I have been waiting 6 days for my power…
I have been waiting 6 days for my power to be turned on no one has come here. Yesterday they made me stay home I get free from work and then at 20:30 I get a text saying they have made an appointment for Friday saying I have to be there and if not I pay for letting them be here. So I have to miss 2 days of work this is really the worst company ever don’t even understand how big providers work with them it’s ridiculous.
Poor service and support
Constant power outages, some lasting hours and damaging equipment. No compensation nor noticeable improvement after years of complaints/reports. Spams you with unsolicited e-mails.
Terrible xenophobic company - Avoid at all costs
Terrible company. Over five days we were left without power due to a fault, and dealing with E-Redes turned a bad situation into a nightmare. We reported the outage and were told an engineer would attend within 4 hours, twice, and on both occasions nobody turned up. With no electricity for days, we repeatedly chased for updates and got vague responses, no clear timeframe, and zero ownership of the issue.
The worst part was the attitude. Phone support escalated the stress by telling us we were lying about having reported the power cut, purely because their system didn’t reflect it. Accusing customers of dishonesty instead of checking call logs or taking responsibility is unacceptable, especially when you’re dealing with an essential service.
When an engineer finally arrived, he initially spoke to me in English, then switched to Portuguese and refused to continue in English because he assumed I “live here” and therefore “should” speak Portuguese, only switching back once I explained I was here for two weeks. That’s not just unprofessional, it’s discriminatory and completely inappropriate. Overall: missed visits, no accountability, and a culture of contempt for customers. Avoid if you have any choice.
Three times no show
Today is the third time I spend a morning waiting for an engineer of E-Redes that does NOT show up. No phone call to inform me. I have to specially come here as I do not live here myself. They request the visit then do not show up. No sorry or whatsoever.
After they make a new appointment and they do not show up again. No phone call again. Then a SMS with a new date for July 28th 2025 and they let me wait for nothing again.
Also I have 2 meters in this house, one on the first and one the second floor and it is not possible to do that in one appointment. Even when I mention I have to drive 30 minutes to get there.
I really do not understand this way of treating customers.
Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company. They contacted me to arrange a time to attend to carry out work on my electric meter. They said they attended twice but got no reply although we were at home and they did not visit. The next three times they attempted to find our property but could not, although they fitted the meter only months before. We then get an e mail offering 20€ compensation as they didnt have an engineer. Total shambles and very stressful. They have threatened to cut our power off, even though its been totally their fault. No idea how to resolve this
Three years of random short power cuts with no action.
I live in a new house constructed in 2022. For three years I have been suffering from random short power outages that happen throughout the year with no warning. In spite of my many calls, and even "complaint book" actions, this company has failed to improve the situation. The surge when the power comes back after cuts has already fried the circuitry of my washing machine. I've returned from holiday to find my fridge freezer full of rotting food due to another power surge which tripped my mainboard. Nothing I say or do makes any difference to them. It's like receiving a shrug and a smile while I continue to pay huge electricity bills per month. I don't know how Portuguese people tolerate it.
Quite possibly the worst company I have…
Quite possibly the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Having paid them over €2000 to be connected to the electricity grid, there has been nothing but complaints. They refuse to give me my information and they break data laws by not supplying me with personal information I am legally entitled to.. my request is already 60 days late and they have not contacted me to explain why.
