I hope this reaches out to everyone

I hope this reaches out to everyone. I’m honestly shocked at how Dynamo Cover has treated me.
I’ve never felt so dismissed by a company I trusted. My car was damaged beyond use by my local garage I kept Dynamo fully updated, and eventually sold the vehicle to the same garage after months of stress and positive legal response. It was one of the most exhausting experiences I’ve had.
And just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, Dynamo auto‑renewed my breakdown cover for £81 on a car I didn’t even own anymore. I sold the car two month prior to autorenewal date.
I sent them proof. I explained everything. I reached out politely, hoping for some basic understanding.
Instead, I got cold, robotic replies telling me I “should have called to cancel” — even though there’s no phone number to call. No empathy. No common sense. No willingness to acknowledge the reality of the situation.
It honestly feels like they care more about clinging to a payment than treating a customer fairly.
I’m sharing this because no one should have to fight this hard over something so obvious. If you’re thinking about using Dynamo, please be aware of how they handle people when things go wrong.
Its common sense. You cannot make a normal person life miserable and force them to write this kind of reviews which could have been simply avoided. I cannot even explain how disappointment I am from this experience. Hope this review reaches to everyone

Please stay clear of this company as…

Please stay clear of this company as they took payments for three years after my initial policy ended . I sold the car but they continued to take money from the credit card we used for the initial cover . I asked for a refund of all unauthorized payments and they are refusing ! I am still trying to resolve this problem !

Zero Stars 🌟 AVOID AVOID They put you…

Zero Stars 🌟 AVOID AVOID They put you on automatic renewal. Absolute scam, 1st year was £18.99 to attract you and then they increased it by 328%. You won't be able to speak to anyone. You have to cancel via their www and pay a further £15.99 cancellation fee PLUS any future payments in accordance with their terms. You have to contact your credit card company to put a block on them and get a charge back. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS

Oh dear, surely not Scammers?

Oh dear, reading all the reviews alleging this as a scam company, I fear that I too am a victim.
Having cancelled in the previous month (my £20) subscription, I was still charged £81 and when I immediately flagged the issue, the faceless and voiceless email response was that it was my responsibility to check and I could get £15 pounds back after "fees".
I never used the service in the year of cover and want out, but this Kafka-esque company makes it clear that no one leaves.
I still cannot get out of the "agreement".
The owner, an Alex Mills (ex-The Apprentice), claims he is making millions (Google Him). Fair play to the Barry Island "entrepreneur", I do believe that he is telling the truth in this regard. He has had over £100 of my hard earned pounds. It is going to cost me a lot more in legal fees however "principle every time".

They auto renew with no obvious way of…

They auto renew with no obvious way of opting out and the price went from £38 first year to £177 on renewal. When I tried to cancel, there is no where on the site or my account page obvious to do so, Avoid as cheaper year one but silly prices afterwards. Also don't tick on any extras as they on renewal class them as a extra cover policy, and when you cancel, you actually have to give them money higher then the price I paid for the extra cover, I paid £12 on top for poy hole cover, they auto renew this separate. I only had option to cancel after seen it taken from my account, they charge a cancellation fee, brokerage fee and I could only cancel a £12 policy if I paid them £17. Also be warned about their hidden cost, if you call them due to a breakdown, and a few minutes later you get car started, when you call them to stop the call out, they want £75 cancelled fee. Not taking a hour after I made call, but a few minutes. AVOID!

You have to be really careful with this lot.

You have to be really careful with this lot. Bought a breakdown policy through them but they give different policy numbers to different bits (some of which we didn't remember buying). When it comes to renewal you close the breakdown cover but it doesn't close the car hire cover and excess cover you never knew you had. They then lift that out of your bank account on renewal day and you can't talk to anyone to fix it because they're all hiding in cyberspace only. We also told them midway through the policy we had sold the car and they confirmed we'd need a new policy but even that didn't kill off the old one. And you can't change your settings from auto renew until they say so (about a month before renewal).

Complete rip off auto renews and charges cancellation fees

Bought a week of breakdown cover for a European trip and paid extra for car hire and pothole damage cover. I didn't notice these policies auto renew or have a cancellation fee of £7.50 each. This is hidden in the small print and only made apparent after you're sucked in. Thankfully I didn't have to use the breakdown cover as I suspect it was worthless. Having read other reviews I can think myself lucky not to have needed to use it. Clearly thieving scum, why don't you do something useful for humanity rather than line your pockets with honest peoples hard work?

I would honestly AVOID this company

I would honestly AVOID this company. They put you on auto renewal so the next year the price has more than doubled. It is so hard to navigate how to turn off autorenewal, which in fact I eventually did but then I find myself with another charge of motor excess protection that I never knew I had. This involved me to email them, in which I did get a refund of £30, but to be told there's a £15.99 fee to do this.
Also my daughter paid her breakdown in full only to find she had an unexplained charge of £8 saying it hadn't gone through when it clearly had when she checked her statements. Ruthless they are!

Really good service

Really good service. Turned up very quickly. The breakdown guy was friendly, polite and most importantly he gave us good advice in a way which induced confidence. Due to a spell of poor luck I have called Dynamo a few times recently and they have been very good on each occasion.

Motorcycle recovery

It was a Sunday afternoon cold and raining but to be fair it took 1 and half hrs to come and to collect my motorcycle, the only thing I can say is that when they arrived I asked to take my bike to another destination so it could be repaired wich was 3 minutes difference but cos I'd stated on the app home they would not take it anywhere different unfortunately.

This company is a pure scam

This company is a pure scam. Despite contacting their team weeks ago to cancel my breakdown insurance and no one has ever got back to me. No number to phone, took 81 pounds of my money without authorisation to auto renew despite contacting them several times to cancel my original policy. . No one ever gets back to you from their admin team this is a poor company and do not buy from them. Contacting my bank to get my money back. Why would I want to auto renew when I have contacted you weeks ago to cancel my breakdown as sold car!

2 words to sum up this company pure scam.

No where on the online portal to say you are auto renewed you have to contact them and no one gets back to you.
