From the moment I went in to the hospital I was given nothing but care. My surgeon, coordinator and dietitian was all incredible. I couldn’t have wished for a better surgeon to do my surgery. Everything went perfectly. Thank you dr cem arslan for changing my life

From start to finish, everything was excellent. My communication with Leila made me confident in choosing Dr. Cem. They were flexible with my availability and the doctor agreed to my surgery during the Eid vacation. The airport pickup and hospital were both 5 star. There was very little English spoken with the nurses but nothing Google translate couldn't solve. The surgery went as expect and I've lost 22.8 lbs (10.3 kg). I really appreciate that they provided me with all the medications that I needed as well as protein powders for the liquid diet. They have continued to follow up since my release including answering questions I have and access to a dietitian. If there was one thing that could be improved, it would be the hotel. It is in a nice area but a little dated. Thank you to Dr Cem and his entire team for their support.

From first contact with Leila my coordinator all the way through to arriving back home my treatment and care was exceptional. Leila arranged absolutely everything and was in contact with me the entire time, she was always so friendly and helpful and was happy to answer any questions I had.
Clinic and staff were superb, Dr Chem Arsalan and his ream were always very kind, willing and helpful and if I needed help they answered my button straight away.
Hotel for 2 days was extremely comfortable, I had everything that I needed from the hospital team and the hotel staff would pop by daily with tea coffee and water.
My flight home was delayed but that wasn't a problem, Leila rescheduled for me and I was able to stay at the hotel with no extra charge ...

Hi i’m Fikret and 23 years old. When i became 113kg i had to search for a way to loose weight and after that i found Dr.Cem Arslan and searched him a lot for this surgery and i saw that he had a lots of surgery about that and for me he is an expert for theese surgeries so i decided to make an operation and today is 1 month after the surgery so i lost -15kg and it is still going 😊 Sooo if you literally want this surgery and looking for some trusted doctor you can %100 trust him 😊🙏🏼

The whole process was explained to me and I was communicated at all times.
The hospital care was absolutely amazing. Everything was done very professionally and to very high standards.

Had a great time and experience under Dr Cem Arslan, the team was great from answering questions, planning to the time of arrival. I had an implant done by dr cem baysal and I have to say that he is one of the best dentist I have been to. I had no Pain accept for the injections. The second time I went back it was the same and he did the implant and two fillings. He is one of the best dentist i have been to.
The cost of the implant was 1200 euros. About on third of what it would have cost me in the u.k. Mr P.Fox.

Dr Cem was brilliant, very attentive and answer all the questions you may have. I've had a gastric sleeve done last year and I feel wonderful. I already lost 30 kg and still loosing. Thank you Dr Cem for all your hard work.

Dr Cem, Almira, Zeynep, Gökçe and the hospital team were absolutely brilliant for my entire bypass process. From booking to arriving in Istanbul I was greeted by the most beautiful Maybach van to travel to the hospital in with another patient, who I am still in contact with 3 months later as we share our journeys!

I was taken to a very smart and clean private hospital room where all of my observations were done by quick and talented nursing staff. We were then whisked away to see the cardiologist attending, have x-rays done and to sign all of our elective forms subject to satisfactory results from pre-op testing.

The surgeon will not proceed with any kind of procedure if these do not come back as satisfactory! It's important to note I was not asked to pay any more than my deposit until it had been confirmed that I was going ahead with the operation and all test results were accepted.

I slept in the hospital overnight. The bed was pretty unforgiving on my poor hips but all hospital beds are the same! Designed for function, not comfort. Next morning I saw Dr Cem again to confirm I would be the second one going under for the op today, so took the chance to wish my new room neighbour good luck as he was going first.

The surgery itself was over in a flash. I had a slight added complication that the top of my belly is surprisingly narrow underneath that chunky layer of fat and I think they had to move a few things around a bit to get the job done. The surgeon was great though, I came away with 4 tiny cuts and one drainage pipe. The drainage is removed after about two days, it can be a nuisance to tote around but it has a clip attached to it so you can hook it onto your clothing.

The nurses are incredibly attentive and will do anything for you. I was never short of water or pain relief after my op. The night nurses check on you religiously through the early hours. I found it very hard being able to only sleep on my back for long periods. With a bit of Google translate's help, I was provided with extra pillows to support my arms and blankets.

The view and noises from the window were really good. You'll hear the call to prayer countless times during your stay and the area is peaceful and respectful around the hotel. There was never any shouting or honking etc, all very relaxing. The blinds in the room were thankfully adjustable as Turkish mornings are very bright!

The nurses will have you up and walking in a matter of hours after the surgery. The private wing is quiet and calming, you have a grab rail along the entire hallway to cling to if needed and plenty of chairs to rest on! It also gives you a chance to socialise a bit with other patients. We had me, an Englishman, a Welsh couple, and a Polish lady all in the same corridor. There are only about 8 suites in the wing, and it's keypad locked so there's no one without a purpose wandering past your room!

I saw Dr Cem multiple times during my stay. He made a point of visiting to have a chat at least once a day with all of his patients, and he's a kind and knowledgeable man. His English and German are both good, and with the help of Google Translate we had some good conversations about next steps.

After 3 nights in hospital, my neighbour and I were given a very comprehensive rundown on vitamins, shakes, liquid diets, probiotics and medication before being transported to the hotel for the remainder of our stay. You'll receive blood thinners, painkillers, stomach protectors, bandages, you name it! You'll also be added into a personalised WhatsApp group with your surgeon, coordinators and nutritionist. Gökçe reminds you every day of changeover when it comes to amping your food intake back up and provides helpful menus. I lived on kefir and high protein yoghurt for the first few weeks due to some med withdrawal issues.

Things to note:
- You'll be in a good amount of discomfort for a few weeks.
- You will get constipated
- You won't shower from the morning of your surgery until you get to the hotel. Take antiperspirant and easy changes of clothing to stay fresh!
- Istanbul is buzzing and vibrant, but you may not get the opportunity to explore post-surgery.
- Remember to book your flight assistance for the trip back! Better to have it and not need it than vice versa.

The coordinators deserve medals. Almira was omnipresent and so sweet. There was nothing that was too much for her if you asked! Zeynep had her conversion sleeve to bypass surgery the day before we arrived and she was still there to greet us and see us off while she was recovering too, which I really appreciated the effort from her seeing as she should have been at home in bed!

If you're concerned about doing it, don't be. There was never a moment where I didn't feel completely safe! I am now 35kg lighter after 3 months and I look forward to a bright future.

I had a sleeve gastrectomy on 3rd November 2023 with Dr Cem Arslan. The whole experience was seemless, stress-free and very comfortable. The whole team made me feel very safe and confident and the service was excellent.

I had an ECG and blood tests and lungs checked before surgery, and was monitored closely by nurses before and after surgery. The follow up has also been excellent, maintaining contact and available for questions 24/7!

I have no regrets about my decision and highly recommend Dr Cem and his wonderful team to anyone! I am so grateful for the care, support and individual attention I received!

Great Experience! Initially, I was reluctant to make the decision to proceed with the Gastric Sleeve procedure with any clinic as it’s a big decision. My Partner came across Dr. Cem Arslan Clinic. We found a contact number and to my surprise it was actually Dr. Cem's WhatsApp (Business Account).

We arranged a video call that evening and I was grateful to meet Dr. Cem and have an open discussion about the procedure, why I wanted to do it and a few health questions (nothing intrusive). I recall asking Dr. Cem, why he provided his time as other clinics did not do this.
He responded by saying this is how we operate and he wanted to provide a personal service, where possible.
This was great to hear as a few weeks prior, I was in contact with another Clinic, where all my medical questions were relayed back to the Doctor but I did not feel the same connection.

Regarding the communication with Dr. Cem, please note that English is not his primary language but the conversation was manageable.

I was then contacted by the Medical Co-ordinator on the 19th August. Zeynep was awesome. She had been through the procedure with the clinic herself and was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. I had concerns about the procedure and as with any operation (whether in the UK or Abroad) there are risks. There was no pressure to proceed and was advised to research more online. Zeynep also informed me that any hint of risk identified during pre-tests, however small, the procedure would not be possible. Zeynep goes beyond coordinator, very professional, to the point and cares about your well-being.

Arrived in Turkey on the 18th September and was met by Sercan at the airport who took me and another patient to our Taxi. Really nice minivan/SUV with comfortable seats and TV to watch music videos. Sercan was professional, polite and even offered to carry the luggage (Not his job but was decent of him to ask).

Due to Zeynep being unavailable for the arrival, all the coordination was done by Almira. I was notified in advance, so no issues at all in change of coordinators.

Arrived at the hospital and greeted by Almira. Almira is very professional, courteous and a humble person. Like Zeynep, Almira naturally cares about your wellbeing.

I got into the hospital room and then taken for a series of tests. Probably took an hour end to end, not much waiting. Almira was with me throughout the pre-tests.

Next day was the surgery and Almira came back in the morning and stayed with me until I went down for Surgery. I had a visit from the Doctor to say I would be the first operation of the day.

At no point do I recall Almira or anyone asking me for Payment as soon as I arrived. However, I did make payment before the operation as its a service being offered. The company Op. Dr. CEM Clinic are professional and not after your money. They only want the best for you based on my experience.

Surgery took an hour. I will be honest, the moment I woke, I had nurses around me and Almira. I struggled a bit to adjust to coming off the Anaesthetic but Almira was by my side, even when I was throwing up (common side effect with Anaesthetic) and I felt relieved and calm.
Throughout the next few days/ nights, Nurses visited me to check on IV drips, painkillers and encouraged me to walk a lot. Yes, walking is very important. I wish I did more walking.

The Doctors visited me each day to check on me, which showed they cared a lot.

I was only meant to stay in the Hospital for 3 days. However, the team showed great empathy I was offered to stay in the hospital for 2 more nights, to keep me comfortable.

Forgot to mention, a day after Surgery, I went down to get a standing CT scan to check for any leakages with the Sleeve. All was clear, which was a relief. You can see the fluid that was given travelling down your oesophagus to your New Stomach.
On the 5th Day, I was discharged and before leaving, I got a visit from Zeynep (who an amazing person to meet), Almira and the Dietician (Gokce). Gokce explained what I could eat/drink in detail, what I should expect from the change in lifestyle and the benefits. I was given medication and vitamins to take back home along with my discharge papers. Gokce is very knowledgeable and still provides me after care with my diet via WhatsApp app. Thank you Gokce for keeping me on track.

My overall experience was fantastic. I did my research and kept my NHS GP updated pre and post operation. When I explained my experience was in Turkey to the NHS GP, my weight loss to date and how good I felt, my GP was very happy for me. Just over 3 weeks from Surgery and I have lost nearly 12kg.

I flew to Turkey with some fears and worries which were immediately put at ease as soon as we arrived at the airport. Transfers were spot on, hotel clean and good location and the hospital experience faultless. From the moment I stepped into the hospital the care from every single member was amazing. After the surgery the nurses were always prompt with medication, pain killers, changing the wound dressing etc.
After 3 days spent in the hospital post op I felt good enough to go sightseeing in Istanbul.😍
And Dr Cem and his team are just such amazing people and genuinely care about their patient's wellbeing.

The greatest experience I’ve had so far. They’ve arranged my hotel and transfer. Everything was planned when I got here. Dr Cem, his team, nurses and the hospital staff were all amazing.
