Five Star Service

The team at Dragon Image are always knowledgeable, helpful and go above and beyond with their service. I have shopped with them recently for camera gear and equipment to set up my home studio and am so grateful for all they did for me to help me get set up!

Disappointing Defective Product and Customer Service

I recently purchased two NiSi 82mm Pro Nano HUC Protector filters and one NiSi HUC C-PL PRO Nano 82mm Circular Polarizer Filter from Dragon Image on February 26th, 2024, expecting to receive high-quality products and reliable customer service. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

Upon receiving the filters, I noticed that one of the Circular Polarizer Filter had obvious scratches, likely due to a manufacturing defect. I immediately contacted Dragon Image via email, attaching photos of the damage and requesting a replacement.

However, I did not receive any response from the customer service team. Despite sending two follow-up emails, Dragon Image remained entirely absent and never addressed my requests for assistance.
It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to find that a company shows no concern for its customers once they have made a purchase.

This lack of support and communication from Dragon Image reflects a negligent attitude towards their customers and their problems. It is clear that their post-sale policy leaves much to be desired and offers no guarantee of satisfaction for buyers.

In conclusion, my experience with Dragon Image was extremely negative. Not only did I receive a defective product, but I was also ignored and neglected by their customer service. If I were to consider another purchase from them in the future, I would think twice and likely opt for a more reliable retailer that values customer needs.

camera purchase

I ordered a professional camera and lens from overseas. The service was prompt, efficient and pleasant. Sue at DragonImage was a pleasure to deal with. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Different item than pictured

Wanted a rode nt-1 kit with the metal pop filter, found it posted on their site and ordered it. Received a different kit with the nylon filter (not the one pictured on their site). They told me they would accept a refund, but not for the shipping to me, or the return shipping (putting me out $50, $25 each way).

When I complained, they told me they would "get back to me with a solution soon". I have not received an email back in 16 days.

Shop elsewhere if possible

Prompt and professional service

Had a great experience ordering my studio headphones from Dragonimage. The product was shipped promptly, delivered on time, for a reasonable price, despite the transaction occurring in the middle of a pandemic. Very professional retailer and I highly recommend!

Great personal customer service..

Great customer service,
What i originally ordered was out of stock so i got an email from Bradley who very was prompt in his email replies and suggested a solution.
Which worked out perfect, and shipping only took 1 day

Owner openly admits on another review…

Owner openly admits on another review here to not complying with Australian return laws (they say they won't take returns on opened paper rolls, even if there's a major issue such as it not matching the online description) which is a major breach of Australian consumer laws. Owner should know better.

Owner is a passive aggressive jerk that lectures people constantly and will only serve those who he feels will make him money. The rest are a waste of time for him as money is much more important to him than service.

Other staff are ok but illegal return policies and bad owner mean you should stay away.

Sorry to see your view, we have been selling thousands of rolls in last 20 years with the same colour swatch provided by the factory in USA. I already decided to show goodwill and cover the loss and exchanged for you on the spot, If you are still not happy? Shall I give you another free roll to cover your stress if that could make you happy again, please? Hope you understand us that retail is so tough today with a tiny margin and huge overhead cost. If we close the door you will lose huge convenience ended up paying high shipping cost.

Give This Company A Go

I've been purchasing from this company for many years now. Buying strobist styled equipment, from beauty dishes to C stands. The equipment always arrives very well packed and usually the next day. I feel confident in recommending this company as I have found their service above average. They have regular updates to website and I believe it's well worth checking them out for your photographic needs.

Poor service for small freelancers.

Placed an order through the website for an item that was marked as 'in stock'.

Nine days later I hadn't received the item or any further notification. I contacted support and they informed me the item was out of stock and they would send something else.

Unless there is an Australian sales restriction on an item I would recommend all multimedia be ordered from B&H. The shipping price is the same in some cases (not sure how that works), you receive tracking information, and items always arrive on time or before.

The Australian Multimedia suppliers ( not just Dragonimage ) only want to fuss over you if you're making a big purchase (commission). If not you get lost in the electronic ether or get hand balled to a junior rep.

Its not the kind of service you would expect from companies that charge an absolute premium and then some because they are exclusive distributors.

If B&H didn't place country restrictions on some items these Australian suppliers would go out of business. Just to be fair I've received similar experiences from Lemac and Video Guys.

Disappointed.

My experience with Dragon Image has unfortunately not been a pleasant one. After placing an order for some v-lock batteries and paying the flat rate for shipping, I was emailed the following day telling me that I had to pay an additional $20 to cover the cost of freighting the items to W.A. Failing that, my order would be cancelled and I would be refunded the cost of the order.
Fortunately they agreed that this was an issue of their own and that the flat rate shipping didn't capture the cost of road freighting larger batteries. So the additional cost was absorbed by DI. Unfortunately however, they decided to send the batteries via Hunter Express. Upon looking at customer reviews of this freight service, I struggled to find a review over 2 stars for the past 5 years. It's now been more than 2 weeks and I'm yet to recieve my order.
I know that the freight service is to blame for the lengthy wait, but I'm incredibly disappointed that Dragon Image wouldn't choose a more reliable freight service after the significant cost of the order.

Friendly and professional service!!

You can always trust the guys at Dragon Image for a friendly and professional service. They know their products very well and allow you to take your time testing and setting up the product before making a decision to purchase.

James was very helpful with me, taking the time to run through a few products I was interested in, then leaving me to play with the items before deciding what I thought was best for the job. I did leave with a pretty full boot!

All their products are professional grade at a very reasonable price. Will be shopping there again soon!

Down to earth and learnt something new

I just happened to be in Dragon Image when they were shooting a video on some battery powered flashes. Tthey took the time to show me what they were doing and trying to achieve and I walked away with the item I wanted and the knowledge of something new!! Thanks Dragon Sydney!
