Just looking at some of the reviews .theres a common theme here with the car care plane where you pay for a policy several hundred £s to cover small Damages within a circle they show you when purchasing your car.Claimed once when some T§$¥ Dinged my car took3 months.Now my paint has started peeling off in 2 places kia Scunthorpe submitted my claim to the third party it was Refused the company said it was a Kia paint issue.Contacted Drayton Motors scunthorpe and I have just been given the run around being passed from one place to another.Once you have been sold the protection package they Don’t want to know just not interested.£18000 I paid for this 72 plate and the paint is coming off NOTHING to do with Damaging the car.DO NOT take out this extra plan.I have booked it in with my local smart repair shop as it is only going to get worse.if it wasn’t for paying in Advance for a second full service I would not step foot near the place again.£18000 72 plate proceed and the paint or Laqure is coming off.

I purchased a SMART Repair Plan from Drayton Motors, who told me it covered “up to 10 cosmetic repairs.” No limitations or exclusions were explained at the point of sale. When I later submitted a claim, it was rejected due to undisclosed size restrictions. The dealership refused a refund and dismissed my concerns, relying on the fact that the conversation cannot be evidenced. This experience has left me with no confidence in their sales practices or integrity. Do NOT take out their seemingly all singing all dancing cosmetic repair scheme which they gloss over the details of. Absolute con. I’m now pursuing through the ADR and Motor Ombudsman. Avoid taking these ‘offers’ out as they promise the earth and deliver nothing. Shocking way to treat customers. It’s made me think twice about using the dealership again and I’ve been a loyal customer as have other family members. Grantham Lincs is the branch I have dealt with. Disgusting way to treat customers to imply that I was told but because it can’t be evidenced, it’s tough. You’ve been warned.
Dealership not the product
Agree with Ace, fine till you have a problem. Car playing up, initially offered that they'd look at it mid December! Then next week, told if it wasn't covered by warranty £180 for investigation. Couldn't do next week and told them, got told if I wanted it under warranty then call back and he hung up on me ! Rude, inconsiderate, no offer of courtesy car. What's the point of the warranty if you have to go without the car ! 2nd bad experience, no way will I entertain kia cars again. It's the dealership tho not the product.
Poor sales experience
Drayton Motors, Grantham:
It took 3 weeks of phone calls and emails after picking up my new Kia to find out that the car floor mats and boot protector I'd wanted hadn't been included in the order. The salesman had left and the sales manager pointed out that I should've checked the order form when I signed it. Since I'd signed on a tablet it's not clear to me when I could've checked the order and the first time I saw a printed copy of the form was when the sales manager emailed me a copy in response to my query. Sales procedures went awry in other ways too, and the sales manager has been curt and extremely unhelpful in response. I will tell friends and family to buy from a different sales room.
Great Until You Have a Problem
Had an ongoing issue which was being dealt with by a guy called Lee, he has now moved to Grantham Branch so the new business manager got involved and that's where it went dead. We tried to reject the car on safety grounds and not of satisfactory quality but was fobbed off by him saying the problems are normal characteristics of the car. We had a video from the service technician stating that he had tightened the subframe bolts, this business manager said this did not happen. We emailed him to say that we had the video and explained the whole story from when we purchased the car, brand new, but he couldn't even be bothered to respond to the email, despite 2 phone calls to try and check he'd received it. They are appalling at getting back to you, you have to do all the chasing and they hide behind the fact that they are waiting for approval from Manufacturer. 8 moths of aftercare he'll. Very disappointed.

We’ve just purchased a car from Drayton motors for the first time.
We dealt with Rhys whose passion for cars shone through. He was extremely knowledgeable and easy to chat with.
This is our first Kia Sportage and before we left we were given great instructions on all the techno in it! A lot!
We had plenty of time to look round and make a decision and were both surprised at how quickly the car would be ready and it really does look good. Before we left the manager came over to thank us for our custom and during the weekend we also received a message from Rhys thanking us. The handover was extremely smooth with all the tax and change of keeper stuff being done for us.
I’m looking forward to next June and my car’s service! Tea and coffee available!
This is how the car buying experience should be
Looking at buying a new car and felt disappointed by who we used to use as they never got back to us with a quote. Walked into the Louth branch and was greeted by Sam who asked us all the right questions, but more importantly had all the right answers. Quote given to us in a matter of moments with no fuss. 2 weeks later we drove the new car away. Excellent service throughout, with everyone we talked to.

This was the second time I have purchased a car from Draytons Scunthorpe, both times I dealt with Kyle who was excellent through out, I discussed with him exactly what I was looking for, make, model, year, colour, mileage and he found a car which I went to view and test drive and the deal was done. Kyle sorted out all the paperwork re old car, new car, updated my insurance details, personal registration etc nothing was to much trouble. Kyle answered any questions that I asked, all in all it was a very positive experience and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Draytons Scunthorpe and Kyle again. If you are looking for a car this gentleman is the man to see

Never again will a bring my car back to kia boston.
I originally bought from kia Grantham and the man that sold it was lovely. Couldn't fault him.
However over the 4 years ive had my car, ive had it mot'd by my own mechanic. This year, unfortunately he wasn't able to fit me in and it needed doing so I made the mistake of booking it in to kia boston for an MOT. I also looked at an online quote out of curiosity more than anything to see what sort of price id get trade in towards a different car. MOT day came and I dropped me car off at 8am when it opened. I expressed that I needed it back by 3.30pm for work. They said that wouldn't be a problem. 3.30 came and my car wasn't ready. I ended up having to walk to my partners work and pinch his car for him to finish work early and collect my car when it was ready before it closed. I never recieved an invoice for the work that was done. Just a link to bumper to settle the figure but as I was in a rush to get to work I just paid it. Next day when I drove my car, it had no get up and go. It was running but there was just no power behind it. Next day the engine management light came on. We was going on holiday so I didnt have time to get it in any garage again before we left so it sat on the drive for over a week. When we got back, I contacted my usual mechanic who arranged a service and to check it all over for me. He figured the engine management light was down to a sensor (i cant remember the name). Hes changed the sensor and cleared the engine management light but it still has no power. Upon further inspection hes seen that the turbo has been disconnected! Not something that happens by its self, so someone must have done it. Very coincidental considering this problem wasn't there until my car went into kia and very coincidental considering id asked for a quote. Seems to me like they wanted to fob me off and buy my car dirt cheap and have a quick easy fix to sell it on. Not happening. But meanwhile its cost me a small fortune in labour to get it fixed when there was nothing wrong with it when it went in. I will never return to kia again! Scammers!

Lucas is a star
We set off travelling to Birmingham when our car started double bleeping. There was nothing showing as an alert on the dash just this double bleeping every 30 seconds. We checked the handbook and nothing so called Boston Kia as Adrian was a great help when we bought the car and had hoped he would be available but Lucas answered. What an absolute legend! He searched the web, asked others in the showroom, checked the Sportage in the showroom too to see if he could find out what it was and help us. As we were travelling we lost signal a couple of times and he called us back straight away each time. After stopping to reset the car system the bleeps were still going. Lucas asked amongst other thing's if the middle back seat belt was buckled, it wasn’t as we’d had the grandchildren with us last week, so he advised we buckle it, long shot but worth trying, there was no way we could travel another 2 hours not knowing what the beeps were! Amazingly it was exactly that, the middle seat belt needs fastening! Who knew! We want to say again a BIG thank you to Lucas for his continued support and efforts to help us. He could have easily just said I don’t know bring the car in but he didn’t, he persevered and didn’t give up trying different suggestions. The call backs too when we lost signal was so welcomed by us. Thank you Lucas!

My wife and I have recently completed a part exchange for a fabulous red Kia Ceed and we would like to thank Emma for navigating us successfully through the process.
Emma was extremely sociable, friendly and very attentive to our needs and in particular in providing all the information on the vehicle's operation especially during the test drive. This was important as it is over 12 years since I last drove an automatic vehicle and it is the first time for my wife.
Emma took us through the buying process in a systematic and professional manner despite problems with our home mail deliveries from Royal Mail concerning DVLA documentation.
