I visited this builders' merchant intending to buy some materials, but unfortunately my experience with customer service was very disappointing.
The older lady i think name was Rose serving at the counter was unfriendly and came across as quite rude. Her manner of speaking was dismissive and lacked basic courtesy, which made me feel unwelcome as a customer.
Good customer service is an important part of any business, and sadly this experience put me off making a purchase. I hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and works to improve the service experience for future customers

I recently made a purchase from DMS Flooring Supplies (Colindale branch), which turned out to be faulty. When I raised this with the branch manager, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, he immediately blamed my fitters without any proof. His attitude was dismissive, unprofessional, and frankly insulting.

I’ve since emailed their head office three times, and they’ve had plenty of time to address the issue, yet I have still not received a single response. What should have been a straightforward matter covered under basic UK consumer law has been completely ignored.

The lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to follow their legal obligations is unacceptable. I expected far better from a company of this size. I would not recommend DMS based on this experience.

Both Martin and Josh at the Hemel Hempstead branch have both been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service and extremely fast delivery. Would highly recommend.

Left me a box short as they included a box of totally different karndean planks.

The boxes that were correct had a manufacturing issue so my flooring guys who are award winning refused to lay the floor.

Had a battle to return the faulty items as they tried telling me it’s my problem to sort with Karndean when they are the supplier.

Then when collected now they have the flooring back and my money and they are not responding to messages as clearly not being helpful and refunding my money which is tantamount to theft.

I will be opening a chargeback with my credit card provider to obtain a refund.

Really nasty and unhelpful company, by far the worst that I have ever had to deal with.

Who do you think you are getting the product returned and then ignoring messages as you don’t want to refund??

Fabulous company and people. They went out their way to go and collect the flooring I ordered, just to make sure it was in in time.
Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

The builders are on the "last leg" after three weeks of disruption. In this period I sourced the electrical equipment, since the kitchen planners offered poorly rated equipment at extortionate prices. So I purchased directly saving literally thousands. During this period I have encountered various different level of service. However, whilst I have yet to receive delivery, I only experienced the best, by some distance, when speaking to Richard at DMS.

Why can't other companies offer a simple efficient service experienced as offered by Richard. Well done!
