This is a professional outfit geared to 'employing' slave labour. Driver Agent is the first contact in the chain. They mislead you by suggesting that this is a great opportunity. IT IS NOT. What it is is a method used by them to make large sums of money whilst you live in a van, grabbing your meals from petrol stations that you visit to refuel when you have completed the allocated task. They connect you with their 'suppliers' that will harass you from a van hire company (One Stop) to a job provider formerly known as UK Express. In order to work with the job provider you will need to be able to drive at the maximum legal speed AT ALL TIMES regardless of weather or road conditions and be able to do so without stopping for ANY reason. For this your remuneration is pitiful nowhere near the 'up to figure' quoted. Earn a penny and the up to figure of £1,000 per week is a true statement. However that figure is the honey used to trap the needy and vulnerable. Beware of speaking to this company as it's the start of a downhill spiral. You will end up worse off and they will benefit from your labour. You will be constantly harassed during your journey and often whilst you attempt to get some sleep in your van. I speak from experience and wouldn't recommend this outfit to my worst enemy.
In reply to the slanderous accusation made by Driveragent Stoke. I stayed because I was fortunate not to be one of the desperate and needy. However if you repeat the allegation that I crashed my van and refused to pay the hire company. We shall meet face to face in a court room. My insurance paid for the damage in full. I had already handed in my notice and was waiting for the "12 Month lease" on my van to expire. However events overtook me and I had the accident. So my final day with that outfit came a little earlier than scheduled. Thank you for confirming to Trust Pilot that my review is genuine. By the way my name was and still is Ron
What are you on about? You know that our insurance was cancelled by PolicyPlan due to the way the lease/rental was being done. I lost over £1500 due to that little episode!! (I did recover all of my costs through the legal action that I took) Your preferred supplier at the time gave me a document stating I had a 12 month lease agreement to demonstrate to the insurer the terms of my agreement. I was to leave at the date shown as being the termination date, as I didn't want to give them any excuse to retain my deposit. It later transpired that the document was fraudulent and purely generated for the benefit of the insurance company. Now do you wish to continue or are you going to accept what I've written as true or continue until all your dirty washing is aired in public?
I DID NOT LEAVE AND RETURN!! Where did you get that from? When I left I started my own business and am doing very well thank you. So that statement of your is either a damn right lie or you are confusing me wjth somebody called Rob

It was easy to get along with the staff…
It was easy to get along with the staff at driver agent. They are friendly and helpful if you should get stuck and they get you out working withing weeks. I would recommend this company to anyone.
I been working for 4 months,
I been working for 4 months,, it's hard work in my induction they say is not easy live , the payments are regular and the pay what they say , if you not ready for night's out and hard work is better no start, in general drive agency is trust and honest agency
A bunch of liars
Lies, lies and more lies. That's the best way to sum up this company.
'You will make so much money in this job!'. Those were the exact words said to me during the induction, and I should have acknowledged the alarm bells ringing even back then, but I was in dire need of work.
I stayed with this company for three weeks, and in that time I made a grand total of - £2,300. They will charge you for EVERYTHING, including fuel, and on more than one occasion I came across a fellow driver who had maxed out their credit cars while living day to day in their vehicle while waiting for their next job to come along to help put a dent in their debts. As for your actual deliveries, you will be expected to get to your drop on time without stopping for breaks. That might be fine when your destination is an hour or so away, but not when you're doing an eight hour slog from Coventry to Aberdeen.
Just do yourself a favour. Don't do it.
EDIT: In response to Driver Agent:
"Can you please explain exactly what Driver Agent have 'Lied' about?"

You stated you can make up to £1,000 per week. This may be true, but I never met anyone within the company who made anywhere near that amount, even before they were hit with fuel, insurance and van rental costs.
You also made mention of a flexible schedule, yet when I tried to reschedule a job, I was angrily told by a member of your supposed expert team that I didn't have a choice.
Speaking of your expert team, it would have been nice if you had allocated one of them to me, all I got was a clueless young man with a horrible attitude.
Finally, while I was indeed sourced a van, would it really have been asking too much to have the van cleaned and checked for roadworthiness beforehand? Replacing headlight bulbs on a Mercedes Sprinter is a rather awkward task.
Also, let's look at your advert on cv-library.com, again as of 12th January 2020.

I've already covered the flexibility issue, so let's talk about the paid training. The only training I recall getting was shadowing another driver during his deliveries (which mostly involved sitting around waiting for a delivery), and I didn't receive a penny for it. This was after being told to make a five hour train journey to the meeting place (at my expense), and subsequently being grumpily told by Mr Expert Advisor on the phone at 4am in the morning that he didn't know anything about the meeting.
"All the details regarding Business Expenses such as Fuel Costs were explained at the first meeting prior to you starting?"
Well, in this regard you were rather vague about costs, truth be told.
"As also explained to you prior to starting, all runs have delivery times to meet which are well achievable within the time frame given, was the issue just that you could not make the times given and decided you could not complete the work allocated?"
Evidently not, especially when Mr Expert Advisor phoned to ask me why I was only doing 50 mph in an average speed check zone before demanding I break the speed limit. By and large though, I did the deliveries on time.
"As for the driver that maxed out his Credit Cards, what does that have to do with your Business?"
If the driver felt it wasn't my business, I doubt they would have told me about it. Even so, I did keep their name anonymous in this review.
Thank you for your wholly professional and courteous response and I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

They charge £980 per month for van…
They charge £980 per month for van rental ripp off! When you say you have your own van they get funny AND SAY NO PROBLEM... But you have to goto our garage and install and pay for a Tracker and Deadlock doors.... Total cost = £1500 before you even start work!
All their vans have done over 150k + miles and need oil on a regular basis which you are responsible for.
You get promised you can work anytime you want and cancel jobs.... This is a lie! To make some money you have to stop out in your van for at least 5 nights! Ie I did a drop to Perth Scotland and was paid fir that drop £180 fuel going there cost £100 that leaves me with £80! Minus the van charge per day £34!
Then I was told from their call centure in india that I must do a collection and wait 17hrs to collect from Scotland and bring it back to Coventry! 17hrs! For this wait and collection they add £25! That's my whole 1 day virtually gone.
If you do not collect the drive back its on your head so you did that run for nothing and you are about £100 out of pocket.
Stay well away from this company they promise you all sorts and they fob you off saying your self employed do what you want
Also if you leave after 14 days you are liable for 11 months to pay £980 x 11 for the van! As its the contract you sign but they won't tell you this.
Wow what a proffesional reply, exactly what I expected. Scam. THERE JOB/ SCAM IS TO KEEP YOU IN WORK FOR 14 DAYS, AND IF YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE AND DO NOT STOP IN VAN OVERNIGHT FOR A MINIMUM 5 NIGHTS.... YOU PAY THE £980 X 11MONTHS! In other words you are stuck and have NO choice but to live out in a van 5 nights a week and have NO family life! In the end after paying everything out van/ fuel/ insurance/ food/ Tax.. you are left with around £800 per month! I rather get a local job or work for a agency and get this amount.
I am just warning everyone as I too heard all these lies at interview and thought... i cant wait to start work with this company as i will be making alot of money and do not need to stop out.
Read their reply.... you can sense unprofessionalism from the manager who does not care and has clearly stated giving a example about a phone contract lol!
I'm lucky as my relative has his own law firm and was willing to go to court and they did not pursue me.

Avoid at all costs..
Avoid at all costs... this company fabricates insurance quotes, and offers £500+ a week pay, but they don’t give new self employed Delivery Drivers an honest viable directive before taking “Admin fees” no communication from Agent, any information that they do provide is very unprofessional looks like it was composed by a 5yr old... so if your setting up your own Delivery business and hope to get your first contract Avoid Driver Agent at all costs.
