I found Veronica to be accessible, neuroaffirming (as I am a disabled researcher so that was important) and more than capable. She also was very empathic and supportive when my program was not doing their part. It can be hard to continue to feel capable when those charged to be your champion disappoint--you can internalize that as your failure when working in isolation.
