Extremely disappointing experience from Downham Market Complimentary Health Clinic
I paid £132 for a medical report for an employee and was told on 4 August that the report was ready. I have still not received it (14 August).
Since 4 August, I have sent five emails chasing the report and have received no response. I have also made at least five telephone calls, leaving messages but none have been returned.
Having exhausted every other way of trying to contact the clinic, I attended in person today.
I explained that I was still waiting for the report and that the delay was causing significant problems because it was required in connection with an employee's fitness for work.
I was told that the administrator was sick. I explained the difficulties the delay was causing, but the interaction became extremely unpleasant. I was eventually told "off you go lady, off you go" while being dismissively waved away.
I found this extremely patronising and unprofessional, particularly given that I am a paying customer who has paid £132 for a report I was told was ready.
I completely understand that staff illness can cause administrative difficulties, but I would expect a professional practice to have some means of dealing with customers who have already paid for an important report, or at the very least to communicate with them.
At the time of writing, despite five emails, numerous telephone calls and now a personal visit to the clinic, I am still waiting for the report and have received no satisfactory response.
This has been one of the most unpleasant experiences I have had as a customer, and based on my experience I would not use this clinic again.
