I flew to turkey on the 29th of September and revived a septorhinoplasty by dr serhan Darin, the experience was so smooth and was talked through everything to ease the nerves. My medical advisor was Siban and was amazing, told me everything I needed to know, reassured me of everything, he went through every step with me, the whole experience and the staff at Doku clinic are amazing. I’m now 1 month post opp and the results already are amazing, siban has kept contact with me making sure everything is okay which is lovely, I can not recommend Doku clinic in Istanbul turkey enough!!!

As over a year has passed since my last surgery with Serhan Derin, I want to update on the final results. There is a visible hump at the top of my nose bridge when viewed from the side. That has bothered me very much. He made the bridge thin, but left the nose tip big and protruding. I clearly told him that I want a rounded tip, but it is still sharp even after the revision, but not as extremely sharp as it turned out after the first surgery by him. I’m still very unsatisfied with the results and extremely much regret that I chose him in the first place. It was because I didn’t know the truth beforehand as I got misled. Also he specializes just in rhinoplasty and despite that I got so low quality results. I sent photos of my nose for second opinion and the feedback I got is that from a surgical perspective it doesn’t meet the expected standards for a symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing nose.

My first review got reported by him for “private information” simply for mentioning his own name, which is public information. It got removed, so I had to contact Trustpilot to clarify its public info, then it got reinstated. It made me realize that he unfairly flags and reports negative feedback for false reasons. After I publicly shared the truth, I was even contacted with legal threats from the supervisor as Serhan requested from him. It was an attempt to intimidate me into deleting the public exposure of the truth, but he didn’t succeed in his plan. That said a lot about Serhan’s character.

I’ve also noticed something very odd about the rating pattern. Several 5-star reviews were posted on the same day (29. May), and they received multiple “useful” votes also on the same day. Previously, his positive reviews had no votes at all. So it’s also quite obvious his team are behind all the “useful votes” on his positive reviews. I’ve also seen reviews that appear to come from different locations, which means his team used VPNs to fake the locations that appears on Truspilot as well. I can’t think it’s just a coincidence that so many patients decided to positively review him exactly on the same day, otherwise that would be a very strange coincidence. I think most of his positive reviews are fake.

Update: I was right about his fake positive reviews. I reported them, and over a month later Trustpilot investigated and I got an email which confirmed it. It said the ones I mentioned got removed. However, only the ones I sent screenshots of were investigated and then removed, so he still have many fake positive reviews on his profile. They were posted from Turkey, but they used VPNs to falsify the locations that appeared.

In my opinion, a surgeon that doesn’t allow negative feedback and tries to control its online image through unfair reporting and fake reviews from his team is not one you should trust with your face. Such actions aren’t considered normal to do. People have the right to see the full picture before choosing a doctor for a lifechanging surgery.

I hope Trustpilot allows this review to remain, as it reflects my genuine experience and concerns, shared so others can make an informed decision. Since he will probably again report it for a false reason.

Talking about results can be complicated as it depends on individual expectations. For me, I couldn't be more satisfied. For anyone considering rhinoplasty I would recommend considering your motives and expectations. There are limits to what can be achieved and there is something to be said of accepting yourself as you are.

With that being said, my surgery goals were to achieve straightness and symmetry in both the septum and tip without changing the overall shape. Dr Serhan Derin explained to me that while he will try and retain the original shape, it will be a different nose at the end of the day. I was prepared to accept this and trusted the Dr after a lot of discussion about the finer details.

All I can say from my experience is that the entire team was professional and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. I found Dr. Derin to be confident and thorough.

In the end everything was as expected with all the post-surgery events happening as explained. After returning to New Zealand Mohamed (follow-up team) messaged to make sure everything was ok.

I love my results. I feel like I truly got the results I was looking for. I was worried that changing my nose would changed my entire face or would fit my face, but most people don’t notice. And those who are aware that I got it nose job love my results with me.

My experience was amazing! Dr. Serhan is an artist and a very skilled surgeon. When I saw his work on instagram, I felt like he was the surgeon for me. I had surgery on October 24th, and before choosing Dr. Serhan, I reached out to friends from Istanbul for recommendations on the best surgeon. My procedure wasn’t only for appearance; I also had issues with breathing on my right side, so finding a highly skilled doctor was essential.

If you're looking for a doctor who truly knows his work, Dr. Serhan is absolutely the right choice. He is a highly skilled specialist who listens carefully and takes all your wishes for your nose into account. I couldn't be happier with the results; my nose looks very natural, which was incredibly important to me.

The staff was also wonderful. Post-op consultant Bahar was incredibly kind and helpful, assisting me with anything I needed. I could always reach out to Bahar, Selen, or the medical staff at the hotel for anything I needed, which made the entire process much easier.

The clinic was spotless and professionally managed. There’s really nothing negative I can say. Thank you so much to Dr. Serhan and the whole team for their help and kindness!

Dr Serhan is one of doctors who have God’s gift in his hands . He is the most wonderful doctor , an expert in his field . I have dream nose and not even one bruise or visible stitch . Literally I can’t explain in words how grateful for him being my surgeons. I have fantastic shape of nose and I can breath so easily now after septorhinoplasty. I would recommend to anyone who think of rhinoplasty or worry about their choice and results, this is the best doctor you can have !

Dr Serhan Derin and his team at Doku medical hospital were very friendly and helpful and I was happy with the service. The whole process on surgery day was explained really well. The transfers and everything included in the package was very good. The other doctors who check up on you after your surgery are very good too and helpful.

Looking through many nose surgeons i decided finally to chose dr Serhan and it was the best decision that could have been made. Already during the consultation in clinic i knew that doctor is trustworthy person and i am in good hands. Also very professional, kind, perfectly match shape of the nose to face. I had my revision surgery recently, and despite an issue of price quotation, I was very pleased that the team at Arpanu met me halfway with what I needed. The doctor was exceptional, and something I really appreciate Is the fact the team are constantly checking in on you prior, during and post surgery, and I’m well aware there are plenty of patients on a day to day basis, but they truly make you feel important. A special shout out to John who was one of my translators and Zivile, my consultant. For a surgery that can be frightening, the whole experience at this clinic was fantastic and safe- and the clinic is gorgeous with a ridiculously good art collection too!

I want to give a detailed review about my experience with Dr. Serhan Derin. First I contacted the clinic by WhatsApp. My contact person was Zivile. She was amazing and helped me to complete the registration for the surgery. She answered all my questions and was available all the time. She also arranged all the pickups/ transfers and checked if I was okay.

The surgery: We had an e-consult before I arrived in turkey. The doctor explained everything thoroughly and I explained my wishes. He even saw that my septum was deviated (which causes breathing issues) and offered to fix that.

When I arrived I got picked up from the airport in a very nice van. And then stayed at the hotel for a night. Next morning I was picked up and got my blood tests done. The translator (John) helped me and he was very friendly. He also had a lot of medical knowledge. They also checked my heart before surgery. Then I met the anaesthesiologist to make sure I get the right anaesthetic. Then I met dr Serhan and we thoroughly discussed the surgery and what I want also my breathing problems (which are fixed now). Communication was easy because he knows enough English for a consult. But the translator was there the whole time as well so that was great. I really noticed that the doctor is an ENT not just a plastic surgeon because he focused a lot on the function of the nose.

I had basically no swelling and barely any bruising. Everyone was so friendly. I had no pain just discomfort from the cast and the silicones in my nose. I also had barely any bleeding. My results are even prettier than I expected. It’s one week post op and I can already fully breathe. I’m so happy with the results so far and can’t wait for the final outcome. Thanks so much 💕

From the 1st contact I had with Dr Derin team, Aleyna Drs assistant helped to book a 121 consultation with Dr in Turkey, transportation was provided from airport hotel and Dr's office. I was so impressed with Dr Derin that I immediately booked my ethnic revision rhinoplasty with him . Again Aleyna did a great job assisting me with all my queries and surgery details.

My experience in Turkey was amazing the staff at hospital were so friendly and Dr Derin team are extremely attentive, I had translator thru out the whole process , the operation when smoothly once back at the hotel I was contacted by the after care team and seen .there are live in nurses based in the same hotel,. The after care team visited me in my room and i was also contacted by the after care Dr who will be looking after me for the next year. I was able to contact someone at all times when even a query occurred.

I highly reccomend Dr and his wonderful team . My stay at the hotel was pleasant it's a 5* resort hotel which provides you with free shuttle daily into the city center of Taskim were you can explore istanbul further and make it surgery and mini holiday in one

I want to thank Dr Serhan for giving me the perfect natural nose. I am currently 4 weeks post op and my whole life has changed! The whole process from start to finish has been outstanding. My experience was great, way better than my primary experience. I had a revision my original surgery left me with a crooked nose. Now my nose is symmetric and fits my face. I’m so grateful I can move on with my life! I love my new nose!
