Do not honor warranties!

We bought an Meta Quest 3 from them in March. It came with a warrantee. Recently the speaker arm broke (while putting the headset on - so not doing anything sinister or unusual. We got in touch with Droneworld who told us to courier the unit to Cape Town - at our own expense (even though we got the unit from their Johannesburg office). Charmaine rep**** on receipt: "I just wanted to bring to your attention that the unit is dirty, and I'm not sure if the supplier will assist in this case." What? How is the unit being dirty at all relevant to the fact that the arm broke? BTW, I am not sure what condition she thought the unit should be in after 6 months use. Anyway, she subsequently told us the supplier would not honor the warranty and to approach Meta directly. So disappointing when companies do not honor their warranties - especially on a R15 000, six month old item which I can assure them was used appropriately. There are numerous reviews online of the same thing happening - so it is not just our unit. Rather pay more for another company who will give you the after sales service you have paid for, and which has been promised on purchase!

I am glad these BOZOS are out of business

Back in 2017 or 2018 - I put a few items in my cart - I did have a question about 2 of the items - I did send them emails - 1 a day for 4 days - they never responded to any of my emails - my last email to them - i ask if anyone even worked there - they did have a nice website with what appeared to be real nice items - BUT - they were also very high priced - it really is kind of a shame if they ripped people off - I hope these BOZOS get what they deserve

Intentionally fraudulent

Intentionally fraudulent. They conducted a baldfaced bait and switch, substituting a $73.00 item for one that I paid them $190.00 for.
Glad they are out of business. But I hope they’re in jail.

Drone world is most likely business

Drone world is most likely business, the entire company does not respond, if you send them money you lost it. Their web site is down,
I have emailed them and told them I wanted 20,000 in equipment with no reply, DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY.

I ordered my drone in October 2018 with…

I ordered my drone in October 2018 with the flymore kit
Received drone within 2 weeks
but also received a note with the order stating that 4 of the items in the flymore kit were back order and would receive the rest (they sent a list of items back ordered)
I have sent countless emails trying to resolve the issue but have not received any information via email or phone call
It’s now the end of March and have not received a thing
I’m not sure if drone-world is a reliable company
They get your money and don’t care about customers or customer service
everyone who asks me ware I got my drone from I tell them I made a big mistake and got it from Drone-World the most unprofessional drone company out there
So my recommendation would go through DJI unless you want to go through all i’ve been through
NOT WORTH IT

Horrible Company

DRONE WORLD IS OUT OF BUSINESS!! I HAVE A BUDDY THAT LIVES NEAR THERE AND HE WENT THERE TODAY TO GET MY MAVIC 2 REMOTE BACK. IT WAS DELIVERED THIS WEEK TO GET THE MAXX MODD AND THEY HADN'T OPENED THE BOX AND HE BASICALLY HAD TO THREATEN THEM FOR THE TO GIVE IT TO HIM. HE SAID THE PLACE IS CLEANED OUT EXCEPT SEVERAL UNOPENED BOXES LIKE MINE. IF THEY OWE YOU MONEY OR EQUIPMENT CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Horrible, the worst that I've ever dealt with. No emails or calls returned. They have my Mavic 2 controller and I'll probably never see it again. Their website is down. If they owe you money or equipment I suggest that you call your credit card company.

Drone World Folding

After a bit of research it appears that Stephen McKenna the owner of Drone World also owns Tungsten Rings...www.tungstenworld. It's the same physical address as Drone World. I called them.. (1-800-731-1123) and spoke with a female in sales there inquiring about my order and status of Drone World. She stated that Drone World is folding and that they are working filling orders back to November with what they have in stock. They are apparently also creating a list of partially shipped orders to refund as well as orders not sent at all. Time frame was approximately 6 weeks. Female also stated she thinks Tungsten Rings will possibly be folding soon as well.

Incomplete Order with No Response, Poor Service

I ordered a Tello drone package with three batteries, a charger, Tello drone, GameSir controller and bag on 11/26/2018. I asked by email and phone for delivery estimates, with one response that they were waiting for the controller. I finally received shipment 12/19/2018, short two batteries with a note that the backordered batteries would be shipped in one week. I have not received the batteries and no response from multiple phone and email requests for update. Drone-World prices are no brgain, Shop Elsewhere!

Drone World bad experience and delay

i purchase the mavic
2 pro with the maxx mod kit on 12/26/2018(order#48201)
to find out that the extended range remote is extra and if you pick out the mavic 2 pro you will paid $250 extra from advertisement in website.drone world needs to be clear with package deals and not make it seem that you will get everything in package.I have call them and email them numerous time since 1/4/19 and no thor super charger no iPad holder and no email or call.
my last email from drone world was on 1/11/19 saying that they will mail it to me in a week and here we are 1/31/19 NOTHING.....
I will not be doing business with drone World again for lack of communication and what it appears to me as false advertising.

DRONE WORLD - SERVICE IS NON-EXISTANT once they get your money!

Drone World seems to be a "fly-by-night" company. They do not have a sales and/or service department. I had initially enquired about getting some mavic platinum batteries with a thor charger. The line was busy and I could only reach drone world via their online form. The rep or bot that replied stated I just needed to indicate the need for the platinum battery at time of purchase. They were obviously busy beyond their capacity due the holiday so I placed my order and tried for days to reach them. No luck! I did however, start getting automated information as to the processing of my order and tracking detail-sure enough they shipped the wrong product! It took another wait to even hear back from them regarding my complaint. They assured me they would make things right as long as I did not open the batteries - which I did not because I do not want batteries that do not match my drone! Eventually I heard from Drone World on 11.01.2019 and replied immediately assuring them that I had not opened the batteries - that was it! I have since sent 2-3 additional emails and called getting no where. This is unacceptable and I believe I should just return the whole $300+ order as this is asinine and completely unacceptable service. I will give Drone World until 25.JAN.2019 to contact me before I take steps to have the entire order returned at their cost and file a chargeback with my financial institution. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

They corrected their recent mistakes. Easy 5 stars

My experience with drone world over the past month has not been ideal. However, I spoke with the operations manager recently and he explained why their shipments and response times have been lacking.

They treated me in a professional manner and understand people are frustrated right now. All I can say is trust this company, they proved they still deserve my business. After they fixed the issues I was having I have nothing but good things to say.

CROOKS

I also purchased some items through Drone World on 12-3-18. They charged my account but have not shipped the item. I then saw they canceled my order BUT had not refunded my money back. THEY WERE VERY QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY, BUT HAVE NOT YET RETURNED MY MONEY!

I had a very poor experience with Drone…

I had a very poor experience with Drone World. I made a purchase for a 3-axis Gimbal for $549. At the time I made the purchase my bank account was charged. A week later I was contacted telling me that they could not sale the item at the price I paid and requested $200 more. This certainly is a case of false advertising. It is now 2 weeks later, Drone World still has my money, I have not received the product I ordered and paid for, and they still refuse to deliver it. I am incredibly upset. Please take your business to another vendor.

BUYER BEWARE and DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Same deal took our money and haven't sent the Mavic Air with extras package. Order was placed on 12-21-18. No response. Trying to cancel the order and get a refund. SCAMMERS. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS..... I am going to contact DJI and see if they are even still a dealer and how?

DJI/Customer service. Call and complain. They are still listed as an authorized dealer.

They stated that I am the first to complain about Drone World. Everyone needs to make a call to them. I went to technical support and I am emailing the all of the emails (me trying to contact them) to: supportdji.com put the at symbol between support and dji. They dont allow email addresses in a post.

Avoid like the plague

Ordered a ronin s on sale after days without contact from them i became concerned 18 unanswered phone calls and several emails they finally emailed me and said they couldn't honor they price and wanted $200. More. I emailed the back and asked for a refund and several More emails later still no product or money
