What they say they do and actually do are definitely not the same.
I have been having issues with Discovery+ for a few weeks. They cancelled my subscription, but on the same day I re subscribed. But things did not go well. Even though I had re subscribed, it was not accepted. Then finally, after a phone call with them on Wednesday 25th February, I was told that they had sorted out the problem and I could watch the Winter Sports again. In the time between being out of subscription and finally re subscribing the Winter Olympics had finished and replays were not available. Until today.
But when I wanted to watch a replay, I found that I could not do so. The reason: I WAS NOT SUBSCRIBED TO DISCOVERY+.
I have been so badly treated by Discovery+ that as much as I love Winter Sports, I have no further interest with this company. At my age I can do without all the aggregation. I value my health,
And the reason for their cancellation of my subscription?
I asked, and was told that it was because my bank did not make the monthly payment. So I was all set to complain to them. But I am so glad that I did not. I checked my account and found that my bank had indeed paid the subscription for January, on 26th January. The next payment was due on 23rd February - the SAME DAY that I received their email telling me they were cancelling my subscription - due to non payment!
Discovery+ really do not know what they are doing. One thing I know they will not be doing: I will not receive a grovelling apology to me for the way I have been so disgracefully treated. Because for Discovery+ I expect that their treatment of me is just par for the course.
