We have had this installed for nearly 2 years now and broadly it works well. I installed it myself following their instructions which were not quite detailed enough for the BM3 profile... See more

Excellent product - I love not having to hang radiators but not losing out on heat. Innovative, genius product & looks just like skirting. It gives much more wall space for decor. Customer service was fab & they went out their way to help. Thanks guys

my answer :
You did indeed try to solve the problem and we followed your recommendations to the letter, especially regarding the 2nd replacement, which we paid for.
This cost us a lot of money, and you refused to reimburse us for the faulty equipment, which was brand new and under warranty...
Neither the 1st nor subsequent installations were carried out by our family, but by reputable, professional companies. Specialized heating companies
The water was treated according to your recommendations and the circuit was well protected, yet your baseboards were pierced in many places.
Transport was several hundred euros for the last delivery proposed, so it's not a freebie that you offered us.
We made 3 replacements in all, and your equipment proved to be very fragile. I strongly advise against installing Discreteheat baseboard heaters in modern or new installations.
I expect to be reimbursed at least for the material supplied, as a minimum...
Best regards
A customer

I have had Thermaskirt installed for almost 10 years and have never had a problem. The product is amazing and provides powerful instance heat. The cable guide at the bottom of the skirting also assists with hiding unsightly cables. I cannot recommend it enough. Very good product!!

Had an issue with a valve today and called DiscreteHeat - Lauren provided excellent customer service and resolved the issue without any fuss! Would thoroughly recommend.

I first came across Discrete Heat as an installer 15 years ago in Holland Park. During a refurbishment project. The designer recommended heated skirting. Optimising space and heating efficiency. Was very impressed with the product. Very stylish and trouble free. Great customer service and technical support. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Now I am an installer in London for their products. Very impressed with their level of professionalism and customer care. Taking full responsibility for the quality of their products and after sales support.

We’ve had the system for many years and are very happy with it. Recent contact about a possible upgrade has been handled very well and clear advice given. We’re very satisfied customers.

So my experience with this company has finally come to an end, it started back in February 2023.
Constant calls, emails and contact to secure the sale. Once there was an issue this all stopped and the chasing began with the typical answer of they are on another call, can they call you back, we will be in touch.
My case the skirting didn't even arrive and due to a holiday and hospital stay I was unaware and for two weeks they didn't follow anything up. Upon my return our builders had completed as much as they could and it was time for them to leave our job and they could only fit us back in for the last of work to be done in August.
To be fair discrete tried to fit is in but with our circumstances and several hospital refurals our family just needed their home back and bedrooms to sleep in. We finished the job with standard pvc skirting and radiators (massive appreciation to truly pvc and manissa who stepped up and delivered next day)
Issue refund request, declined and given several different answers of what we were entitled to. The phone call with Martin, wow just wow. The most unprofessional call with sighing, being told I should find something better to do with my time and it's not his fault my children are poorly (I know it's not but that is the reason I couldn't keep waiting for their installers or my installers) Just rude conversation and actually put the phone down on me. I too was upset and frustrated on the phone but I wasn't there to have a company to represent or at work surrounded by colleagues. I was in a home, trying to make do with rooms with no heating and work men unable to finish a job due to parts.
So I was told I was cancelling my order and subject to quality checks, restock charges and cancellation charges.
After discrete agreed to send us a returns labels to send back the parts we received (covers and strips) it has taken over a month to finally get a part refund.
Then they tried to send me a threatening email demanding I review my actions as they had a delivery note which was not signed by me. On a date my whole family was in London, (I was able to prove with a hotel receipt) They claimed I had the goods, when in earlier emails they said the goods were found sat with the courier after being lost and were getting returned to them. I then got an email to say I could "cancel" as they had the goods back hence why I had to pay restocking fees and quality checking fees. The respond to this email calling them out was never received.
It's just been a headache from start to finish and we are around £600 down for the experience.
However, looking at other reviews it was a lucky escape just loosing £600 as the product once installed comes with it's own issues and again they can't provide good customer service or after sales at all.
Total shame as it doesn't take a lot to check on their customers make sure they have everything they need. Be polite and professional to those that are paying your wage in theory.
Regardless of who's fault (they will probably comment saying I broke my contract by not giving them a date I needed the good by but it should have arrived 3 weeks before my builders were due to finish and it's a personal matter why I needed them completed before my children came home from hospital) I might be lucky as every other business we have used for work, has had a reliable courier and we haven't had an issue. So regardless of the blame, I came to them with an issue, and they choose to deal with it in the most unprofessional manner.
The same unprofessional manner others have experience and why my story has been looked into by watchdog. If anyone else would like to share their experience let me know and I can pass on the email for the people I am still speaking to about business who lack customer service.
Updated to response: My installers are good but they can't fit something that never arrived??
I really hope potential customers read your responses as you really aren't equipped to deal well with customer service. Had I read these I would not have placed an order due to how you come across. Your putting people off the way your response.

We had a ThermaSkirt installed in the summer of 2014. Our initial concern was finding a heating system that needed to be efficient but also blended into the new rear extension layout, leaving us with flexibility on where to position the furniture, etc.
Essentially the system looks like a skirting board, and we’ve now had it coupled to our Honeywell Evohome system, so the whole household heating system is optimised as efficiently as possible.
After ten years of being fault-free, we are very pleased with the decision.
Enquiries to Discrete Heat have been handled professionally and quickly when required, from initial tentative enquiry to design layout and then installation.

We installed Thermaskirt in two areas on a project some 7 years ago and have had no problems with it whatsoever. 7 years later we have had an issue with a thermostatic valve which when we contacted Discrete Heat they identified from the photo we sent and the part was replaced free of charge. So can only say absolutely brilliant customer service.

DiscreetHeet supplied and installed their Thermaskirt for our project. Since then it produced the bad sound when operational. The system has been bled several times and all installations checked by both plumbing engineers and air source heat pump teams - both concluded that there was an issue with the Themaskirt itself. However, DiscreetHeat would not accept the issue and would not come out without the prepayment. Beware.

Great product. Awful customer service. Product didn't arrive on the date it was expected - I had to ring to find out where it was and it hadn't even started to be manufactured yet, no communication about this from Thermaskirt. Finally received the product 2 weeks late. Thermaskirt offered no apology and asked why I was complaining about the delay as 2 weeks isn't a significant delay. No compensation was offered and when I asked for this to be considered it was a hard no. I was told to expect calls from the manager repeatedly and they never came.
In response to this review, Martin (Founder and Managing Director) got in touch and has been wonderful. Brilliant communication and service from Martin that has adequately rectified the above - just a shame it took so long to get somebody to listen.

There is no doubt that thermaskirt works, and it works well. We have a 1920s semi detached property and have been able to dramatically reduce our usage with both the flow temperature and time the heating is on. We have had the system installed just under 4 months now and it has kept us warm and cosy during winter.
I definitely recommend using the torus capping as it adds a complete finish to the system.
I want to thank Dave for his help from our initial meeting, and Mick for his expert installation, it really does look just like skirting and blends in so well - he has done a great job.
One thing in particular I appreciated was the fact that once you send the floor plans in, the team will not try and sell you the active skirting on every wall in a room if you do not require this, instead, they install mdf skirting which looks identical. We opted to slightly oversize the system so that we were heat pump ready.

Professional - tailored to fit the customer’s needs- no hard sell.
The installer we were put in touch was equally impressive.

I'm a heating engineer, fairly traditional in what is installed, this product promotes radiant heat, a new concept for me, as the radiators I generally install deliver heat by convection.
Initial impressions are good with the installation fairly straightforward, the type of heat in the space is very different, being stable
non drafty, only just installed but I'm reasonably confident that this has been a good purchase.

Answered all my questions, pointed me in the right direction for the correct items, very polite and professional.

Our son Thomas is a wheelchair user and our house is narrow so we didn't want any radiators taking up space on our walls. Carl the installer was knowledgeable and efficient and has done a fantastic job.

My experience of dealing with Discrete Heat has been an absolute pleasure. From my first call with Maria, to the team that installed the finished product just wow.
Thermaskirt is a fantatic product and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The team that work at Discrete Heat are a dream to speak with, always answering any questions I had and followed up after the installation to see how it all went.
The team that installed the thermaskirt were professional and worked hard to ensure that the finished product was perfect.
The product itself is completely unbelievable, they have totally blown us all away in terms of efficiency and appearence.
I cannot recommend this company and its staff highly enough.
Thank you all so much for providing me a wonderful service and I look forward to using you again in the future.

First time using Discreet Heat and I cannot fault their service. The knowledge and helpfulness of the staff is first class. Lauryn helped me identify some components I required and I can't thank her enough!
