East Essence was phenomenal. No complaints whatsoever. They took about a week to get my garments ready to ship, but it was tailored to my specifications and the quality was top notch. Once it shipped, it came from India to London to the US in two days. I can't complain about that. The fact that I can find this type of clothing in plus sizes that is actually perfectly sized is amazing.

I’ve now made two orders from East Essence and both have been great. I love that I can choose the length of the garments at purchase. The sizing is spot on! I had a shipping issue with this second order, UPS, did not deliver correctly. I contacted East Essence customer support and was grateful that they replied quickly to help. My package was delivered the next day. I will certainly order more from this company. If you’ve had issues in the past, maybe give them another try. ~Tay
You'll Never Get A Refund
I bought a few items. A long time passed and it didn't ship, so I emailed them. I got a shipping notification and tracking number right after but no message or apology. I did a return and shipped everything back within a week. Two months later, I hadn't heard back about my return. My return tracking number showed it had been delivered shortly after I shipped the return, and it had been signed for by someone. I emailed them asking what was going on an then filed a dispute, anticipating a problem. When they finally got back to me about my return, they told me to cancel the dispute and then, and only then, would they issue the refund. Nowhere did they apologize. Of course, I refused because they had already shown their colors. The dispute took a month. Three months after I returned my items, I got my money back when my bank sided with me.
Horrendous delivery and awful communication
Dress was nice but whole experience was let down by the awful delivery service and lack of communication from EastEssence, takes them upwards of a week or 2, to respond to queries. Dispatch of my items took 3 weeks and several emails later. Delivered to the wrong address, then was given the runaround by DHL to retrieve the package.Inconsistent messages on DHLs tracking service resulted in wasted days of waiting for parcel that never arrives on the date shown on tracking. Took further 2 weeks of phone calls and emails before receiving package.
Customer service much improved!
I initially had issues some issues with an order I made in April 2024. They reached out to me with an explaination and support. I feel better about ordering from them again. Thank you for the much improved customer service!
Horrible Customer Service
I ordered from them (after a delay from them) and wanted to return immediately after receiving the items. They sent a color I didn't choose. It was nothing like the pictures. When you click on different colors, the item won't show. Russian Roulette. I emailed and emailed and emailed customer service. When I finally got a response, I mailed it back within the 30 day period. Why should I have to pay for their blunder? Ordered in March for Eid, it was late. It arrived after Eid. Sent it back. Guess what? Noone signed for it. It was just returned to me on May 23, 2024 after a month of sitting. What kind of Muslim behavior is this!?!?So I will try again for customer service. I will NEVERRRRRR order from them again!!
